Tealily, a beloved tea shop among green tea enthusiasts, has recently relocated to Ekkamai Soi 12. The shop's popularity stems from its unique and delicious homemade, or rather "heartmade," tea and pastries, which have garnered widespread word-of-mouth praise.

During a brief conversation with Bow, the charming owner of this lovely establishment, it became clear that discovering one's passion and pursuing it brings immense joy. Bow herself studied tea brewing in Japan, and all the sweets are her own creations, meticulously developed and tested. One question that arose was why tea? Why not coffee or becoming a barista?

"Every time I make tea, my heart swells with joy." This is a clear expression of the love that the maker puts into their work, which is then passed on to the drinker.

The new store retains the same charming and cozy atmosphere as the previous one, but with the added benefit of a larger space that can accommodate more tea lovers. Additionally, the new location is more easily accessible, as it is situated on a main road.

The star of the show is undoubtedly the green tea, which is made using Uji matcha imported from Kyoto, Japan. Each cup is freshly brewed to order, ensuring a consistently fresh and aromatic experience.

Today's Menu:

  • Matcha Choco: This drink offers a delightful blend of matcha and cocoa aromas. It's easy to enjoy as is, but for those who prefer a sweeter taste, adding syrup is an option.

This Matcha Ice Cube drink serves green tea in the form of ice cubes. We pour milk over it to mix and then drink. This menu is not sweet at all, so it is recommended to add a little syrup because the matcha ice cubes are very concentrated.

  • Matcha Brownie: A dense and chewy brownie drizzled with a fragrant matcha sauce. This warm treat is served slightly warm and has a perfectly balanced sweetness.

  • Matcha x Oreo Ice-cream: This homemade ice cream perfectly balances sweetness and bitterness. The matcha is intensely concentrated, boasting a slight bitterness that is perfectly offset by the sweetness of the Oreo ice cream.

  • The final menu item that the restaurant is proud to present is Matcha Shiratama Dango. The highlight of this menu is the freshly made dango dough with a special recipe. Khun Bow said that it took a long time to get it right, and it will only be made when there is an order. There will be no take-away option because they want customers to experience the fresh and delicious taste.

Another star of the shop is the cat named Mochi, who is as soft and cuddly as his name suggests. Even though he doesn't do much, just sitting there is enough to make customers fall in love with him.

Green Tea Trivia

  • Matcha: Refers exclusively to powdered green tea. The darker the color, the higher the quality.
  • Hojicha: Made from roasted green tea leaves, resulting in a mild flavor with almost no bitterness and significantly less caffeine than matcha. Ideal for those new to tea or sensitive to caffeine.
  • Caffeine in one cup of matcha: Equivalent to the caffeine in eight cups of regular tea.
