Where to go for this long weekend? I sat down and thought about the criteria for myself: clear seawater, white sand beaches, beautiful coral reefs, few people, and a place I've never been to before. After some research, "Rok Island" seemed to tick all the boxes. Thus, a new journey began.
Koh Rok is located in Krabi province and can be reached from Phuket by speedboat. It is an island with a long, white sandy beach with fine, soft sand that feels comfortable on your feet. The sand is so white and the underwater world is so beautiful. Let's take a look. ----->
This trip was with Loveandaman.
Underwater photos were taken with Olympus TG-4 and Gopro4silver.
The Olympus TG-4 camera can be rented from Loveandaman. The files are beautiful. Once you take a picture, you can connect to your smartphone via wifi and upload the picture immediately.
The hotel shuttle arrived at the port promptly at 7:00 am.
After checking in, you will receive a wristband to wear. It is not optional, and you must return it when you leave.
A simple and unlimited breakfast that is sure to please.
Banana cake, cookies, and croissants are delicious.
A variety of fruit juices, tea, coffee, Ovaltine, Milo, and plain water are available.
Before departing for Koh Rok, the guide will inform you of the rules and regulations. After removing your shoes, board the boat and head towards Koh Rok. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, but may be slightly longer if the sea conditions are rough.
We have arrived at a small, lesser-known island called Koh Rok.
Hello, Koh Rok, the water is clear and cool, you can see the coral reefs.
Soft, white sand awaits your touch.
Fragments of coral scattered along the white sandy beach, coupled with crystal-clear water and a vibrant blue sky.
Racha Island is covered with a dense canopy of towering trees, creating a refreshingly cool atmosphere.
Koh Rok is part of the Mu Ko Lanta National Park in Krabi Province.
An array of delectable snacks and treats awaits, a paradise for food enthusiasts. Every item is a culinary delight, a must-try for those with discerning palates.
The fruit juices are abundant, like a whole orchard, and there's also Italian soda.
Love Andaman's Turtle Brother
Those who haven't tried it are missing out. It's incredibly delicious.
Koh Rok also offers nature trails for those who have time after lunch. For those who prefer not to walk, relaxation on the beach is also an option.
We have reached the first viewpoint. There is a clear barrier and sign. Please take photos from here and do not cross the rope.
The atmosphere was like something out of Jurassic Park.
The second viewpoint is a bit scary, with no barriers and a sheer drop of approximately 50 meters.
Zooming in further reveals a different kind of beauty.
The third viewpoint is stunningly beautiful.
The viewpoint is abundant, but I got tired before reaching it. I had to take a boat to the island, and time was limited, so I missed it.
After disembarking, I took a photo with the local, Brother Sichuan. He must be too shy to come out.
This area is teeming with Sichuan hairy crabs. Please be cautious when walking.
Koh Haa, a diving spot so beautiful it defies description. Come see for yourself.
Splash! Crystal clear water.
A very large pufferfish, over 60 cm in size.
Reef-associated organisms
The star of the show is Nemo, the clownfish. There are many of them, and they are very large.
The cuteness of clownfish
A school of fish swims by, prompting the photographer to quickly capture the beautiful scene.
Starfish
Clownfish possess a protective coating that shields them from the venomous spines of anemones, allowing them to utilize these organisms as safe havens. In contrast, humans who come into contact with anemones experience intense pain and stinging sensations. Therefore, it is advisable to avoid close proximity to these creatures.
The anemone, which serves as the home of clownfish, is poisonous and should not be touched under any circumstances.
