The First Time in the Pink Mist District

Khun Chang Kian

First draft!

...Hello, this is my first time writing a review. Alright! Without further ado, let's get started, haha!

The longest drive of my life!

This trip was unplanned, as I found out I had a sudden 4-day break (including Saturday and Sunday). A friend invited me to go to Chiang Mai, and I didn't hesitate to say yes! (What was I thinking at that time? Haha) We started by driving from Loei to Chiang Mai, a distance of over 480 kilometers, which took us over 9 hours. And it was during a time when the temperature was dropping again. Wow! What a coincidence!

Let's go!

After waking up in the morning from the accommodation near the back of Chiang Mai University, I started my journey to Khun Chang Kian, which is located on Doi Suthep.

The journey was incredibly enjoyable. As the car ascended, the mist gradually enveloped the surroundings, becoming increasingly dense. The thick fog necessitated caution when navigating curves, as oncoming vehicles were barely visible. The constant sound of horns served as a warning, as the whiteout conditions made visibility almost impossible. The temperature of 12 degrees Celsius, combined with the thick fog, left me thoroughly soaked and chilled. (My eyelashes were adorned with droplets of water, a testament to the pervasive mist.)

Unable to resist the allure of the dense fog, I captured this breathtaking scene.

The thick fog made it impossible to see anything, which made me a little sad.

As I walked along, I saw something moving in the distance. I couldn't help but wonder what it was. I have to admit, I was a little scared (haha).

Upon closer inspection, we discovered a large group of scouts. However, they were from a school in the Khun Chang Kian area. We were relieved for a moment (the children looked really strong!).

Wow...

Yay! We've arrived at Khun Chang Kian.

I thought I wouldn't be able to see the beauty of Thai cherry blossoms (Tiger Flower). It was amazing and I was so happy that I forgot all my tiredness. It was like a dream. I rushed down to take pictures.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, everything is beautiful.

Children are also here, so I'll take a sneaky picture. Haha.

As I walked down, I came across the pink road (a popular term), which was so beautiful that I couldn't help but include myself in the frame. Haha.

"Having a blast taking photos with my fellow travel blogger, haha!"

Ultimately...

"It was a trip full of new experiences, pushing me beyond my limits. This is why I consider it the best trip of the year. Even though it was tiring, it was totally worth it."

"Khun Chang Kian, the pink mist zone"

I have to thank my travel companions.

Thank you for dragging me along.

Thank you for enduring the fatigue and cold together.

And lastly... thank you loneliness for leading me to discover such beauty.
