However, if your budget is tight or your schedule doesn't allow for a long trip, consider a nearby destination that offers a similar atmosphere without breaking the bank. Just a short distance away in Chonburi, you can find plenty to see and do.

Embark on a journey to a new haven near Pattaya, Kept Bangsaray, a Maldivian-inspired retreat boasting sea-view accommodations with private balconies featuring swimming pools and Jacuzzis.

The Cape Bang Saray Hotel is located in the fishing community of Bang Saray district, Chonburi province, approximately 27 kilometers south of Pattaya city (on the way to Sattahip). The hotel's interior design is inspired by the concept of sailing the seas, evident from the large ship's rudder used as the entrance sign and the lobby's ambiance, which evokes the feeling of being inside a ship's hull.

The hotel's accommodations are divided into two zones. The first zone comprises rooms located in a four-story building, the same building as the lobby. There are six room types available, all of which face the sea. Some types feature private pools or jacuzzis on the room's balcony.

Another zone is the waterfront accommodation, which consists of only three Kept Water Villas. These villas feature a state-of-the-art water retention and treatment system that prevents wastewater from being discharged into the surrounding water bodies.

The rooms are connected by a wooden walkway that leads to a sunset viewing point.

Room 101 is our accommodation for tonight. It is the first Kept Water Villa, a circular building with two connected sections, floating above the sea.

The living space is divided into two sections. The first section is the bedroom, which features a large bed in the center of the room.

Half of the room's wall is a large, clear glass window that offers a view of the ocean, sky, and mountains.

Outside the room, there is a small balcony with two soft cushions, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view.

The interior utilizes a white and brown color scheme, creating a warm and visually comfortable atmosphere.

The room is fully equipped with amenities, including a TV, refrigerator, kettle, and cloth bag.

The second section is a spacious bathroom, which is divided into a shower room, a toilet room, a washbasin, and a Jacuzzi.

The bathroom features a wet and dry separation with a curtain. The shower offers both regular and rain shower options, along with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner.

The curtain can be opened to enjoy a 180-degree view of the outside.

Bathroom amenities include towels, bathrobes, umbrellas, hairdryers, safes, and slippers.

The infinity pool, a large body of water with no visible edge, is situated between the guest rooms and the dining area.

One side of the pool faces the sea, offering a distant view of the ocean and the high-rise buildings of Pattaya city.

The poolside features an open-air dining area with a delightful ambiance.

Beyond the last Kept Water Villa, there is a pavilion on the water where you can relax and enjoy the view.

Walk a little further to the end of the path, where you will find a romantic spot to sit and watch the sunset.

The sun gradually set behind the mountains, casting its final rays on the clouds, creating a breathtaking backdrop that resembled a watercolor painting with a gradient of colors.

As darkness began to fall, the lights from the rooms and hallway illuminated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

For dinner, there are two options: a seafood option for grilling and an A La Carte option with dishes to order from a menu.

Seafood platters feature a variety of fresh seafood arranged in a tiered container. Diners can choose their desired seafood and have it grilled by the staff immediately.

The A La Carte section offers a wide variety of dishes, with prices averaging between 200 and 300 baht per dish.

The meal began with light dishes such as a balsamic crab salad (top left), Parma Ham & Melon (bottom left), smoked Atlantic salmon Caesar salad (top right), and our favorite, bruschetta Mango & Mozzarella (bottom right). The bruschetta featured crispy bread topped with a sauce of ripe mango and cow's milk cheese, a delightful combination of flavors.

Next, savor the unique and flavorful Bouillabaisse, a French-style seafood soup, followed by a pumpkin soup paired with fresh shellfish.

The main course features a pan-seared Atlantic salmon steak drizzled with a refreshing mango salad, alongside an Australian fillet steak, a lean cut of beef, bathed in a rich red wine sauce.

The meal concludes with a Mixed Berries Crème Brûlée, featuring a crisp caramelized sugar crust atop a smooth and creamy custard, offering a delightful balance of sweetness.

Kept Bangsaray is another hotel that impressed us greatly. The comfortable rooms, beautiful nautical-style decor, large swimming pool, and the overall atmosphere at all times of day made our stay truly enjoyable.
