To celebrate the arrival of the new internationally renowned Japanese chef, Chef Yukio Takeda, at Nami Teppanyaki Steakhouse at the JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok, Chef Takeda has personally created new menus using premium ingredients imported from Japan and his own special sauces. In this review, we will have the opportunity to taste the latest menu items and see what they look and taste like. Let's enjoy the meal together.
The atmosphere is elegant, luxurious, beautiful, bright, and spacious, with hot pans at every point and private rooms available.
‘Tsu style Japanese salad with white sesame dressing’
Fresh, clean, crisp vegetables, shredded into bite-sized pieces for easy eating, drizzled with a fragrant white sesame dressing that offers a familiar sweet and sour tang.
One intriguing aspect is the burdock root sprinkled on the salad, which has been prepared to achieve a chewy texture and a subtle, intriguing aroma.
The next menu is neatly wrapped.
Cooked to order
Shrimp, corn tortilla, avocado-lime salsa
The dough is thin and crispy, followed by a chewy and soft texture. The filling is packed with various ingredients, including chunks of shrimp and corn. The seasoning is well-balanced, and the creamy sauce adds a rich and savory flavor.
'Tuna salad with sweet onion dressing'
Distinguished by its vibrant color and large, thick, satisfying pieces, the tuna boasts a delicious sesame-coated skin. Paired with thick avocado slices, the dish delivers an extra creamy and smooth texture. The rich and well-balanced onion dressing adds a refreshing touch, making for a truly delightful experience. If you're a fan of sesame, this is a must-try.
Although it is called "Baked tuna," it is only baked on the surface, and the inside remains soft and moist.
The main course of this review features A5 Miyazaki beef.
The chef used sliced meat to wrap the offal in a yuzusaké style.
It cooks quickly and smells amazing.
Miyazaki A5 sirloin, thinly sliced Usuyaki style (100g) with wagyu sauce.
Cut into bite-sized pieces, the dish features tender, juicy meat and a flavorful filling packed with various ingredients, seasoned to perfection to enhance the natural flavors of the ingredients.
Therefore, it is essential to pair the dish with the specially prepared Wagyu sauce, which boasts a rich aroma and distinct beef flavor. The sauce's balanced sweet and savory notes perfectly complement the meat.
Followed by fried rice
‘Japanese wagyu spice curry fried rice’
This dish features tender, flavorful Japanese wagyu beef atop perfectly dry-fried rice. The rice boasts a rich, well-balanced curry spice aroma and flavor, making for a truly delicious experience. Highly recommended.
The meal concludes with a sweet treat: red bean-filled mochi.
which also need to be cooked on a hot pan.
Homemade yomogi mochi
Japanese mugwort mochi with a light and crispy skin and a soft and chewy texture. The filling is made of smooth red bean paste with a rich flavor that is not too sweet and easy to eat.
What particularly impressed me about this dish was the mochi, which was cooked on a hot griddle that had been used for savory dishes earlier. However, the chef had cleaned the griddle so thoroughly that there was not a trace of food odor on the mochi.
The new menu by Chef Yukio Takeda, the new head chef of Nami Teppanyaki Steakhouse at the JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok, offers a unique opportunity to experience the finest Japanese ingredients. Chef Takeda's meticulous attention to detail is evident in his innovative combinations of ingredients, flavorful seasonings, and vibrant sauces, all tailored to complement Thailand's climate. This dedication to creating a memorable and delicious dining experience is a testament to Chef Takeda's extensive culinary expertise.
Thank you very much.
