We're back with NTgoeseverywhere, and this time we're heading to Chiang Mai!

This trip started with reading reviews on Readme, haha.
Seeing everyone go to Mae Kampong made me want to go too.

Since it was a spontaneous trip and plane tickets were super expensive,
we decided to take the bus instead.

Let's not waste any more time and get started!

We started our journey withสมบัติทัวร์.

Booking was super easy, just go to their website and book your ticket.

This is what the booking looks like. Once you have booked, you can pay by bank transfer or at a counter service.

Let's start our journey.

December 14, 2017 (7:00 PM)

We arrived at Mo Chit 2 to take a bus to Chiang Mai. The bus we are taking today is a VIP bus fromสมบัติทัวร์.

First, let's exchange the receipt for a ticket.

The interior of the car is equipped with pillows, blankets, an electric massage chair, and a TV screen, providing a high level of comfort and convenience.

After a while, the staff will distribute water and snacks.

Halfway through the journey, the bus will stop for us to have lunch at Krua Ton Kampaeng, a restaurant owned by Sombut Tour.

A light rice porridge to fill our stomachs.

After eating, we got back on the bus and continued our journey. We watched a movie and then took a nap.

We arrived at the arcade at 5 am. It was very cold, around 16 degrees Celsius.

We then picked up the rental car at Star Avenue, near the arcade.

This is our little pony, lol.

After picking up the car, we went to get some breakfast.

Let's eat at 'Ko Pueak Ko Dam' restaurant.

The restaurant opens at 8 am, but we arrived at 7:30 am and had to wait. We were able to order food though.

The custard was delicious! We finished eating and left the restaurant around 8:10 am.

There was already a line! It was a good thing we arrived early.

Next, we went to Wat Umong.

Not far from Wat Umong, we went to have coffee at Asama Cafe.

It is a coffee shop located in a village, not difficult to find.

The Gravity Signature is a delicious coffee drink with espresso on top and thick cream on the bottom.

After that, we went into the city and walked around the Chiang Mai Museum of Art and Culture.

There are two ticket prices: 20 baht for access to two buildings and 40 baht for access to three buildings, including the Lanna Museum.

Next, we will travel to 'Uncle Dech's Tea Plantation',

located near Mae Taeng, about an hour and a half from the city center.

Upon arrival, we will check into our accommodation for the night, 'Bliss Homestay & Restaurant'.

It is located a short distance from Uncle Dech's Tea Plantation, just a 100-meter walk away.

Let me tell you, the accommodation is stunning, with only 3 units available.

The accommodation costs 1800 baht per night.

The view from the room is amazing, very relaxing.

After packing, we went to the tea plantation for lunch.

When we arrived at the tea plantation, we had to drink tea.

The menu is full of tea leaves. The crispy fried tea leaves are delicious.

After lunch, we gathered our strength and rested at our accommodation.

Day 2

We woke up early and took in the fresh morning air, breathing deeply as the cool mist filled our lungs.

Waking up to this makes me so happy!

After showering and packing our belongings, we went to take photos at the tea plantation.

If you want to see the sunrise, you should go to Mon Ngoen. However, we didn't go there.

The weather is fantastic.

This is Uncle Dech. He is very kind and is here to explain about tea to us.

This is the accommodation at Rai Cha.

After taking the photos, we went to settle the expenses with the accommodation.

Since the owner is Dutch, it happened to be just before Christmas when we went.

So they were in the middle of preparing for the Christmas festival, which was very cute.

Anyone interested in accommodation, please contact us.

We then traveled back to the city to eat Tong Tem Toh, a Chiang Mai signature dish.

The following is a translation of the provided text from Thai to English:

"Then we went to have coffee at Ristr8to."

Next, we headed to Mae Kampong.

On the way, we stopped by Tham Muang On Cave.

We had to buy tickets first, which cost 20 baht per person.

The legend of Tham Muang On tells of a naga residing in the cave. The naga ascended to Doi Tham Sila and observed the Buddha residing on the mountain. The naga transformed into a human and offered the Buddha fruits and wild honey. The Buddha accepted the offerings and bestowed a blessing upon the naga. Filled with joy, the naga requested a hair relic of the Buddha to be enshrined in the Phra That Nom Pha within the cave for people to pay homage and worship.

Upon reaching the top, visitors have the option to rent flashlights. The interior is dimly lit with occasional spotlights. The stairs are steep, but the air inside is pleasantly cool.

The interior features unseen dinosaur and lion fossils in the form of rocks. As you continue walking, you will encounter the legendary Phra That Nom Pha Man.

At the end of the walk, there are footprints said to belong to a naga serpent.

It was definitely worth the climb.

After exploring the cave, we headed to Mae Kampong. The road wasn't as challenging as we thought, but it was a bit difficult to drive.

The road was narrow and there were a lot of oncoming vehicles. Our little March car made it up in the end, though! 555555

Bedroom atmosphere

After packing our things, we went for a walk around the village.

We passed by Wat Kanthaphirom, a temple with a beautiful ordination hall in the middle of a stream. The atmosphere was very peaceful.

And we went for a walk. It was a Saturday, so there were quite a few people.

Take a break at Pail and Tu's shop.

We then returned to our accommodation to eat.

We had dinner by candlelight tonight.

After that, we rested to gather our strength to wake up and watch the sunrise at Kew Fin at 5:30 AM.

Day 3

We woke up to watch the sunrise.

We asked the accommodation to contact us for a round trip of 100 baht per person.

The air up here is very cold and windy, making us shiver even more. 5555

But when the sun rises, we forget all about the suffering from the cold.

This is the way up. At 5 am, it was so dark that I couldn't see the path. 555

The car that brought us here is recommended to go with the locals, the road is very rough.

Then we came back to eat rice porridge before going back together.

It's time to go back. We'll take the bus back from the arcade as usual. The bus leaves at 1:30 PM. Before we left, we stopped by the "Huen Muan Jai" restaurant.

This concludes my Chiang Mai trip for this year.

Don't forget to watch the video.
