The Mulberry Chinese Cuisine, located on the 10th floor of The Berkeley Hotel, is currently offering a promotion where the price has been reduced from 699 to 599 net per person. Let's take a look at the appearance and taste of the food.

After contacting the reception at the restaurant entrance, the staff escorted me to the reserved room. The room's decor was a modern Chinese style, with gleaming polished marble floors. Along the walkway, there were glass rooms where chefs were showcasing their culinary skills. The warm lighting accentuated the food's appearance, making my stomach rumble. Upon entering the room, I saw a luxuriously set 10-seater Chinese table, exuding an air of opulence. Without hesitation, I grabbed the menu and promptly ordered food, unable to wait any longer.

According to the menu, one person will receive 23 dim sum items as shown in the first picture, which can be ordered continuously. There are also 4 special menus, each of which can only be ordered once as shown in the second picture.

  • Appetizer & Vegetables > Order Hong Kong Roast Duck
  • Soup > Order Steamed Grouper Soup with Plum
  • Rice & Noodles > Order Yangzhou Fried Rice
  • Dessert > Order Ginger Soup with Glutinous Rice Balls

As there were 10 of us, we were able to order a variety of special dishes to suit everyone's tastes. This gave us the opportunity to try many different special dishes.

Let's take a look at the appearance and taste of dim sum.

  • Shrimp dumplings are the first item to be sampled. The appearance and color may be similar to other places, but the taste is restaurant-quality. The deliciousness lies in the freshness of the shrimp, the texture of which is bouncy and satisfying, making it a must-order.

  • Steamed shrimp dumplings with thin, chewy skin and bouncy, fragrant shrimp filling. The perfect bite size makes it easy to go back for seconds.

  • Steamed shrimp with lime: The fresh, crunchy texture of the shrimp combined with the perfectly balanced sour and spicy dipping sauce makes this dish a favorite among women.

  • Bacon and Shrimp with Garlic Chili Sauce: Bacon wrapped around shrimp, drizzled with garlic chili sauce.

  • Shark fin dumpling with crab meat, topped with shrimp roe

  • Stir-fried Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce

  • Spinach dumplings

  • Black pepper sauce with shiitake mushrooms and shrimp

  • Xiao Long Bao, if the soup doesn't burst in your mouth, it's not considered a failure. But here, when you take a bite, the soup is so juicy.

  • Steamed bun with red pork filling

  • Taro-filled steamed bun

  • The salted egg lava bun was left out for too long while I was taking pictures of other dishes, so the lava didn't work. It didn't have time to flow out before it hardened. 55

  • Deep-fried tofu pockets filled with shrimp, flavorful.

  • Fried taro

  • Spring rolls with vermicelli

  • Spicy salmon roe with wasabi sauce, dipped in additional wasabi sauce for those who prefer an extra kick.

  • Deep-fried Chinese lotus root

  • Fried turnip cake. I never thought I would eat turnip cake from a street vendor. I don't know what it tastes like, but after trying it in a hotel, I realized that turnip cake is delicious.

  • Steamed sea bass with soy sauce

  • Braised Duck Legs with Herbs

  • Steamed duck legs and preserved egg

The special menu consists of four dishes, which are perfect for sharing with a group of friends. The first dish is drunken chicken, which features tender and flavorful chicken marinated in liquor.

  • Hong Kong roasted duck, another dish that I love.

  • Honey-roasted pork

  • Crispy pork, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, I must say.

  • Cold pork leg, a unique but delicious dish.

  • Stir-fried Hong Kong kale with garlic

  • Chinese cabbage with oyster sauce

  • Crispy jellyfish stir-fried with sesame oil, free of fishy smell

  • Grouper soup with plum

  • Spinach soup with preserved egg

  • Crab stick and three flavours soup

Hokkien Fried Noodles

This dish is a popular street food in Thailand, often found at hawker centers and food stalls. It is a stir-fry noodle dish made with thick wheat noodles, vegetables, and a variety of meats or seafood. The noodles are typically stir-fried with a dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a blend of spices. Hokkien fried noodles are often served with a fried egg on top.

  • Stir-fried noodles with pork

  • Khao soi

  • Lotus leaf-wrapped rice

  • Yangzhou fried rice

  • Stir-fried rice with kale and salted fish

  • XO sauce roasted duck fried rice

While filming, we missed out on tasting several dishes. It was a chaotic and fun experience, filming and tasting at the same time. Overall, the taste, price, and variety of dishes at this hotel restaurant are worth the price. This promotion is only available until the end of August.

The meal concludes with a choice of four desserts, including:

  • Sago with cantaloupe

  • Tofu pudding with mixed fruits

  • Hot and cold ginkgo nuts

  • Ginger-infused sweet dumplings in syrup

Private rooms are available in various sizes, with prices ranging from 500 to 1,000.
