Today, I will take you on a journey to the residence of the royal envoy, or the home of Constantine Phaulkon and Thao Thongkhip Ma (Mae Malai) in the city of Lopburi, Lopburi Province.

👉 The "Ban Vichan Yuen" house still holds stories and traces of the past for us to study. This house was built during the reign of King Narai to welcome the French embassy. Therefore, this place is called "Ban Luang Rap Ratchaduat" (House for Welcoming Ambassadors). It was also featured in a scene from the drama "Bupphesanniwat" when Mae Kaewklao visited Mae Malai at her residence.

👉 Judging from the ruins, it is evident that this house was once very spacious, making it an exceptionally large dwelling for the Ayutthaya period.

📍 Located on Wichayen Road
⏰ Open daily from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
💵 Admission fee 10 baht per person

Upon entering the central gate, one encounters the bell tower and the church.

On the far right side of the eastern bank of the Chao Phraya River stands a grand two-story building, serving as the residence for the French diplomatic mission.

The left side is the kitchen of Thao Thong Khip Ma, and the right side is the chapel.

The church has three entrances and exits.

The west side of the river will be the residence of Mr. Falcon, or Okya Wichayen.

Will the Falcon Residence have a basement for storage or wine cellar?

The kitchen of Thao Thong Khip Ma on the left side will be a very large oven.
