Hello everyone, let's take a trip south to the province that everyone knows well, Phuket. In addition to its beautiful beaches and foreign tourists, there are many other tourist attractions that I would like everyone to experience.

First, let's introduce some information about Phuket province.

- Phuket is a southern province of Thailand. It is the largest island in Thailand, located in the Andaman Sea. The neighboring provinces to the north are Phang Nga and Krabi. The entire island is surrounded by the Indian Ocean, and there are also islands within the territory of Phuket to the south and east. It is accessible by car, with only one route passing through Phang Nga Province, crossing the Sarasin Bridge and its parallel bridges, the Thao Thep Kasattri Bridge and the Thao Si Sunthon Bridge, to enter the main city.

- The motto of Phuket Province is "Andaman Pearl, Southern Paradise, Golden Sand Beach, Two Heroines, Luang Pho Chaem's Grace."

Before embarking on our trip, we refueled at Uncle Dam's Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Shop, located on Yaowarat 2/3 Road, Mueang District, Phuket Province (the alley next to Bangkok Hospital Phuket). The prices are affordable, with generous toppings for only 49 baht per cup. Each cup comes with 3 scoops of ice cream, and you can choose your own flavors, whether you want a mix or all 3 scoops of the same flavor.

This is the storefront.

With renewed energy, it's time to embark on an exciting adventure! Hooray!

The first destination is Khao Rang, located at 145/5 Patiphat Road, Mueang Phuket District. It is a scenic viewpoint, a hill within the city of Phuket on the northwest side. Cars and other vehicles can reach the top of the hill via the "Koseembi" road. The panoramic view of Phuket Island is breathtaking, especially at night when the lights from houses twinkle below. This makes it a popular viewpoint for the local population. Khao Rang also serves as a health park and public park for relaxation and recreation.

Upon arrival, we will encounter the monument of Phraya Ratsadanupradit Mahisorn Phakdi, Kosinbi Na Ranong.

To reach the viewpoint, we must first pass through the Hall of Honor.

The Hall of Fame also provides interesting facts about Phuket for visitors to read.

This panoramic view from Khao Rang encompasses the entirety of Phuket Town.

This is a picture of the Hall of Fame taken from behind.

Capture a photo with the sign.

In addition, there are also restaurants here. You can come and have a meal.

In addition to the scenic viewpoint, there is also a health park where we can exercise.

The second location we visited was the Pu-Jao Shrine, also known as the Aam Pu-Jao in the local Phuket dialect. This century-old shrine is situated in the heart of Phuket Town on Ranong Road, adjacent to the Jui Tui Shrine. The shrine houses the statue of the Bodhisattva Guan Yin, also known as the Pu-Jao Guan Yin. The term "Pu-Jao" is a Hokkien Chinese term used by the people of Phuket to refer to the Bodhisattva Guan Yin, or the Goddess of Mercy.

Location: 289 Ranong, Ranong Road, Talat Nuea Subdistrict, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket

Entrance to the Shrine

Upon entering the temple, we purchased incense and candles for prayer offerings. We received a set of incense sticks like this:

We will light incense and candles, which we will then place in the designated spots. These spots are arranged in a circle with holes for the candles to be inserted.

First, we must pay respect by turning our faces towards the east, to pay respect to the gods of heaven and earth. Then, we should insert three incense sticks into the pot.

Next, we will pay respects to Guanyin and her disciples. After paying respects, place all the incense sticks in the pot behind.

The reason for passing under the table is to allow the Chinese monk statue to dispel the evil spirits that are attached to us.

This is all the Chinese deities inside the shrine. After we finish worshipping the deities, we will burn paper.

At the shrine, there are lanterns for burning paper. Once the fire is lit, we throw the paper into the stove, and the prayer is complete.

Our third destination is Wat Koh Sireh, a temple perched atop Koh Sireh Hill. Boasting breathtaking panoramic views, the temple offers a glimpse of the entire island stretching as far as the eye can see. Situated approximately 4 kilometers from Phuket Town and 2 kilometers from the village, the hilltop sanctuary houses a reclining Buddha statue (Phra Non) – the presiding deity for those born on a Tuesday. Additionally, behind the ordination hall, a replica of the revered Phra That Intharawat stands in all its splendor.

This is the way up. Please remove your shoes before walking up.

As we ascend the stairs, we encounter an inscription of a prayer to the Naga King for wealth.

We finally arrived at the destination. Inside the room, there is a reclining Buddha statue.

Upon exiting, a Buddha statue will be available for worship, accompanied by a prayer script.

A short walk away, we reached the replica of the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda, eliminating the need to travel all the way to Myanmar. Its beauty is equally captivating.

This is a view taken from the back of the replica of Phra That Intharachuan. You can see the view of Koh Sire. It is recommended to come in the evening because the ground is very hot in the morning. However, if you come in the morning, you will see a more beautiful view than in the evening.

The fourth site is Wat Chalong, an ancient temple in Phuket province. There is no definitive record of when it was built, but it is mentioned in the reign of King Rama III. It was originally called "Wat Chalong", but King Chulalongkorn changed its name to "Wat Chaiyatharam". However, locals still call it Wat Chalong because it is easier to pronounce. The temple is famous for the sacredness of Luang Pho Chaem, the former abbot of Wat Chalong. Wat Chalong is located about 8 km from Phuket town. Pass the intersection at Surakul Stadium, turn left towards the Saphan Hin Intersection, and Wat Chalong will be on the left about 4 km before the Saphan Hin Intersection.

The surroundings of the Phra Ubosot of Wat Chalong

The interior of the ordination hall houses the revered statues of Luang Pho Chaem, Luang Pho Chuang, and Luang Pho Kluean. Due to our visit coinciding with a holiday, the hall was bustling with a large crowd.

This is the only stupa in Thailand located on the shores of the Andaman Sea.

The entrance to the bathroom (convenient, clean, 10 out of 10) In case anyone is hungry, there are food stalls near the temple, but I didn't take any pictures.

The final stop on this trip is the Lard Yai Walking Street, which is open only on Sundays from 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM. It is considered a market that showcases the culture of Phuket very well, with local food, handicrafts, and various performances. The market is divided into zones, allowing tourists to choose what they want to see based on their preferences.

This section features handmade goods from Phuket, perfect as souvenirs or gifts. Visitors can purchase these items at the Lad Yai market to take home a piece of the island's charm.

In addition to local products, there is also a wide variety of other foods, such as oysters.

This section features a renowned Phuket dessert called "Apoong," characterized by its crispy exterior and soft interior, earning it the nickname "crispy outside, soft inside." A must-try for any visitor to Phuket.

The final leg of our journey was a minibus from Surat Thani to Phuket, which cost 200 baht per person. We boarded the bus at Talat Kaset 2.

And the taxi that helped us travel around Phuket this time. As for the fare, it was 3,500 baht, but we could go anywhere in Phuket and the taxi would be with us all the time.

Thank you for the information.
