Longkong rice from Samoeng

Samaeng is a laid-back town in Chiang Mai province, approximately 45 kilometers from Chiang Mai city center, with a travel time of about 1 hour and 15 minutes. My visit took place in September 2017, during the late rainy season and early winter. For this trip, I rented a Honda Jazz and took the Hang Dong-Samaeng route. The journey was relatively smooth, allowing for a relaxing drive while enjoying the scenic views.

We arrived in the late afternoon, just as the sun was setting.
In more casual terms, we were catching some rays against the setting sun. ^^

This trip to Samoeng was a true vacation for me. I was able to recharge my body and spend time in nature, even sleeping in a rice field! If you're looking for a relaxing getaway or want to experience sleeping in a rice field like I did, this is a place I highly recommend.
