Two days and three nights, looking for a place to travel outside of Bangkok. This is the starting point of this trip. I wanted to change the atmosphere, so I took a train trip again. Traveling by train is not as difficult as I thought. Leaving Bangkok on Friday evening, we can continue our journey on Saturday morning and return on Sunday evening to Monday morning, ready to go back to work. It means that we don't have to take a day off.
Upon arrival, we took a quick photo with the train station. This was the first time our class had taken a train to Chiang Mai.
Public Transportation:
From the city center, take a red songthaew from the bus station or airport to the Chom Thong bus station near Chiang Mai Gate 2 (20 baht). Then, board a blue bus to the Chom Thong-Mae Chaem bus station near Wat Phra That Sri Chom Thong. Finally, take a yellow songthaew to Mae Chaem and get off at the entrance to Ban Pha Nang or Wat Mae Raek (80 baht).
Private Vehicle:
From the city center, drive towards Hang Dong > San Pa Tong > Chom Thong. Before entering Chom Thong, look for the sign for Doi Inthanon and turn right. Continue driving up the mountain, stopping at any waterfalls, rice terraces, or Royal Projects that interest you. At the first and second checkpoints, inform the officers that you are going to Mae Chaem to avoid paying the entrance fee. Shortly after the second checkpoint, turn left towards Mae Chaem. This section of the road is narrow and winding with steep inclines and sharp turns. Drive cautiously. After passing the Mae Chaem viewpoint, look for the sign for Ban Pha Nang and turn left. Follow the GPS instructions (Mr. Kowit will send you a map via Line indicating the exact pick-up point, either at Wat Mae Raek or Ban Pha Nang, depending on the road conditions and the need for a 4WD vehicle).
During the journey, there is Wachirathan Waterfall, a beautiful spot on Doi Inthanon, where you can stop and take in the scenery.
After turning around, the car was parked at the house of Mr. Kowit's relative in Ban Phanang Village. After meeting Mr. Kowit, the owner of the farmstay, we drove off-road from the village, climbing the ridge of Doi Pawi to the hut accommodation, a distance of about 7-8 kilometers. Along the way, Mr. Kowit told us about the area. Along the way, we could see the planting of rice, corn, or seasonal vegetables on the plains at the foot of the mountain.
Kovid Kradhom Plad Nai is a secluded accommodation nestled in a valley. The lodging resembles small huts or rice barns, with seven in total: four on the upper level and three on the lower level. The view from above offers a glimpse of the huts nestled amidst the rice paddies below.
Each cottage has a bedroom, a bathroom, and a veranda for activities, sitting, relaxing, and enjoying the view of the front yard. Amenities include only an electrical outlet and a single fan, although the weather is actually quite cool and comfortable. At night, the air is pleasantly cool, and there is no need to turn on the fan.
Breakfast was served in a "khantoke" style with a beautiful view in front of the accommodation. Honestly, it was very relaxing. Plus, the food tasted great and the ingredients were all sourced from the farm.
Waking up early, Wicha was greeted by the mist that enveloped the surroundings. The atmosphere was truly wonderful, as if the valley belonged only to him.

The internet signal is guaranteed to be full because it is close to the transmission tower. Homestay tourism does not require much, just come to relax and access nature. Experiencing the local way of life is something that is happy for Wichai.
Take a walk around the accommodation and explore the surrounding rice fields. You can wander through the scenic landscape by following the paths along the rice paddies.
Dinner was served in the traditional "khantoke" style, with a breathtaking view of the evening landscape from our accommodation. It was truly a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
