Upon learning that the Black Turtle Waterfall in Kamphaeng Phet is accessible by car (4WD) almost all the way, I immediately decided to find a day to visit.

I managed to lure one member to join us, who was also a photographer, which made things a bit easier as we had someone to help take pictures. After checking the distance, which was approximately 500 km from Chonburi, we set off.

I set off from Chonburi at 4:00 AM and arrived in Nakhon Sawan just in time for breakfast. After grabbing a bite to eat and buying lunch, I continued my journey.

Following the GPS directions to Klong Wang Chao National Park, we arrived around 10 am.

The office area looks good, open and airy, very inviting to come and relax. There are tents from the park, spread out on bamboo platforms by the water. The atmosphere looks very good. The stream flows slowly, and there is a suspension bridge crossing the water.

It is interesting to note that one side of the river is in Kamphaeng Phet Province, while the other side is in Tak Province. This means that we can easily cross the provincial border by walking or wading through the water. However, the water is very cold.

"We took some photos, but it wasn't noon yet, so we decided to go eat at Khlong Wang Chao Waterfall."

Upon reaching the waterfall's parking lot, we walked no more than 300 meters before encountering a pavilion. My friend dubbed it the "Xiao Liu Xiang Pavilion" due to the vibrant foliage of the trees behind it, with bamboo stalks serving as a backdrop, creating a scene reminiscent of Chinese cinema.

We then hiked to the waterfall, searching for a long time before finally finding the Khlong Wang Chao Waterfall. The water was flowing powerfully, cascading down into a ravine. Swimming is prohibited in this area.

After finishing our meal, we set off for the Taodam Waterfall. The initial section of the road was paved and winding, narrowing from two lanes to one.

Once the paved road ends, we encounter a series of bridges constructed from halved tree trunks laid across the gap. Driving over these bridges can be nerve-wracking, but they become less daunting with familiarity. We must cross a total of five such bridges before reaching the Karen village of Kler Lu Ko.

Fortunately, there was no rain during my visit, so I didn't have to worry about getting stuck in the mud.

Upon reaching Ban Lo Ko, the journey becomes more comfortable as it marks the halfway point. However, the road conditions deteriorate significantly from this point onward due to a lack of maintenance. As you continue driving, you will pass through Hmong villages and witness fields and vegetable gardens lining both sides of the road.

The road is bumpy and challenging, especially after leaving the farm area. We will reach the Black Turtle Waterfall, covering a distance of 30 kilometers in a 2-hour journey. Every time, we wonder if there will be vegetable trucks passing by. We counted at least 10 trucks. If you plan to visit, please research the running times of the vehicles. According to the officials, most vehicles travel uphill in the morning and downhill in the afternoon.

From the campsite, there are 3 trails: one to the hot spring, which is about a kilometer away but requires a guide;

The upper waterfall is also like this.

The highlight of the top is the cliff. When you stand there, you will feel a little scared.

The final point is a descent to the waterfall below, a distance of only 300 meters via well-maintained concrete stairs with handrails. I counted approximately 745 steps, if my count is accurate.

The stairs are a bit steeper than usual.

Before reaching the bottom floor, there is a stopover point to admire the waterfall.

Upon reaching the lower level, the waterfall was significantly larger and taller than anticipated. However, the photographs do not adequately capture its grandeur.

The scenery is still beautiful and refreshing. It was worth the trip to Taodam Waterfall.

After taking photos and admiring the scenery, we had to climb back up the stairs we had just descended. Needless to say, it was quite tiring.

May I see the bathroom, please?

This concludes my review of the morning at the Turtle Black Waterfall campsite. Thank you all for watching.
