In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the cafe boasts exceptional coffee. Coffee enthusiasts should try the Monochrome, a charcoal-infused coffee with a striking appearance and exceptional flavor. Another favorite is the Sompetch, a delightful blend of espresso, cocoa, and orange.

This bakery is arguably the best in Chiang Mai. Everything from the carrot cake, canelé, bagels, green tea muffins, and cheesecake to the coffee is delicious, and incredibly so. The atmosphere, reminiscent of Japan, further enhances the enjoyment of the pastries. This is a must-visit spot whenever I'm in Chiang Mai.

This charming shop, reminiscent of a Japanese haven, offers a unique blend of cuteness and sophistication. Its interior boasts a captivating display of classic film cameras, inviting photography enthusiasts to indulge in the art of film photography. The shop also provides film developing services, ensuring that your precious memories are preserved. Additionally, a rotating gallery showcases a diverse range of artistic expressions, adding to the shop's allure.
The cafe's interior evokes a sense of visiting a friend's home in Japan. The warm tones of wood and white walls create a welcoming atmosphere. Our favorite spot is by the large window, which immediately caught our eye.

As we were already quite full before arriving at this shop, we opted for lighter beverages: strawberry water and pandan leaf tea. Both were excellent choices. The coffee menu also looked very appealing, so if any of you visit this shop, be sure to give it a try!

9. The Laboratory Hotel & Across The Universe Cafe
A Laboratory of Delights: A Unique Hostel-Café Experience
This establishment transcends the boundaries of a typical hostel and café, incorporating a captivating gallery element at its entrance. Stepping inside, one enters a realm akin to a scientific laboratory, adorned with skeletons, test tubes, and anatomical models of the human form. While the initial impression might evoke a sense of the macabre, the overall ambiance is surprisingly delightful. The meticulous attention to detail and abundance of props create an immersive experience, leaving visitors unsure of which corner to capture first. Despite the captivating atmosphere, the food and beverage offerings fall short of the thematic brilliance. Infusing the menu with the same conceptual flair as the décor would elevate the experience to even greater heights.

10. Thunder Bird Hostel, Chiang Mai
This space serves as both a hostel and a cafe. The entrance is deceptively small, leading to a surprisingly spacious interior. We were particularly impressed by the cafe's offerings, which are owned by the same company as the Organic Supply cafe in Bangkok. The healthy and delicious snacks are a must-try, and the quality is on par with the Bangkok location. We highly recommend this establishment.

The highlight of this shop is the "Pa Thong Ko" (deep-fried dough sticks) shaped into various animals, including dinosaurs, elephants, crocodiles, and dragons. They are incredibly adorable, making the long wait in line worthwhile. It is highly recommended to arrive early as the queue can get very long.
