กิ่วแม่ปาน 🌳

A short yet stunning trail offering breathtaking views and a chance to immerse yourself in the wonders of nature.

The Kiw Mae Pan Nature Trail: A Must-Visit on Doi Inthanon

The Kiw Mae Pan Nature Trail is a popular hiking destination on Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand. Despite its short length, the trail offers stunning views and a memorable experience for nature lovers. This guide provides information for those interested in exploring the beauty and natural wonders of Kiw Mae Pan.

18/11/17 Good morning, sunshine.

We stopped greeting each other before reaching our destination.

The breathtaking morning mist dispels the drowsiness that has lingered throughout the night.

Capturing this moment, a memory of the first light we witnessed together.

Get ready!

The morning temperature was a pleasant 11 degrees, with no frost.

Park Fees

  • Thai citizens: Adults 40 baht, Children 20 baht
  • Foreigners: Adults 200 baht, Children 100 baht
  • Guide fee for the Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail: 200 baht per group (maximum 10 people)

The initial steps were met with heavy breathing.

The initial steep incline of the path necessitates greater strides than usual.

The guide will divide us into a single file line to continue walking.

During the journey, the guide will provide commentary on the history and highlights of each location.

The first point we will encounter is the **"Lansadet Waterfall"**.

A small waterfall in the middle of the forest. It will have a lot of water after the rainy season has passed.

Note: Swimming is not permitted at this waterfall. Visitors are only allowed to observe and take pictures.

This forest is predominantly composed of cold-climate trees that have adapted to survive in a cold and humid environment.

After wading through the dense jungle, the path ahead will lead us to

"Alpine Meadow"

The vast meadow on the slopes of Kiew Mae Pan.

Emerging from the dense forest, it felt like stepping into a completely different world.

The lush green meadows transform into a golden hue as the monsoon season fades away.

A breathtaking 360-degree view of the sea of mist awaits those who reach the summit. Missing this opportunity would be a great regret.

Finally! We have reached the landmark on the Mae Pan Trail.

At this point, there will be a balcony extending out. It can be said that if you don't reach this point, you haven't reached Kiew Mae Pan.

At this point, there is a particularly large crowd waiting to take記念 photos at the highest point of Kew Mae Pan.

I long to stand here and watch the sea of mist for a while.

"Sang Kiw Mae Pan", another viewpoint for tourists, is like climbing down into a sea of fog.

The trail is very steep, even though the park authorities have installed wooden railings for support.

For your safety, please exercise caution when walking around.

Walk in a straight line, admire the beauty, it's very enjoyable. Highly recommended!

During the winter season on the Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail, the temperature drops significantly, making it extremely cold.

When the temperature drops below 0 degrees Celsius, frost forms on the grass blades. (This phenomenon is called "Mae Kaning" in Thai.)

This is an amazing natural phenomenon in Thailand.

The short trail on Kew Mae Pan offers stunning views of wildflowers blooming along the way.

The Two Pagodas Viewpoint is not located on the main hiking trail.

A detour leads up the mountain a little further. It is at this point that we can see the back side.

Both the Nang Phaya Shrine and the Nang Phaya Phumisiri Shrine

The descent was no easy feat, proving to be even more tiring than the ascent.

It is recommended to prepare your body physically before embarking on your journey.

Each tree strives to grow taller to reach sunlight.

The ground is covered with a variety of ferns and mosses, which thrive in the humid environment.

Mae Pan Nature Trail is closed annually for forest restoration.

The closed tourist season is between June and October.

The tourist season will reopen between November and May.

The forest here is truly pristine. The trees and leaves are incredibly green, much greener than those found elsewhere. It's no wonder this place is so well-preserved.

A natural gift that serves as a learning ground for the ecosystem.

We completed a short 3-kilometer hike on the Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail.

Approximately 3 hours, with the majority of the time spent taking photos at scenic viewpoints and along the wooden railing.

This trail is incredibly enjoyable. Visitors to the Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail will undoubtedly fall in love with it.

The Giw Mae Pan Nature Study Trail is open daily from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The recommended time to visit is in the morning during early December to January.

The face of an exhausted person looks like this: a faint smile that seems somewhat forced. 555555555

After resting until their fatigue subsided, it was time for a combined breakfast and lunch, ensuring a satisfyingly full meal.

Bring it on! Spicy papaya salad, grilled chicken, northern Thai sausage, and fermented pork wrapped in banana leaves, all served with steaming hot sticky rice.

With full bellies, the army continued their journey. Since they were already in the area, they decided to visit nearby tourist attractions.

🌳 Doi Ang Ka 🌳

Another must-visit landmark on Doi Inthanon for nature lovers, greenery, and freshness. Take a leisurely stroll.

The trail features a wooden bridge path at an elevation of approximately 2,500 meters above sea level.

The origin of the highest natural water source in Thailand, with a cool and humid climate almost all year round.

Location: The Ang Ka Nature Trail is located opposite the summit of Doi Inthanon, with a path leading down to the trailhead.

A visit to the Ang Ka reception area is guaranteed to impress, as it is surrounded by nature and offers a comfortable and enjoyable walking experience.

The trail is mostly shaded, providing some relief from the sun. You won't get too hot, I promise!

The dense moss cover indicates a high level of fertility.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

This is a highlight spot. Mark it down! This spot is located just before the end of the trail.

The opposite side is the highest point of Siam. Cross the road and take a selfie with the sign, or else you'll be accused of not having been there.

Pay homage to the stupa of Chao Inthawichayanon
