Today, I will take you to a new homestay destination in Chumphon Province, located in the fishing village of Ao Mamuang, Tung Tako District, Chumphon. This village is just starting to offer homestays, with 3-4 currently available and more under construction. They are also developing a good management system for the village. Today, we will be staying at Moss Mek Homestay, which offers a great atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent hospitality. Let's go on a trip together!
The journey is not difficult. If you are from Chumphon city, travel south before reaching the intersection of Tung Tako District for 2 km. Turn left at the intersection that says Ao Mamuang and go straight. Or, you can search for "Ao Mamuang Fishing Village" on Google Maps and you will find it easily. You have arrived.

Let's take a look inside and see what amenities are available for guests. Today, our tour guide is Noy.
Inside Look: Amenities for Guests
Let's take a peek inside and see what amenities are available for guests.
The interior is beautifully decorated and well-prepared, with picnic mats and mosquito nets that are exceptionally clean. There are also private bathrooms and bedrooms available.
How about a relaxing atmosphere behind the homestay? In the cool evening, you can chill and take photos with your friends.

After exploring our accommodation, we decided to take a leisurely stroll while waiting for dinner. Beside the homestay, we encountered a serene bank of sand and a handful of traditional fishing houses, creating a tranquil atmosphere ideal for relaxation.
Dinner time! We'll catch the sunrise tomorrow. The food looks delicious: crab, shrimp, squid, stir-fried betel leaves with eggs, sour curry, and fruits. We can eat as much as we want.
The food was delicious. Today, we had two groups from Chiang Mai, so we had a lot of friends to eat with. We ate so much crab that we got tired of it.
After a hearty meal, the girls retired to the air-conditioned room to rest. Meanwhile, a group from Chiang Mai arrived at the house. We decided to spend the night enjoying the fresh air and beautiful scenery by the sea. The absence of mosquitoes and the availability of mosquito nets ensured a comfortable and relaxing experience.
Dim and comfortable lighting.
Waking up to stunning views of the misty mountain peaks from the comfort of your bed.
The atmosphere here is fantastic. I'm having a great time at the homestay.
We started exploring, and they told us that the sunrise next to our accommodation was beautiful. We walked 50 meters from the front of the accommodation.
The morning light is beautiful.
Let's go up to a high angle for a bit. The sun is just rising.
There are 3-4 nearby islands that can be visited by boat. This is Koh Maphrao, a bird's nest island.
The homeowner informed us that it was time for breakfast, so we returned to eat before continuing our exploration of the village.
This morning, we had coffee, fish congee, and sticky rice with egg for breakfast. We ate 3-4 servings each, and we were still full.
Before heading out to relax, take a peek at the girls' rooms. The air-conditioned rooms are comfortable for sleeping and offer beautiful photo spots.
Let's go for a walk outside and see what the fishermen have caught this morning.
Wow, that's a huge fish! The white fishing boat caught it. They say it must weigh over 30 kilograms.
Here's another one.
The houses nearby are incredibly abundant, which is why we get to eat fresh seafood like this. Plus, we can buy it directly from the source, without going through a middleman. It's fresh, cheap, and a great value for our trip.
A relaxing stop for photos. The locals are friendly and welcoming, as there are only a few houses in the area. It's safe to take a leisurely stroll.
