Review of the first experience of sleeping in a tent hugging the fog at Huai Nam Dang National Park, Chiang Mai
The crisp winter air invigorates the city dwellers, igniting a yearning for a cozy escape amidst the misty mountains.
The starting point of this trip...
We've been wanting to go camping in a national park for a while now. We want to experience nature, not just stay in a tent at a resort. But the problem is, we don't know how to set up a tent.
This refers to a "Camping Truck," which is a food truck concept that moves to different locations.
We visited in early November when they were setting up tents at Huai Nam Dang. We had the opportunity to sleep in a tent, which was a great experience. It was a great way to experience camping with HisoNomad Camping Truck. Their concept is a one-stop service for people looking to rent camping equipment for a comfortable and professional camping experience.
(They are not a private tent, but they will move to set up in various national parks with beautiful views. Those who want to go should try to follow the page hisonomad.campingtruck because they move the tent points all the time.)
Now that we've established that, let's get down to business...
After landing, we immediately rented a car and drove to Huai Nam Dang, which took about 3 hours. The road was comfortable and not as rough as driving up a regular mountain. There were some steep sections, but the road was in good condition.
Arriving at Huai Nam Dang National Park around 4:00 PM, we were greeted by rain along the way (my heart was pounding, fearing that we wouldn't see any fog). However, upon arrival, the rain stopped and the fog welcomed us from 4:00 PM onwards. Wow, it was way beyond expectations!
The photo shows the thick fog in the parking lot. It's so beautiful, it makes my heart feel warm. <3
Excited about the fog, like I haven't felt in years. (I thought I was heartbroken when it first rained, but this is so much better.) The first fog I've felt in a year, it's just so much better.
This is a feeling that city dwellers have never experienced. (Because our country has 3 seasons... hot, very hot, and scorching hot) ;p
The annual arrival of winter demands an immediate search for the perfect camping spot!
This is clearly walking through a fog forest… If you're exposed to the sun every day and then encounter this, it's like heaven, I'm telling you. : )
Wow! The owners, Pang and King, chose an excellent spot for setting up the tents. The view of the mist was simply breathtaking. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy a barbecue, a cold beer, and stargazing.
This is our size L tent (on the left). At first, it looked good in the picture, but I didn't think it would be this big and good. :P
The tent exceeded expectations. It has two floors, with the upper floor accommodating 4-5 people and the lower floor providing a sleeping area divided into two sections. There is also a seating area or storage space in front of the bedroom. I highly recommend it.
Despite the high quality of the tent, which is windproof, waterproof, and imported from France (Quechua), the sound of snoring could not be blocked. (A dog was snoring loudly next to the tent before bedtime.)
The price is very reasonable, around a few hundred baht per person. However, the quality is guaranteed to impress you.
We went with 4 people, slept in Size L, which costs 2500 baht/night. When divided, it's only 625 baht per person. (Other sizes are also available, prices are listed below the review.)
If I were with friends, we would already be enjoying a few drinks. But since I'm with my mother, I'll just have some afternoon tea and a slice of Eurocustra cake.
The mother showed no signs of sleep, excited by the fog. The child had to be good for a bit, eating Oreos. The cycle continues. Alcohol, beer, and vices are off-limits for now.
The bed is very comfortable, not too hard, and you can sleep soundly on it. The sleeping bag-style blanket is also warm and can be unzipped to become a large blanket.
This M-sized tent is suitable for 2-3 people. It has a seating area in the front and a bed like a large tent.
After a short break, the weather became extremely cold. When everything started to get freezing, no one took a shower. 55555+ Because the water was too cold, it was unbearable. We believe that everyone must have felt the same way. >,<
This chair is borrowed. It's provided for those who want to sit and enjoy the view while taking pictures.
As night fell, rain began to pour, dear viewers. At first, I was worried about what would happen and whether I would have to move to the park rangers' central building. The rain showed no signs of stopping. But my worries were short-lived, and I soon fell asleep. zZZ A soft bed, a warm duvet, and a waterproof tent. Okay, sweet dreams.
Waking up at 6:30 am, we opened the tent to be greeted by a stunning sea of fog. It was truly breathtaking. After washing our faces and brushing our teeth, we went out to capture the incredible atmosphere with our cameras.
HisoNomad offers free hot water, coffee, Milo, and snacks in their central tent. Guests are also welcome to bring their own breakfast and enjoy it there. This is a convenient option that eliminates the need to bring heavy cooking equipment.
This is perfect for people who want the feeling of camping but don't know how to set up a tent and don't want to carry a heavy tent like us.
After driving for about 5 minutes from the campsite, we arrived at the Doi Kiew Lom viewpoint. The morning mist offered a breathtaking view. We highly recommend stopping here to capture the stunning scenery.
This tent camping experience was truly unforgettable. The atmosphere, the mist, the mountains, and the tent provided by #HisoNomad Camping Truck were all exceptional. Their service was outstanding, and I highly recommend trying it out. It's a unique experience unlike any other tent rental. The truck travels to various locations throughout the country, and it has been on the road for four months now. Each location is worth visiting, and the views are breathtaking!
The price is incredibly affordable, costing only a few hundred baht.
