Last weekend, I had the opportunity to visit Koh Kood for 3 days and 2 nights. I was deeply impressed by the island's atmosphere, which harmoniously blends with nature and the local villagers' way of life. The accommodation was peaceful and private, making it a true paradise for relaxation.
For this trip, we started our journey from Chanthaburi province to Laem Sok Pier in Trat province.
The itinerary for this trip is relaxed and casual.
- Day 1: In the afternoon, take a ferry to Koh Kood. Upon arrival, a hotel-arranged songthaew (shared taxi) will pick you up. Spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel.
- Day 2: Go snorkeling and explore the coral reefs of Koh Rang.
- Day 3: Depart from Koh Kood and return to Laem Sok Pier.
We booked this program from the Klerm Land page for 5,780฿. We are not sure about the price from other places, but when we searched, it was the cheapest here. If anyone is interested, try to see the package. They give very good advice and always ask if there are any problems.
The hotel we stayed at this time was Rest Sea Resort. We fell in love with it after seeing the pictures on the website. It is located in Ao Phrao Bay, which is almost the easternmost bay on the island. It is very quiet and private, and the beach in front is beautiful even when the tide is low. It takes about 30 minutes to get there from the pier. The rooms and facilities are good and complete, and the staff here impressed us very much. Everyone takes good care of the customers, with full service mind!!
The front desk staff eagerly awaits the arrival of guests.
The rooms here are clearly divided, with bamboo fences separating each one.
The beachfront area features a swimming pool and a restaurant.
Let's take a look inside the room. It's spacious and has plenty of space.
The veranda has benches and swings for relaxation.
We are very fond of the bathroom here. Do you see the partition on the left side? It's actually the back of the wardrobe. Now, whenever we want to get dressed, we simply open the curtain and take out our clothes. What a brilliant idea!
The beach in front of the resort is a great place to take a stroll. The water here is not too salty, and there is a canal that flows into the sea nearby.
For dinner that evening, we entrusted our stomachs to the hotel's restaurant. Initially, we were a bit apprehensive, but the food turned out to be delicious, and we indulged ourselves fully. If you book a package that includes dinner, you will be served various seafood options. However, our package did not include this, so we ordered what we wanted to eat.
A few friends might join us for a meal. They love grilled pork neck.
On the second day, we prepared to go diving. We had a buffet breakfast to fuel up, with the option to choose one egg dish each. We were stuffed!
After returning from diving, we arrived at the resort around 3 pm. We took a shower, changed our clothes, and went for a walk and kayaking. The kayaks belong to the resort and can be borrowed for free. However, after kayaking, you need to lift the boat back to the beach and store it.
On the second evening, we hired a motorbike to go to Ao Yai, as none of us knew how to ride a motorbike. It was a small fishing village with a few restaurants. We ate at the first restaurant on the right, but I apologize, I can't remember the name.
Returning to the resort, they continued to play cards until late at night.
The third day was the day we had to return. I felt a pang of regret, wishing I could stay longer. I didn't want to leave. It was three days of pure happiness, a true recharge for my soul.
