This trip had destinations near Bangkok, namely Prachin Buri and Nakhon Nayok provinces. After visiting a restaurant in Chachoengsao province in the previous post, this time we will talk about the accommodation we chose in Prachin Buri, as well as another delicious restaurant. Let's see what it's like to travel to Prachin Buri during the hot season in April! P.S. This article is not sponsored.
The hotel we stayed at is called Thawarawadi Resort. You can see the location from the link below.
This hotel is massive, with sprawling grounds. However, the campervans we'll be staying in are located separately from the main hotel building, near a residential area. This provides a high level of privacy, almost to the point of being eerily quiet. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature and overlooking the water, this is the perfect spot. However, if you're prone to loneliness, you might not enjoy the isolation.
The entrance road alone is a testament to the lush greenery that awaits.
Do you see the RV? We'll be sleeping here tonight.
The ambiance is excellent, with a direct view of the pool and a secluded setting. The view of the hotel building on the opposite side is breathtaking. Let's take a closer look at the photos.
After a satisfying meal and a restful night's sleep, we enjoyed a breakfast buffet at the hotel, offering a wide variety of options. We then took a leisurely stroll around the area, capturing some scenic photographs.
Summary of the experience at the caravan park:
- Price: 3,500 baht/night, including breakfast for 2 and a BBQ set for dinner. Tax invoice available for tax deduction under the "Secondary Cities Tourism Policy."
- Amenities: Well-equipped with kitchenware, microwave, oven, refrigerator, TV, and more.
- Bathroom: Separate toilet and shower with hot water. However, the toilet has a strong odor (possibly from the pipes). Air freshener was used but didn't help much. This issue has been reported to the staff, who acknowledged the problem and are working on a solution. The odor is not noticeable if the toilet door is kept closed.
- Surroundings: Excellent atmosphere, close to a pond and surrounded by trees. The lawn is well-maintained and not overgrown. The area is quiet and private, but not isolated. People can be seen jogging around the pool, and lights are turned on around the house at night, making it feel safe.
- Capacity: Only one caravan available. Not suitable for large groups.
We then continued our journey to Nakhon Nayok. Along the way, we stopped for lunch at "Baan Rim Nam" restaurant. We were impressed by the delicious food, generous portions, and affordable prices. The riverside setting was also a highlight. Next, we visited the Chao Phraya Abhaiphubet Museum, a must-see attraction for anyone passing through Prachinburi.

Crispy oyster omelet, very crispy, very generous portion. We went as a couple and couldn't finish it all.
Stir-fried lotus stems with shrimp. The young, crispy lotus stems were delicious, and my partner devoured the whole dish.
River prawns, size 6 per kilogram, 1200 baht per kilogram. Very fresh and the seafood dipping sauce here is spicy, so spicy it could breathe fire.

After driving for less than 5 minutes, we arrived at the Chao Phraya Abhaiphubejhr Museum. This is a must-see attraction, with free admission and a shop selling herbal medicines and products made from various herbs.
This concludes this entry. Thank you for reading to the end. The next entry will be about a trip to Nakhon Pathom. Please stay tuned. :)
