When it comes to traveling to Phetchaburi, the first place that comes to mind is the sea. Few people think of mist, mountains, green forests, and waterfalls. In this review, we, Bestie Wanderer will take you to another side of Phetchaburi that you may have never seen before... with Orchard Pa La-U Resort.

Review of Orchard Pa La-U

Coordinates: 233 Moo 2, Pa Daeng Subdistrict, Kaeng Krachan District, Phetchaburi 77110

( If traveling from Bangkok, take the bypass road and turn right at Wat Huai Mongkol intersection towards Pa La-u Waterfall. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes from Wat Huai Mongkol intersection. )

Nestled amidst the lush greenery of Pa La-u Forest, the location offers an immersive experience in nature's abundance and invigorating freshness.

Experience the morning mist, gently paddle through the backyard canal, savor the sweetness of freshly picked melons from the garden, collect eggs straight from the coop, relax in the water with a view of the garden, and immerse yourself in the true essence of nature.

The car arrived and parked in the parking lot. The staff drove a golf cart to help carry our belongings to the house. We walked through the lobby, where a long wooden bridge stretched across a canal. Both sides were lined with coconut trees, banana trees, and other lush vegetation. The atmosphere was serene and inviting from the moment we arrived.

The lobby and check-in area are decorated in a traditional Thai style, with high ceilings that create an airy and spacious feel. A gentle breeze provides a refreshing coolness.

Nestled amidst the lush greenery of the Pa La-U Wildlife Sanctuary, the Aucharat Pa La-U Resort boasts nine exquisitely crafted wooden villas. These rustic abodes seamlessly blend with the surrounding natural landscape, offering a tranquil retreat for nature enthusiasts.

There are two types of houses here:

The translation of "• บ้านพักหลังเล็ก สำหรับ 2 คน" is:

• Small house for 2 people.

• Large house (3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms) for 8 people.

This spacious house, named "Durian 02-1," offers a comfortable and convenient stay. The house is named after different durian varieties, and the interior features all the necessary amenities. The beds are plush and the air conditioning is cool. If needed, additional mattresses can be provided for a fee.

Let's begin our tour with the first room on the second floor, the largest room in the house.

The apartment features a balcony, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee and the fresh air.

The bathroom features both a shower and a large jacuzzi tub, comfortably accommodating two people for a relaxing soak.

The lower level of this house features two additional bedrooms, each comfortably accommodating three guests with dedicated beds. Each bedroom boasts its own private bathroom and shower for added convenience.

The backyard boasts a long canal stretching to the end of the resort, perfect for a leisurely paddle boat ride. Lush greenery and diverse flowers adorn both sides of the canal, creating a tranquil and picturesque setting.

Another highlight of this resort is the swimming pool, which is surrounded by a lush garden. The atmosphere is serene and refreshing, reminiscent of a northern Thai getaway. It's hard to believe that this oasis is located in Phetchaburi.

Relaxation area near the swimming pool

The durian orchard of the resort, which is located near the swimming pool and the villas, is a pity that we did not go during the durian season. We missed the opportunity to taste the famous durian of Pa La U.

In addition to durian, the resort also cultivates melons. If you visit during the season when the melons are ready for inscription, you can order them as unique gifts or souvenirs.

As mentioned earlier, the farm also raises laying hens. We were curious to see them and decided to try collecting eggs ourselves. It was a unique experience for us, and we were a little nervous about the hens pecking at us!

The evening ambiance by the pool, with the setting sun and the beautiful sky, is a sight to behold.

The resort's restaurant is located below the lobby. The food is reasonably priced, with dishes costing around 100-200 baht.

The resort's dinner menu offered a limited selection, but every dish we ordered was delicious. The sour curry with shrimp, acacia omelet, and egg was particularly flavorful, with a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and spicy notes. Highly recommended!

The evening atmosphere was filled with the chirping of cicadas and a gentle breeze, perfect for relaxing and chilling out. Most importantly, we hardly encountered any mosquitoes. It's clear that the management here has done an excellent job in controlling the mosquito population.

The resort offers a variety of breakfast options, including American Breakfast (sausage, ham, fried eggs, salad), fried rice, and rice porridge. Additionally, guests can enjoy toast, tea, coffee, and fruit juice throughout their stay.

Many people may be concerned about whether there are other attractions near the resort. Here it is: "Pa La-u Waterfall". It takes about 20 minutes to drive from the resort to Pa La-u Waterfall. You can follow the coordinates below: https://goo.gl/u7M7eM
