Larn Le Homestay: Accommodation near tourist attractions in Krabi Province

I recently went on a backpacking trip to Krabi, Thailand, on a budget. I wanted to experience the beauty of the area without breaking the bank. I found the perfect place to stay: Lan Le Homestay. It was affordable and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Let me share my trip itinerary to give you some ideas for your own budget-friendly adventure in southern Thailand.

Upon checking in, the homestay owner was taking a picture with a customer, so I discreetly snapped a photo.

Day 1: Journey to Paradise

Our journey began at Don Mueang Airport, where we boarded a flight to Krabi. Upon arrival, a short 50-minute drive whisked us away to our homestay, conveniently located just 5 minutes from the pier. This strategic location served as our gateway to the world-renowned tourist destinations of Koh Hong and James Bond Island.

Before embarking on our exploration, allow me to shed light on our accommodation.

The exterior of the house is a standalone structure with surrounding areas that truly evoke a provincial atmosphere. The vintage style is truly outstanding.

The Lan Le Homestay is decorated in a way that makes guests feel right at home. While some of the furniture may resemble what you might find in a hotel, other pieces evoke the feeling of visiting relatives in the countryside during a long holiday weekend.

This image is borrowed from the homestay owner because my own photo is blurry and not aesthetically pleasing. The vintage decor is evident, creating a truly delightful atmosphere.

This place offers a variety of room options to cater to different needs. Solo travelers seeking solitude and quiet can opt for single rooms, while families can choose rooms that accommodate parents and children, offering a lively and fun atmosphere. Additionally, rooms with floor mattresses are available for guests with small children.

This bed is perfect for people with small children, as there is no risk of them falling out. It is just a mattress on the floor. (I borrowed this picture to show you all the angles.)

There are rooms for couples, rooms for groups, and everything in between. Importantly, all rooms have private bathrooms, not shared ones. Otherwise, the nights could be rough.

This room can accommodate 2 people and is perfect for couples.

This is only for double beds. Mother and child sleeping on this type of bed is suitable. (I borrowed it from someone else.)

Note: For those who are concerned about where to eat while staying at Lanlay Homestay, there is a restaurant on site that can cater to all tastes. The food is guaranteed to be delicious, but if you're in the South, you must try the local southern cuisine.

A must-visit photo spot.

The resort is located near Lanley Homestay in Loei. It is a peaceful and natural place, and it is also close to many tourist attractions. It takes less than an hour to travel to the first attraction, the Hot Waterfall. The water is not actually hot, but it is relaxing to soak in. The temperature is around 41 degrees Celsius. However, it can get crowded during peak season, as the place is not very big.

Emerald Pool, truly emerald green water.

Krabi boasts stunning natural beauty and pristine beaches, making it a popular tourist destination. Beyond its renowned beaches, Krabi offers a plethora of attractions, including waterfalls, the Emerald Pool, and much more. A trip to Krabi promises a comprehensive and unforgettable travel experience.

This area hosts a mud festival at the Le Home Stay resort, which is a popular attraction for foreign tourists who enjoy natural skin treatments. Additionally, affordable travel packages are available, including accommodation and delicious meals.

This mud work is beautifully natural.

For those who have never visited Krabi, Lanlay Homestay offers more than just accommodation; it provides a comprehensive range of services.

Only 1900 baht for accommodation, food, and sightseeing. Contact Rin Krabi at 0817374477. Limited to 10 people per tour, ensuring a fun and uncrowded experience. Immerse yourself in the true beauty of nature and savor authentic Southern Thai cuisine.

The first day includes a canoeing package to Tham Lod, Tham Phi Hua To, and the inland sea, followed by a visit to Wat Laem Sak's pagoda for panoramic views of the Laem Sak sea. In the evening, enjoy local seafood and an overnight stay.

Paddling a canoe through the cave was incredibly fun.

On the second day, we continued to Bamboo Island, where the water was crystal clear and the sand was incredibly soft under our feet. Visitors are required to remove their shoes upon arrival. The sea displayed a mesmerizing gradient of colors, reflecting its varying depths.

If you're interested in trying out snorkeling, Ao Ley is a great place to start. This popular spot attracts many tourists who come to admire the coral reefs. Snorkeling equipment is included in your package, allowing you to witness the beauty of the coral and the diverse fish that inhabit the area. However, it's important to note that the water here is relatively deep and there isn't much of a sandy beach, making it suitable primarily for snorkeling enthusiasts.

The next bay is Ao Ma Yha, which boasts crystal-clear waters rivaling those of Ao Bamboo. However, the water here takes on a more greenish hue due to the lush natural surroundings and stunning mountainous backdrop. After a day of exploration, it's time to indulge in a delicious meal. Ao Ton Sai offers a serene atmosphere, making it a popular dining destination. The relatively deep water, marked by safety ropes, limits swimming, resulting in a less crowded environment. This allows for a peaceful dining experience with breathtaking views.

After lunch at Ao Maya Bay, we will return to Phi Phi Island. This island is famous in Krabi, and many people would know it. We went to Monkey Beach, which, as the name suggests, is sure to have monkeys. But I couldn't believe there would be so many. Readers, you have to come and see for yourselves. It's a lot of fun. I suspect these monkeys have been on this island for a long time. They can even swim.

It's time to go home. We can say that we have traveled to the fullest, enjoyed delicious food, with various packages from Lanlay Homestay, which has up to 12 packages. It's very worthwhile. If you want to travel to the southern sea during this time, I recommend this place.
