Today, we will take you to a special place in Loei Province.
A tourist city with abundant natural beauty.
A must-visit city amidst the mist,
surrounded by mountains and along the Mekong River.
8 Must-Visit Destinations: Let's Go Together!
Here we go!
1. Mountain 🗻
Experience the extreme cold in the coldest land of Siam, Phu Ruea National Park.
The scene before us is one of towering mountains, their peaks intricately interwoven and stretching into the distance. The morning mist gently drifts and swirls around them, creating an ethereal atmosphere.
Tourists flocked to the top of Phu Ruea to witness the breathtaking sunrise.
A popular highlight for tourists to admire the beautiful scenery.
Waiting until the sun rises, casting its warm and illuminating light.
The garden features beautiful winter flowers, offering visitors a chance to admire and capture their beauty in photographs.
The weather is cold and windy almost all year round.
Tourists should bring warm clothing to keep their bodies warm.
2. Mount Kradeng 🍁
A renowned tourist destination in Loei province, ranking among the top 5 in Thailand.
Blessed with an abundance of forests, cliffs, grasslands, flora, fauna, streams, and waterfalls.
"Once in a lifetime, we are the conquerors of Phu Kradueng," a legendary phrase that has been passed down for generations.
Only after experiencing it myself did I truly understand the meaning of this sentence.
Those who aspire to be among the conquerors, follow us...
Plan a simple 3-day, 2-night trip to cover almost all the highlights of Phu Kradueng National Park.
Day 1: Travel day and physical preparation. We will embark on a 5.5 km hike to conquer the summit.
If we are tired... let's walk into the forest. It might make us even more tired, haha. For hikers, this might be too basic. Coming back, our leg muscles will be sore. We will have to fight through the forest, carrying our heavy bodies, walking uphill. Let me tell you, this is no joke.
No matter how tired we are, we are not afraid. Despite the steep distance, there is still food for us to try at every corner.
Step by step, the path unfolds, with both gentle slopes and steep inclines.
A grueling staircase leading to the back of the temple. Oh my god, it's so steep!
For those who know they can't make it, don't push yourself. Hire a porter to carry you up and enjoy a worry-free, long sleep on Koh Yao.
This place is also known as a place to prove true love.
Those who have a lover, try to prove it. Will he let us walk behind him or will he hold our hand and walk together?
It took us almost until dusk to reach the Wankwang Tourist Center or the tent camping area.
Upon arrival, report to the staff and proceed to find your designated tent.
Shabu and grilled pork can heal and relieve our fatigue (really?) 555555555
Whether it was the deliciousness of the meal or the pangs of hunger, the shared experience of eating together made it all the more enjoyable.
As night falls, the graceful young deer emerges, captivating tourists with its beauty and offering opportunities for stunning photographs.
The second day's activity on Phu Kradueng is to hike around this heart-shaped mountain.
Point 1: Pha Nok Aen
Around 5:00 AM, an announcement will be made by the staff to wake you up to watch the sunrise at the Nakaen Cliff.
Located just 2 km from Wang Kwang Center, they walked together in groups.
The path was pitch black, illuminated only by the flashlight I carried.
Tourists gathered to find the perfect spot to set up their cameras and capture the sunrise together.
The beauty of the journey can be found at any moment along the way.
The friendships we forge along the way are of great importance. We get to know each other, we talk to each other, we inquire about each other's well-being, and we offer each other encouragement.
These are the key factors that motivate us to keep moving forward.
Point 2: The Buddha's Compassion
On the way back to the tent, we will pass the Phra Phutthametta Buddha statue. Let's stop by to pray for a smooth journey.
We returned to the tourist center. For breakfast, we each had a bowl of porridge, but I'm not sure if it will be enough to keep us going.
We packed lunch to eat on the way.
Point 3: Lan Phra Srinakarin
Our journey begins with... paying respects to the Buddha statue for safe travels throughout the day.
Today, we will be cycling a marathon, covering a total distance of 9 km.
Point 4: Waterfall Trail
This trail may lead us to encounter small streams along the way, surrounded by lush rainforests. There are numerous waterfalls where we can stop and cool off, such as Wang Kwang Waterfall, Phet Phon Phop Waterfall, Phon Phon Waterfall, Phet Phon Waterfall, Tham Yai Waterfall, etc. Moreover, if we visit during the late rainy season or early winter, we will be able to witness maple trees with bright red leaves, with fallen leaves scattered throughout the area. It would be an unforgettable experience.
Point 5: Saraphon Arnonta
A verdant oasis amidst the rugged landscape: A translation from Thai to English
Nestled amidst the breathtaking scenery of Phu Kradueng National Park, we found ourselves at a tranquil haven for a midday respite. The landscape unfolded before us, revealing a picturesque pool of water resembling a serene lagoon. Crystal-clear streams meandered through the rocky crevices, while towering pine trees stood sentinel, casting long shadows across the water's surface. This idyllic setting serves as a vital source of hydration for the diverse wildlife that calls Phu Kradueng home.
Point 6: Pha Hiep Cloud Cliff
The cycling route from Sa-Ano-Da Lake to Pha-Hiep-Mek Cloud Cliff is no easy feat. The entire path is covered in mud and puddles, making it slippery and challenging to navigate. Please exercise caution and control your bicycle carefully. If you find it too difficult, don't hesitate to push your bike.
And then we cycled to Pha Hieap Meng, the view was so breathtaking that it made all the fatigue disappear. It was so high that we could literally step on the clouds.
Point 7: Pha Daeng
A short distance from the Pha Hieap Meng cliff, there is a smaller, less wide cliff. It's a great place to stop and rest while enjoying the view.
Point 8: Pha Lom Sak
This is a key highlight on Phu Kradueng. Anyone who doesn't reach this point hasn't truly experienced Phu Kradueng. Don't miss it!
Tourists enjoy taking photos on the rocky outcrop that juts out from the cliff face.
The composition features a long line of beautifully arranged pine trees, their branches extending outwards.
Some waited to watch the sunset until the sun dipped below the horizon, creating another beautiful sunset in Thailand.
On the way back, there will be staff members leading the group back on bicycles. The staff will distribute lights to be worn on the head for illumination.
The experience was incredibly thrilling, with constant suspense as we navigated the dimly lit path. Our friend in front would shout directions to those behind, creating a chain of communication.
Throughout the return journey, there were moments of anticipation and excitement. As we cycled, we would occasionally glance up at the sky, wondering what lay ahead.
Millions of stars, within arm's reach, filling our vision. An unforgettable memory etched in our minds.
Phu Kradueng National Park is open from October to the end of May each year. Similarly, ...
From June to the end of September, Phu Kradueng National Park will be closed for forest restoration.
To preserve its beauty for future generations to experience the essence of Phu Kradueng.
Before leaving, we stopped to take a picture with this prestigious sign: "Once in a lifetime...we are the conquerors of Phu Kradueng".
No couple photos? You might as well not have come!
We can do it… you can do it too.
3. Phulomlo 🌸
Another popular spot to admire the beauty of the Wild Himalayan Cherry blossoms, without having to travel all the way to Chiang Mai.
Located within the Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park, at the junction of three provinces: Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, and Loei.
Tourists flocked to the area, eager to experience the cold weather and witness the first light of dawn together.
At this moment, the entire valley has transformed into a vibrant pink, stretching as far as the eye can see, covering an area of over 1,200 rai.
It is also the largest tiger lily viewing site in Thailand.
The tiger lily blooms in unison during the winter season, lasting until early February.
The flower is so beautiful. Oh, is it this sweet pink color?
It is advisable to wear warm clothing and a dust mask, as the area is prone to dust.
As shown in the picture, the dust is very thick. I have warned you!

Note: The original text is in Thai. I have translated it to English and provided a description of the image.
Have you ever seen the morning mist in Loei, the paradise of Thailand?
Where did you acquire this enchanting mist? Its beauty surpasses even the most exquisite paintings.
A breathtaking view stretches as far as the eye can see, soft and gentle like cotton, inviting you to lie down and immerse yourself in its serenity.
Looking down at the ground below, I wonder if this is heaven... Tell me, my friend.
The place will be crowded during the festival, so expect longer queues for the shared taxis.
The lower area offers a wide variety of food and souvenirs for purchase.
5. Coconut milk rice porridge
Also known as "Dog Reservoir," it is a natural tourist attraction.
Amidst the mountainous landscape and expansive reservoir,
Most tourists enjoy engaging in the following activities upon arrival:
Relax, raft, swim, eat, take pictures and capture the beautiful scenery around.
Shady and cool breeze, perfect for escaping the heat.
A wide variety of delicious dishes, served in a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere. A truly delightful experience.
6. Keng Kud Koo
A natural beauty-filled resort with a backdrop that serves as a key element.
The breathtaking scenery of this place is due to a giant mountain called "Phu Kwai Ngern".
The best time to visit Kaeng Kud Ku is during the dry season when the Mekong River recedes, revealing the islands and rapids.
And a large white sand beach, dotted with round stones, lined the entire area.
The area surrounding Kaeng Kut Ku will be filled with vendors selling food.
To cater to tourists who enjoy dining and immersing themselves in the Mekong River's ambiance.
Before leaving, don't forget to buy the famous "Candied Coconut" of Kaeng Kud Khu. It comes in both dried and fresh varieties, each with its own unique flavor.
- Chiang Khan
A small town on the banks of the Mekong River, a popular leisure destination, ranked among the top in Loei Province.
There are numerous homestays near the walking street, allowing you to experience the way of life and culture of this small town.
Early in the morning, a thin mist hangs over the Mekong River, blending with the distant mountains, creating a picturesque scene like a painting.
Chiang Khan is a great destination to visit any time of year, but it is especially lively during the winter season.
A popular morning activity is sticky rice offering, a long-standing tradition.
A must-try breakfast spot in Chiang Khan, "Luk Phochana" is a local favorite.
Order now, everything is truly delicious, I confirm!
Moreover, Chiang Khan is a district that has gained fame from several films, including those that have been screened in cinemas.
The story of Tuk Ga's deep love for Paeng led him to the actual location.
Lined with centuries-old wooden houses built close together along the Mekong River.
This captivating charm continues to be a hallmark of Chiang Khan, attracting a steady stream of tourists eager to experience its allure.
The atmosphere by the Mekong River in the evening is perfect for photography. The light is different from the morning, creating a unique and beautiful ambiance.
In the evening, take a stroll and enjoy a variety of delicious food. The shop offers a wide selection of souvenirs and gifts.
If I had to visit every single shop, I would probably end up rolling instead of walking. 😂
Deep-Fried Dough Sticks with Filling (Uncle Muk's) - A Must-Try Delicious Treat
Additionally, there were performances by adorable children playing music to earn extra income.
We visited during a concert event in Loei province, which lasted for two nights and three days, featuring exciting performances, music, and laughter.
The experience was so exhilarating that we couldn't help but jump for joy. Visiting Muang Loei truly allowed us to savor every flavor imaginable, making the trip absolutely worthwhile.
8. Wat Neramit Vipassana Monastery
Tourists visiting Dan Sai should not miss the opportunity to pay respects and visit
A temple with unique architecture that sets it apart from other temples.
The Power of Words: A Journey Through Translation
The act of translation transcends the mere conversion of words from one language to another. It is a delicate dance between cultures, a bridge connecting diverse perspectives, and a catalyst for understanding. As a journalist translator, I am entrusted with the responsibility of conveying the essence of a message, preserving its nuances and subtleties, while ensuring its accessibility to a new audience.
My role extends beyond simply finding the equivalent words in another language. It involves delving into the cultural context, understanding the author's intent, and capturing the emotional undertones. It is a process that demands meticulous attention to detail, a deep appreciation for language, and a commitment to accuracy.
In this journey of translation, I strive to remain faithful to the original text while adapting it to the target language's conventions and idioms. I am mindful of the potential pitfalls of literal translation, recognizing that it can often lead to awkward phrasing and a loss of meaning. Instead, I prioritize conveying the spirit of the message, ensuring that the translated text resonates with the target audience.
As a journalist translator, I am acutely aware of the power of words to shape perceptions and influence opinions. I recognize the responsibility that comes with this power and strive to use it ethically and responsibly. I am committed to providing accurate and unbiased translations, free from personal biases or agendas.
My journey through translation is a continuous process of learning and refinement. I am constantly seeking to expand my knowledge, improve my skills, and deepen my understanding of the intricate relationship between language and culture. It is a journey that I undertake with passion and dedication, knowing that each translation is an opportunity to bridge the gap between cultures and foster understanding.
The ubosot and chedi within the temple are constructed entirely of laterite.
Situated on a hill, just a short distance from the Phra That Si Song Rak.
