Late Rains, Early Winter at Bor Klue...
Maintaining the original concept, which is to combine work and travel seamlessly, this trip is another example of how we leverage our work schedule as a form of leisure.
Salt well...!!! Working in Nan for 3 years, I finally got it this year. I acted cool on the outside, but I screamed inside for 10 rounds, running around in circles. I got it! Salt well, Patcharae is coming to see you!
Our arduous task this time was finding accommodation. Oh dear, where should we stay? I opened pages, websites, Pantip, backpacking travel groups, and everything to find accommodation in Bor Klue, but every place I called was full. My hope began to dwindle until I came across "Mon Sai Lom." Looking at the website, the atmosphere seemed good. Well, the reviews only showed beautiful pictures, with fog floating all around. Let's take a chance and see if we get lucky enough to encounter the fog like others... So I called them, what else could I do?...
The other end of the line said, "The bathroom is shared. Our houses are separate, and each house can accommodate two people. The room is 600 baht with breakfast. We have towels ready for you."
The first thing I heard was…shared bathroom. From experience, it's not that great, but for the atmosphere, let's do it. Since the members are ready, Patchara is ready too.
It took us about 3 hours to travel from the city to Bo Kluea, driving along the Santisuk district route. Our leader was more engrossed in driving than playing a game, navigating the winding roads. We arrived at our accommodation around 8 pm. Fortunately, shortly after our arrival, the rain followed us closely. Well, at least there was hope for tomorrow. We were sure to encounter fog.
Shortly after arriving, I prepared to take a shower. I must say that the "bathroom" here is very clean. There are slippers to change into before entering the bathroom, hot water, and soap and shampoo (dispensed from a pump). Wow, that's amazing!
The house provides slippers for changing, water and glasses, a fan, and a mosquito net, creating a truly homely atmosphere. After showering, I went to bed early as I had an appointment with the fog in the morning. I set multiple alarms for fear of oversleeping. Day 1 is over. Sweet dreams and good night.

Morning of the 2nd
Waking up at 5 am, opening the mosquito net again and again. When will it be dawn? I can't wait to see you, mist!
The rooster's crow echoed throughout the village, louder than any alarm clock. It was 6:00 AM, and I couldn't wait any longer. I got out of bed and was greeted by the faint glow of the rising sun. To my surprise, there was a thick fog blanketing the area. I couldn't believe my eyes! It was truly a sight to behold. I knew I had made the right decision to stay here. Without wasting any time, I grabbed my camera and started taking pictures. I didn't want to miss this opportunity, as I had a 7:00 AM appointment.
This establishment offers a breakfast of five-colored rice porridge, including purple yam and sweet potato. The taste is delicious. While enjoying the porridge and taking photos, I felt a sense of contentment. However, time was limited, and after less than an hour, I had to depart to begin my primary duty: work.
As we mentioned earlier, we are working in Ban Phasuk, Santisuk District, Nan Province. While waiting for the team to record footage, we volunteered to take still photos around the village.
The majority of houses in this area are still two-story wooden structures. The surroundings are characterized by mountains and rivers. Occasionally, children from the village can be seen playing, but more often, clotheslines and closed houses are encountered. The quiet atmosphere provides a glimpse into the local way of life.
Today's work was completed early, and the reward was... a visit to the salt mine to see the process of making rock salt.
I tried the salt-boiled egg. At first, I thought it would be too salty, but when I actually ate it, the taste was well-balanced and delicious. The salt was also delicious. ^^
Our journey ends here as we must rush back to the city. We have an appointment with the airline at 7:00 PM. This concludes our trip… ^^
