What could be better than traveling during the week when there are fewer people around? No waiting in line at restaurants, no fighting for bus tickets, and the ability to truly relax and enjoy your vacation.

Pan is not saying that traveling during special holidays is irredeemably bad. If you're someone who dislikes chaos and prefers a more relaxed, unhurried pace like Pan, then we're on the same page.

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to visit Chiang Mai with four friends. We opted for a vacation rental in the city center, which comfortably accommodated our group and offered privacy. It felt like staying at a friend's house in the countryside. We traveled from Bangkok by tour bus and used Maps to locate Good Mood House upon arrival at the transport terminal. The 7 km journey took just over 10 minutes. We rented motorbikes to reach the accommodation, and the first thing that caught my eye was...

"Wow, they've installed artificial grass to form numbers on their house! It's so cute! =^o^= But wait, there's more! As Pan walked past the fence, she stumbled upon this at the front door…"

"Welcome, Pan & Friend"

A feeling of... well... why are they so attentive? It's a first impression that makes us secretly smile.

To be honest, my initial impression of Pan was that it was just an ordinary daily rental house with basic amenities. However, as I mentioned earlier, my first impression was "cute." It's an ordinary house that's not ordinary. Let me take you inside the house.

Good Mood Living Room

The living room is located at the front of the house and is the first thing you see when you enter. The furniture is primarily made of wooden pallets, including the sofa and bed. Soft cushions are placed on top of the wood for added comfort, and there are plenty of pillows to cuddle with. The coffee table next to the sofa is decorated with a plush toy.

Pan loves the clocks in this house very much. Although they may seem a bit difficult, if they are sold for their cuteness and stylishness, which are suitable for taking pictures, Pan would give them a perfect score of ten.

Good Mood Kitchen

If you're looking to cook up a party feast with friends or family, Goog Mood has all the kitchen equipment you need. From a variety of ingredients to rice cookers, ovens, and microwaves, this place is a haven for culinary enthusiasts. However, I mostly stuck to using plates, bowls, spoons, and forks, as the resident chef wasn't available on this trip. So, all I managed to whip up was some toast.

Did you know that every room at Good Mood has walls painted with cute designs? It feels like being in a kindergarten classroom. When we were kids, we didn't think much of the cartoon characters on the walls, but now that we're older, seeing them again brings back childhood memories.

Good Mood Bedroom

The Cosy Chaos of a Pallet Bed Getaway

This charming accommodation boasts two bedrooms, with the larger one featuring an ensuite bathroom. However, the reality is that the group playfully disregarded designated bathrooms, using whichever was most convenient. As mentioned earlier, the beds are constructed from wooden pallets, as pictured. The juxtaposition of the firm wood with the soft mattress, sheets, and blankets creates a surprisingly harmonious aesthetic. This unexpected combination, perhaps enhanced by the owner's choice of patterned bedsheets and strategically placed stuffed animals, evokes a sense of endearing disarray.

Be careful not to trip over the edge of the pallet like Pan did, or you'll end up with a painful foot injury.

A Garden for Good Moods

Let's go outside for a bit. Pan will take you on a tour of the garden around the house. At Good mood, there are 2 outdoor seating areas. The first one is right in front of the house, like a coffee corner. Pan thinks it's pretty, but she only sits there when she's putting on her shoes. She likes the other corner better. But speaking of, if you're staying here as a family, Pan thinks this corner would be your father's favorite spot in the morning. Sipping coffee, reading the newspaper, enjoying the good atmosphere. ^0^

If you've been following Pan for a while, you'll know that she's a huge fan of anything green, especially trees and grass. When she came across this garden, she absolutely fell in love with it. She says that no matter where she puts her daughter or son to take a picture, it looks beautiful. She loves it!

Favorite Corner!!!

At this point, there is an overwhelming urge to advertise because Pan and her friends have been eyeing this corner since they arrived at the house. It is a seat on the side of the house where we can open the door directly from the kitchen. Sitting in the morning, we can use it to sip coffee, and at night, we can change it to sip............... Hahahaha.

Good Mood Parking

There is parking space in front of the house, so if you are driving, you don't have to worry about finding a parking space. The gang can also use it to park 3 motorcycles. There is plenty of parking space.

The house is not only decorated in a minimalist Japanese style, but the bicycles provided for guests are also Japanese. There are four bicycles available for borrowing. In the mornings, Pan and her friends would ride the bikes for fun. Since Good Mood is located near the center of Chiang Mai, guests can easily ride their bikes to explore cafes and restaurants.

Don't forget to visit "Wat Chedi Yot" temple.

Moreover, since Good Mood is located in an alley next to Wat Chedi Luang, I had the opportunity to visit the temple and pay respects to the Buddha. This temple is significant for two reasons: it hosted the 8th World Buddhist Council and serves as the temple for those born in the year of the snake.

By Car

From Huay Kaew Road in front of Chiang Mai University, head straight into the city. At Rin Kham Intersection, turn left onto the Superhighway (Chiang Mai-Lampang). Drive on the frontage road for about 1 km. Wat Chet Yot will be on your left.

From the main road from Lamphang, head towards Chiang Mai on the Super Highway (Chiang Mai-Lamphang). Drive straight ahead and you will see the Jet Yod red light intersection on your right. Make a U-turn before the Rin Kham intersection to turn into the alley next to Wat Jet Yod. Continue straight ahead and at the three-way intersection, turn left.
