Boiling Spring, Pa Pae

The Boiling Spring, Pa Pae, is located in Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai Province, approximately 40 kilometers from Chiang Mai city. To reach the spring, take the Chiang Mai-Mae Malai-Pai route for about 35 kilometers. At approximately kilometer 42, turn right and continue for another 6.5 kilometers on an asphalt road.

The Boiling Spring is a perfect destination for a relaxing soak in the hot springs, especially during the cooler months.

Upon reaching the boiling spring, we paid the park entrance fee and proceeded to soak in the mineral-rich waters.

This location offers eight bungalows for rent at 3,000 baht per night. Tents are also available for rent. Additionally, there is a hot spring bath service available for adults at 20 baht and children at 10 baht.

The hot spring is divided into two sections: a foot bath and a soaking pool. There are approximately three foot baths with comfortably warm water.

This pool is for soaking. The water is scorching hot! We can't handle it. 555.

There is a private dipping pool with comfortably cool water. It is recommended to soak for no more than 20 minutes.

This private pool is perfect for a relaxing soak.

There is a nature trail for studying nature.

After soaking in the hot springs, take a walk and admire the geysers and boil eggs in the lower zone.

Continuing on, you will come across a pool where eggs are boiled. (Eggs can be purchased from the villagers' houses near the park entrance.)


After walking approximately 300 meters, you will encounter the boiling mud pool.

The natural environment is beautiful, and the forests remain lush and abundant.

This hot spring exhibits geyser-type activity, characterized by intermittent eruptions of water from the ground surface, reaching a height of approximately 1 meter. Notably, the hot spring water possesses therapeutic properties, particularly for alleviating joint pain.

Continue to Huai Nam Dang, which is not far from Pong Deur. Drive up the Pai route for about 29 kilometers to reach Huai Nam Dang. Huai Nam Dang National Park is located on a long mountain range parallel to the north-south of the Daen Lao Range, Thanon Thongchai Range, and Phi Pan Nam Range. The mountains are complex and beautiful, with the highest peak reaching almost two thousand meters above sea level. Go up to the Doi Kiew Lom viewpoint.

The wind is strong and the air is cool at the top. If you come early in the morning, you might see a beautiful sea of fog.
