Due to a trip to Umphang, we unexpectedly had to make a stopover in Mae Sot. The van from Chiang Mai to Mae Sot arrived just as the last two-row car to Umphang had left, leaving us stranded.

The original text is in Thai and describes the author's frequent visits to Mae Sot, a town in Thailand. They express surprise at discovering stylish hostels in the area, despite their familiarity with the town.

Here's the translated text:

Despite frequent visits to Mae Sot, and several trips to the nearby Mae Sot district, I was surprised to discover that the area now boasts stylish hostels.

Discovering the newly opened Sleep Nest Hostel in 2016 was a stroke of luck.

This charming hostel offers a stylish and affordable accommodation option for backpackers, conveniently located in the heart of the city.

We hailed a motorcycle taxi from the bus station to the city center, heading straight here after calling to inquire about room rates and location. It didn't take long to arrive.

From the moment we saw it, we felt that this place was inviting and friendly.

The intricate decorations are so captivating that they make you want to explore every nook and cranny to see what treasures lie within. The adorable details are simply irresistible, and I couldn't help but share this hidden gem with my friends as a must-visit destination.

Unlike other hostels I've stayed in, where dorm beds are typically single beds, this one offers dorm rooms with double beds for two people.

The limited number of rooms restricts the number of guests that can be accommodated.

The advantage is that we won't encounter large crowds of tourists. However, the disadvantage is that the floor is made of wood, which doesn't absorb sound very well. Every time we walk or drop something, we worry about disturbing our dorm mates in the next room.

However, with prices per night as low as 200 and 350 baht, what we receive is more than worth the minor inconveniences.

The room is equipped with a power outlet, a small trash can, and a lamp. A convenient feature is the locker at the head of the bed for storing belongings. Additionally, if the air conditioning is insufficient with the curtains closed, a fan can be borrowed and used.

Let's take a look at the bathroom and common area.

The separate male and female restrooms feature exposed concrete and brick walls, creating an artistic and industrial aesthetic.

The common area includes both indoor spaces for reading, watching TV, or working quietly.

The following is a translation of the provided text from Thai to English, maintaining a simple and concise tone:

"Or perhaps an outdoor space for chilling out, socializing, and meeting new people."

Initially, we arrived out of necessity. However, after venturing out to explore the nearby town of Puerto Llosa, we found ourselves drawn back to this haven for one final night before bidding farewell to the province of Tak.

Sleep Nest Hostel offers more than just a cozy haven for weary travelers like us. They provide bicycle rentals, tour programs, and a detailed map of Tak city, complete with travel information, making it a haven for any wandering bird.

Quiet, clean, great location, good price, good service. What reason is there not to recommend it and come back to stay here again?

If you have the opportunity to visit Tak and are looking for accommodation in the city center, with easy and convenient access, don't forget that this small, warm nest is also an option.
