There are many beautiful horse-drawn carriages.

Let's pay our respects at the **Wat Phra That Lampang Luang**, located in the Lampang Luang sub-district, Ko Kha district, Lampang province. This temple is the designated temple for those born in the year of the Ox, as its construction began and was completed in the year of the Ox. The temple's layout and components are meticulously arranged, creating a harmonious whole. The Buddhist sanctuary features the Phra That Lampang Luang as its centerpiece, accessible by a naga staircase leading to the entrance gate. Beyond the gate lies the Wihan Luang. To the north of the Phra That are the Wihan Nam Taem and Wihan Ton Kaeo. On the west side are the Wihan Lawor and the Ho Phra Phutthabat. To the south are the Wihan Phra Phutth and the Ubosot. All of these structures are enclosed by a wall on all four sides. The temple grounds are beautifully shaded by trees.

A flight of stairs leads up to the khor gate.

From the triple-gateway entrance, one ascends to the Royal Chapel.

The main stupa is a blend of Lanna and Sri Lankan styles, constructed from brick and mortar. It features a square base with three tiers of lotus moldings. The large stupa is covered with sheets of brass, intricately pierced with designs, known as "jongko" gold.

Exquisite.

The bullet holes are a testament to the fierce battle fought by Nan Tippy Chang against the Burmese invaders who aimed to seize control of Lamphang. Nan Tippy Chang's bravery secured victory, leading to his ascension as Phra Chao Tippy Jakkra Sulawat Ruesai Songkram, the ruler of Lamphang. This victory also established him as the progenitor of the Na Lamphang lineage, the seven lineages of Chiang Mai, and the lineage of Lamphun.
