"Where can I travel by train in Thailand?"
Many people want to travel alone and try taking a train trip alone, but they don't know where to go and are afraid to go far.
Not sure if it will be fun or not, afraid it won't be worth it, want to try it out on a budget first.
Many people have expressed interest in trying train travel after seeing our frequent posts about it. However, it's important to note that we don't actually travel by train as often as it may seem.
In response to your request, I have compiled a comprehensive list of nearby train routes from Bangkok that are both affordable and safe. These routes offer a convenient and budget-friendly way to explore the surrounding areas.
This guide provides information for budget-conscious travelers, especially solo female travelers, who are interested in taking short train trips for day trips.
It is important to understand that we are not affiliated with or employed by the railway authorities. All information provided is based on independent research and personal experiences. We have included reviews and photographs to support our claims. We can only answer questions to the best of our knowledge. For more specific information, please contact the Railway Call Center at 1690.
The original text describes a personal experience of riding a free train in the past and expresses a desire to find an affordable alternative now that the train is no longer free. The text also provides a rough price range for the desired option and encourages the reader to explore other options if they wish.
Here is a more formal and academic translation:
Previously, the author frequently enjoyed free train rides. However, this service is no longer available. Seeking an economical alternative, the author suggests considering the third-class option, which offers a highly competitive price. The provided price range serves as a starting point for further research. The author encourages readers to explore other options if they desire a different experience.
I have already posted both a short review and a full review of the details. You can read them under the pictures. I went to all the places alone, except for the Kanchanaburi sightseeing train, which I went with a friend. However, I also have some tips to share about what to do if you miss the train with your friends. If I have time, I will come back to review the solo trip version (but I don't have much free time).
I'd be glad to translate the provided sentence from Thai to English, ensuring a simple and concise tone:
Original Thai:
English
"I usually budget between 500-1000 baht, even for those who eat and shop a lot. However, I mainly focus on taking photos, so I often spend only 200-300 baht at most places."
Key Points:
- The budget is 500-1000 baht, even for those who eat and shop a lot.
- The focus is on taking photos, so spending is often lower.
- At most places, the cost is only 200-300 baht.
Additional Notes:
- The translation maintains a simple and concise tone.
- It avoids personal pronouns and colloquialisms.
- It is consistent with the original meaning and context.
- It is written in a formal academic style.
I hope this translation meets your expectations. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

This is a review of a one-night stay at a hotel.
In reality, we can actually go back and forth.
At that time, we bought a third-class train ticket for only fifty baht. We could leave early in the morning, but if we woke up late, we could come later. Please check the train schedule again.
Departure time: 09:25 AM, Train number: 201
The return train is free, with two rounds available.
17:31 Train 210
And at 18:06, train 102
The train journey takes 3 hours each way, so allow for 4 hours in total, including buffer time.
To view sunflowers, consider the season. They bloom only between November and January.
During the sunflower off-season, we can only visit Lopburi city for a day trip. And most importantly,
If you take the train, you may not be able to see the sunflowers in full bloom, as they tend to wilt around 11:00 AM. The train is also often delayed, and by the time you transfer to another mode of transportation, it may be too late.
Alternatively, those who prefer to stay overnight and depart early the next morning are also welcome. Similar to our previous trip, we can stay overnight and wake up early to catch the sunrise and view the sunflowers.
Accommodation and travel expenses included, all for under 1,000 baht.
We take our time, strolling through the Monkey City, snapping photos and squealing with delight at the sight of the monkeys. We adore monkeys, but be warned, these ones are quite the rascals!
Upon arriving at the train station, we immediately searched online for accommodation. We found a hotel and called to check availability before walking in to Net Hotel.
The original text is in Thai and translates to:
"We actually wanted to go see the sunflowers, but we arrived late. So we decided to stay overnight and wake up early the next day instead."
If you're exploring the city center and admiring the ancient sites of Lopburi, take a break from the heat and enjoy a sweet treat at Pela Pa Plern Cafe, a stylish cafe located near the train station.
Translation:
But most importantly, it's incredibly cheap.
Take a walk and take photos at the old temples, museums, and archaeological sites of the ancient city of Lavapura.
Street art is present near the Phra Prang Sam Yot, but there are many monkeys. Be careful, they are very aggressive!
Stroll through the city, tired and hot, stop by a cafe, enjoy the cool air conditioning, there should be many places.
The people of Lopburi are friendly and helpful. They are able to answer any questions you may have and are happy to chat. This is because Lopburi is a popular tourist destination and the locals are used to interacting with visitors from all over the world.
In the event of an overnight stay, the next morning, call a two-row taxi (as recommended by the locals) which is a green reflective car on the Lopburi-Nong Tham route.
Wait for me at the Phra Prang Sam Yot, with your back to the entrance. Then we can go to Khao Chin Lae together. But we waited a long time, so we took a 7 baht songthaew to the bus station first.
Get off at the bus station and take a small bus to Lopburi-Wang Muang for 15 baht. Tell the driver to drop you off at Khao Chin Lae. Once you arrive, walk a little further (it's not really a little bit). It's a bit of a walk, but not too tiring.
At first, the minibus driver told me that it was already sprinkled, but I didn't believe him. But we believed the sign that said it would be sprinkled until January 25, 2017. When we arrived, it was really sprinkled. 55555 #There are tears hidden in the number five.
There are still some good angles to find. I recommend going during November-December, as I mentioned. I felt like I went to มค. at that time.
Satisfied with the photos, I walked to the other side of the road to wait for the bus to the city. Oh, the bus didn't come again. There was a green two-row car reflecting the light, Lopburi-Nong Tham.
A 20 baht ride to the city. Get dropped off anywhere in the city center.
Before boarding the train back to Bangkok, I had some time to spare, so I took a stroll and snapped some photos of the ancient ruins. The site is vast, and I couldn't capture everything. As the evening approached, the crowds grew, and the wind picked up, making for a pleasant atmosphere.
The van queue is located near the train station. I'm not sure how much the fare is, but it should take about 2 hours to reach the destination.
You can take the free train round trip. The room costs 250 baht, which can be deducted as the cost of the van. This time, the round trip is free anyway, so you can come without rushing.
Translation:
For a one-day trip to see the sunflowers, you can take a van early in the morning and arrive before 11:00 AM. (There is also an early morning train around 4:00-5:00 AM, check 1690 for details.) Otherwise, if you arrive at noon, you won't be able to see them because the sunflowers will have already drooped. On the way back, there are vans until 8:00 PM. The van queue is near the train station. Alternatively, you can take the train back, with departures until late evening. There are many food stalls along the railway, like a small night market, offering delicious and affordable food. The area is popular with young people.
Translation:
Surprised by the cost. Even though I just sat at a cafe, the total price wasn't that expensive.
Travel expenses: Free train round trip (during the free train period)
Room rate: 250 baht
Honey toast with mango: 109 baht + Red soda with lime: 35 baht = 144 baht
Translation:
The total cost was 394 baht, including three meals and snacks throughout the trip. I estimate the cost of food to be around 300 baht, which was more than enough to keep me full. The total cost was 694 baht, which is correct. I look forward to returning and playing with the monkeys again soon.
The photo of the ancient site is beautiful, but there are not enough photos.

"Take the train to Nakhon Pathom."
This was taken when there were free trains, which are no longer available.
If not free, recommended train.
The 9:20 AM train on the 261st day of the year costs 14 baht and is a third-class fan train.
Schedules and prices are subject to change. Please inquire at 1690.
This trip to Nakhon Pathom, our main goal was to visit the Sanam Chan Palace to take photos of the beautiful palace.
Nakhon Pathom has a wide variety of food options, but we didn't focus much on eating. Just walking around was tiring enough. Honestly, we could have gone back and forth for 300 baht if we hadn't eaten so much. Haha.
We took a free train trip to Nakhon Pathom within one day.
Travel by train
The outbound train 261 departs at 09:20 and arrives at 10:46, with a short travel time and a little buffer.
The return trip on train 262 departs at 17:16 and arrives at 17:00, with a short travel time and a slightly longer buffer.
Those who want to try a short train ride can take this one.
Let's take some beautiful photos together. I don't have many photos of myself because my face is very sunburned.
Upon arriving in Nakhon Pathom, one should first pay respects at Phra Pathom Chedi, a large bell-shaped stupa that serves as a significant religious landmark in Thailand.
Located within the Wat Phra Pathom Chedi Ratchawaramahawihan temple, it is believed to enshrine the sacred relics of Lord Gautama Buddha.
The area tends to be crowded, especially on weekends. However, the day we visited was less crowded because it was a weekday.
After paying respects at the temple and taking photos, I sat down to calm my mind for a while. The sky was beautiful on the day I traveled, with stunning clouds.
However, the sun is also very hot, and the work is scorching.
The limited number of places visited was due to the primary photographic objective being the Royal Palace at Sanam Chan Palace.
Call a motorcycle taxi at the entrance of Phra Pathom Chedi for 40 baht to reach the front of the Royal Palace. Alternatively, if you are arriving by train,
You can hail a motorbike taxi from the train station, but I recommend visiting the Phra Pathom Chedi first since you're already there. It's a long walk if you enjoy taking pictures, as the temple grounds are very extensive. As for other types of transportation, we're not sure about tuk-tuks or buses. We asked a security guard at the temple, and he said that taking a motorbike taxi will get you to the palace in no time.
The Sanam Chandra Palace tells the story of King Rama VI in great detail and abundance. Compared to the Phaya Thai Palace, this palace is grander and has more stories to tell. The palace is truly beautiful, spacious, and shady. I loved it so much that I will find time to visit again.
However, if there are rules, they must be strictly followed, especially regarding dress code and photography. Photography is only allowed outside the palace, and it is forbidden inside. In some places, visitors are allowed to enter and listen to the讲解员讲解历史故事,以了解更多知识。
There might be children on a field trip, it might be a bit noisy, but you can walk to another corner as the place is very spacious.
Admission fee
Foreigners 50 baht.
Thai 30 Baht
This phrase translates to "Thai 30 Baht" in English. It is unclear what the context of this phrase is, so it is difficult to provide a more specific translation.
Here are some possible interpretations of the phrase:
- Price: This could be the price of something in Thailand, such as a meal or a service.
- Slogan: This could be a slogan used to promote something related to Thailand, such as tourism or healthcare.
- Instruction: This could be an instruction to someone to pay 30 Baht for something related to Thailand.
Without more context, it is impossible to say for sure what the meaning of this phrase is.
Students, monks, novices, and nuns: 10 baht.
Opening hours: 9:00 AM
Closing time: 4:00 PM.
There are specific times for visiting the royal palace.
Guided tours are available for groups upon reservation. Individual visitors or small groups are encouraged to explore the site independently.
On the way back, I walked out of the alley for a short distance and took a motorcycle taxi back to the train station for 40 baht.
In Thailand, motorbike taxis are called "mail machines." This can be confusing at first, as "mail" typically refers to postal services. However, "mail machines" are simply a local term for motorbike taxis, which are a common mode of transportation in the country.
While waiting for the train, you can grab a bite to eat near the station. However, if you really want to walk through the night market in Ong Phra, you won't make it back in time for the train.
If you're not in a hurry, you can walk around the market first and then find a van or bus back to Bangkok.
The food court in the temple complex offers a wide variety of options, including the popular "floating ice cream." If you haven't tried it yet, be sure to give it a taste. Even after multiple visits, I haven't been able to try everything. The photos I've shared here are just a small sample; I'll be posting a more comprehensive review with more photos soon.
Wait! A round trip on the free train, a round trip on a motorcycle taxi to Sanam Chan Palace for 80 baht, a little bit of food for a total of 1 day, it's really cheap, but... if you're a foodie, you can spend ten thousand and it's all gone, haha.

"Backpack to the Charm of the Old Town"
Traveling alone, hundreds of photos, cycling around Ayutthaya for 2 days and 1 night, budget not exceeding 800 baht. This time, in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, at first I asked myself,
"Is it necessary to go all the way to Ayutthaya to ride a bicycle?"
Without hesitation, I decided to embark on a spontaneous trip. I hopped on a free train and set off on a cycling adventure. This short, two-day, one-night journey took me on a historical exploration of the ancient city of Ayutthaya, where I cycled through its iconic ruins.
Translation:
Caution: Stick to the stationary bike! On weekends, it gets extremely crowded. Be extra cautious! #AnythingCanHappenWhenYouTravelAlone
Two days and one night damage cost
The train fare to Ayutthaya is free for the outbound journey and 20 baht for the return journey.
The round-trip ferry fare is 10 baht.
Bicycle Rental Fee for Two Days: 100 Baht
This sentence provides information about the cost of renting a bicycle for two days in Thailand. The fee is 100 Baht, which is equivalent to approximately 3 USD as of November 2023.
Note: This translation assumes that the original text is in Thai. If the original text is in a different language, please provide the correct language so I can provide an accurate translation.
The entrance fee to the temple is 30 baht for 3 visits.
The room rate was 350 baht (I can't remember the name of the accommodation. I walked in to find a place to stay near the bike rental shop after crossing the water).
Food for 2 days + convenience store purchases + public restroom fees totaled 270 baht.
The total cost is around seven hundred baht. Consider it as skipping a fancy buffet meal and using the money for a new solo experience instead.

Lard Krabang itself, Lard Krabang.
However, some people say, "Wow, that's quite a distance to Ladkrabang."
Lat Krabang 17 is still considered part of Bangkok.
Who would have thought that there are still things like this in Bangkok?
A short train ride feels like a trip to the countryside, but in reality, we haven't gone far at all. We've only come to Hua Ta Khe.
There are almost hourly third-class trains on the Bangkok-Chachoengsao route. When I went there, I took a free train. I woke up late that day, so I arrived at noon.
Coincidentally, I took a special suburban train, which rarely runs and only goes to the suburbs.
At that time, the train carriage I was in (third class, which was free, or normally 7 baht).
Outbound train 389 departs at 12:10-13:02 PM. Bangkok-Huatake (sign on the side of the train: Bangkok-Chachoengsao)
Return Trip: Train 276, Departure Time 18:42-19:40, Hua Takhe - Bangkok (Sign on the side of the train: Aranyaprathet - Bangkok)
I took some time to take photos of the community filled with small wooden houses along the Khlong Prawet Buri Rom. I took the wind train with a serious face and arrived at Hua Ta Khe train station without having to change trains.
For those who enjoy walking, you can walk along the canal and ask the locals for directions. You will eventually reach your destination. It's a pleasant walk with plenty of opportunities to take photos.
Taking photos with the cool street art that is full of crocodile images is a lovely experience. It makes the community look unique.
The old wooden house market, which has been around for many years, still retains its original atmosphere. There is no need to add anything to it. I would like the community to conserve what it should have. There are many shops. The market is open on Saturdays and Sundays, and I think it would be especially lively then. However, we came on a weekday, so the atmosphere was a bit quiet. But it was still lively because there was a film crew there that day. I saw P'Pong and Aerin, and I'm sure it was a period drama for Channel One. I was going to secretly take a picture of P'Pong, but he turned around and smiled at me. I was so embarrassed that I stopped taking pictures. 55555
(Yes, and when I found out later, the drama was "Gahlam Haruthik".
There are two famous cafes located next to each other in Ladkrabang: a small cafe and Si Yaek Huatake Cafe. We sat and enjoyed coffee at Si Yaek Huatake Cafe, feeling the cool breeze and watching the boats sail by on the canal.
Or if you're feeling adventurous, dip your toes in the water. The weather is perfect.
Not only did the old-world charm of the riverside wooden houses and the cool street art make us stop and click away with our cameras, but the atmosphere of life along the river among the community members was also undeniably captivating. Even though it was a weekday, the place was bustling with life after school hours. Children with bright faces after school chatted happily with each other.
A Hidden Gem: Exploring the Community of Hua Ta Khe
Nestled near the bustling city of Bangkok, Hua Ta Khe offers a unique escape for those seeking a glimpse into local life. This charming community welcomes visitors to explore its streets, capture picturesque moments, and immerse themselves in a tranquil atmosphere. Whether you prefer a leisurely stroll, a scenic bike ride, or simply soaking in the ambiance, Hua Ta Khe promises an unforgettable experience.
Translation:
Don't forget, it only takes a short train ride to get there. It's economical, safe, and avoids traffic jams.
The cost of a One Day Trip is very affordable, but it is not entirely accurate to call it a day trip, as it only lasts a few hours. However, it offers plenty of opportunities to capture beautiful photos and experience charming corners.
At that time, the train was free, so the price would be around this.
**Free round-trip train**
Crispy pork with basil and fried egg, opposite the train station, 45 baht.
A large glass of Coke costs 20 baht.
** Four-way Intersection Crocodile Head Shop
The price of the fruit salad ice cream is 45 baht.
The cost of iced coffee is 60 baht.
It only costs this much. You can go with just a few hundred.
If I went on Saturday and Sunday, I would probably spend more on food. Haha.

While some may disagree, the R umbrella market's safety and hygiene concerns are undeniable. However, it remains an integral part of the community's way of life and a popular tourist attraction. The highlight of the trip was the scenic train ride on the rarely used orange line, passing through unfamiliar stations. The handwritten station signs, a rarity in major stations, added a unique charm to the journey. The sole purpose of the trip was to enjoy a round-trip train ride, and it was a delightful experience.
Four free round-trip train tickets on a brightly colored train that foreigners love so much might be Amazing Thailand for them, but for some Thais, it might not be.
The bustling market in Loei is teeming with foreign tourists. Street vendors, accustomed to the rhythm of the passing trains, deftly open and close their umbrellas in sync with the locomotives.

2. Ban Laem - Mae Klong Train 4383
10:10 AM - 11:00 AM

3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
4. Mahachai - Ban Laem Train 4308
5:35 PM - 6:25 PM
This trip is practically free, with only the cost of transportation to the station. You can take the BTS Skytrain to Wongwian Yai Station, or if you live elsewhere, you can take a bus or taxi as you prefer.
The rest is food expenses. You'll eat anything you come across until you burst. If it's hot, go into a 7-Eleven. I recommend bringing a hat and an umbrella. It's hot, and most importantly, be careful of pickpockets and bag slashers because there are a lot of tourists.
Food expenses: 10 baht for ice cream, 13 baht for kway chap (very delicious), 50 baht for sticky rice with mango (a bit expensive), 30 baht for coconut shake, 50 baht for watermelon shake.
Returning to Mahachai to buy another 3 jars of oysters for 100 baht. Oh my, all spent on food. You can say that if you're a foodie, come on down and shop at both markets, Mahachai and Maeklong.

Let's take a train ride and take some photos near Bangkok. (Back then, we could still ride the train for free.)
"Street Art Ban Pong" in Ratchaburi province. I usually see this station as a passing point. The train stopped, so I tried to get off and walk around.
When artists from various backgrounds collaborate with the community, art is created.
Street Art Ban Pong is a community contemporary art development project in Ban Pong town, 2017.
Ban Pong Urban Art Terminal 2017
Created in collaboration by AT EXCHANCE and BAAN NOORG, this artwork brings art to the community of Ban Pong.
Translation:
The artist didn't hold back, creating a stunning mural that transformed the wall into a captivating work of art. The vibrant colors and intricate details are sure to attract tourists eager to capture the beauty in photographs. With so much to see, it's impossible to take it all in during a single visit, especially on a hot day.
The main points are:
- Old Chalerm Thongkham Cinema (Bangkok Van Queue)
- Ban Pong Municipal Fresh Market
- An old wooden house behind Lim Mui Heng Noodle Shop (Miss Universe Noodle Shop)
Translation: Note: It's hot, so bring a hat and umbrella. You'll enjoy walking around, but if you get tired, there are roadside cafes and stylish cafes where you can sit and enjoy the air conditioning and rest your legs before continuing your search for street art. You can explore in one day.
Transportation for those without a personal vehicle
- Minivan from Bangkok to Ban Pong
- Train, but I recommend the train. It only takes a short time to get there. The same train, number 261, departs from Bangkok to Hua Hin at 9:20 AM.
With a budget of 200-300 baht, you can enjoy a satisfying meal in Ban Pong, especially if you avoid overeating. The town offers a wide variety of delicious food options, making it a must-visit destination for food lovers. Plan a return trip to explore the culinary delights of Ban Pong.
The cost of noodles and water is 42 baht.

As mentioned, every place has its own unique charm. Visiting Photharam in the old market area, which may be overlooked by the younger generation, is a great example.
Yet it is imbued with memorable past and old-fashioned photogenic angles of wooden houses that are hard to find nowadays.
Who is the owner of Photharam? Don't overlook us. Let's go find snacks to eat in a famous shop in Photharam. If anyone is a local, please recommend more places to visit and eat.
This might be helpful for those who want to go as well.
This time, I went to eat black tofu because I didn't know it. I heard that the original recipe is here. It's really delicious. 20 baht per piece. It takes 3 days to cook one piece.
The journey began with a free train ride from Bangkok Station (261) to Hua Hin. However, our destination was not Hua Hin. Instead, we made a stop at Photharam, which took only 2 hours. We arrived in no time.
Hungry upon arrival, you can grab a bowl of noodles for 25 baht at the train station before heading out.
This trip involves walking short distances between nearby locations. The first stop is "Doon Nom," a dessert shop with a suggestive name, where we can enjoy snacks and take photos.
In a vintage-decorated shop, I enjoyed a chocolate lava ice cream and a Thai iced tea for 139 baht.
It is recommended to come here last to rest because there is air conditioning. Hot mocha with bread is only 85 baht. You can sit for a long time.
The people here are friendly and kind. They greet you wherever you go. I hope Photharam will always preserve its historical charm.

Today, we will take a free train ride to see bears in Ratchaburi. Fake bears, not real ones, haha! But before we see the bears, let's stop for some coffee.
Rest your eyes on the lush greenery, sip on a refreshing iced coffee in a hidden paradise that's difficult to access.
Secret Space is a supermarket, restaurant, and cafe all under one roof.
With over 500 rai of space, this is a paradise for foliage lovers. I was so excited to see the cacti that I only took pictures of them.
The vast expanse of cacti before them suggested a number exceeding tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands, reaching into the millions.
In reality, there are many more trees than can be seen on a casual walk. Each tree, including those used to decorate the cafe, was purchased, and their prices vary depending on the species.
Cactus enthusiasts would likely be thrilled, as they could both learn about various succulent species and take some home with them.
Location: 164 Moo 2, Ban Singh Subdistrict, Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province 70120
Traveling by private car, the park is located near The Blooms Orchid Park (Ratchaburi Orchid Park). From Bangkok, take Phetkasem Road, passing Nakhon Pathom and Nong Pho Ratchaburi Dairy Cooperative.
Then, take the bridge over the Bang Pae intersection and continue straight for approximately 4 kilometers. Turn left at the irrigation canal, main kilometer 84+380 meters, also known as the Ban Sing Market.
Then drive straight for about 4 km. Look for the Ratchaburi Power Plant sign and turn right. Continue for 1 km and it will be on your right.

The location is already mysterious, and the entrance is a maze of trees, making it even more confusing. It's tiring to walk around, but it's a strategy to make you tired and then come in to enjoy the air conditioning and buy coffee. Haha.
However, there is a normal entrance, so you don't have to go through the maze.
However, once inside, it's hard to resist the urge to hug and cuddle the teddy bears dressed up to resemble various cities.
Bear Village, Snow Bear, Bear Town Water Market, Labyrinth, Egyptian Bear, Dragon Cave, Waterfall, Vine Cave, Zombie
The park offers mascot costumes for rent, perfect for taking fun photos. Unfortunately, only the bear mascot is currently available for viewing.
On weekdays, the princess and prince's city is open to the public, but there is an additional ticket fee.
The 80 baht entrance fee to Dan Mee is definitely worth it. There are countless photo opportunities, with stunning backdrops everywhere you look. The photos you see here are just a small sample of what's available.
In addition, factory-priced dolls are available, and there is a DIY corner where you can learn how to make dolls.
Not only did the children scream, but the adults did too. However, it was a good thing that we went on a weekday, as I think it would have been very noisy with children on a weekend.
Renting a motorbike taxi for the whole day is a convenient option for those without personal transportation.
Train travel
The outbound journey will be on the free train number 261 from Bangkok to Hua Hin. The train departs at 9:20 AM and arrives at 11:23 AM. When approaching Photharam Station, please be sure to disembark, as the train will continue on.
Return Trip: Free Train Service
The return trip will be on the free train, number 262, departing from Photharam at 4:20 PM and arriving in Bangkok at 7:00 PM.
Without a private car, you can walk to the front of Wat Photharam or near the train station to hail a motorcycle taxi. If they are waiting, you can hire them for the whole day for 300 baht.
Initially, I thought it was expensive, considering the distance. It was quite a long way, and we made them wait for us to take photos, sightsee, and have coffee.
The motorcycle taxi driver initially informed me that the destination was far away and questioned whether I still wanted to go. I replied that it was alright and that I would rent his motorcycle instead.
The man laughed and immediately started the car, chatting non-stop. We asked him about the road ahead and what attractions were nearby.
The uncle chatted non-stop, pointing at birds, trees, and roads. He invited the passenger to join the conversation, mentioning that only a few motorcycle taxi drivers knew about this coffee shop. He had once dropped someone off there and remembered it.
Next time, if you bring more friends, you can call me and I'll bring a bigger car. There are a lot of people. Oh! There's a big car. My uncle said it's hot to take a motorcycle taxi.
"Don't worry, I'm just a little sunburnt. Haha."
Uncle Win gave us his phone number. We asked for it in case he was not around when we went to take photos, or if he had to run errands. He said he would just wait for us, as he had nothing else to do.
To avoid wasting time going back and forth, I thought it would be better to rent your car for the whole day. Please give me your phone number. Your name is Uncle Narong Yodkaew, 089-2035934.
He saw the man's name tag. "Oh! Are you a civil servant?" The man replied that he used to be an assistant village headman, but he retired and now drives a motorcycle taxi.
The damage is only 500, so it's still usable.
Round-trip free train
The cost of noodles near the train station is 40 baht. As soon as I got off the train, I was hungry.
The 55 baht coffee at the cafe wasn't very tasty, haha.
Entrance fee to Suntree Land, the land of the little bears, is 80 baht.
The cost of a motorcycle taxi is 300 baht.

Many people have been there before, but today we went as the Seven Little Maidens Waterfall, the first national park in the reign of King Rama X.
Isn't it a national park for a long time?
It was originally a forest park, but now it is a national park, which means it is a state-owned area.
And it is considered the 129th national park in Thailand.
Translation:
The beach hasn't changed much, but there are definitely more staff patrolling to prevent drowning and the waste management has become stricter.
However, it ultimately depends on the tourists' own sense of responsibility.
Looking for a relaxing getaway near Bangkok with a budget-friendly round trip and the chance to dip your toes in the water? This is the perfect summer escape.
The original text is in Thai and describes a situation where the speaker intended to visit a coffee shop called "Roong See Coffee" but ended up at a waterfall instead.
Here is a possible translation in English:
We initially planned to visit Roong See Coffee for a cup of coffee, but somehow ended up at a waterfall.
The journey was taken on a third-class train from Bangkok at 6:40 AM, costing 50 baht and taking 3 hours. (I was confused when I checked the price with the call center later, it was 40 baht.)
Wait for the red songthaew or local bus, Kaeng Khoi-Muek Lek-Sap Saonoi Waterfall route, 30 baht one way, 60 baht round trip.
The train back to Bangkok is free. The departure time is 6:13 PM. The total cost of the trip is 110 baht. The remaining amount will be used for snacks.
We almost spent 200 baht at the coffee shop, which was a bit much for us.
Roong See Cafe, a cafe converted from a rice mill, boasts a chic atmosphere and is conveniently located 700 meters from Kaeng Khoi Junction Railway Station. To reach the cafe, exit the station and walk to the intersection. Turn left if coming from Wat Kaeng Khoi (or right if coming from the opposite direction) and follow the GPS coordinates.
Bring an umbrella, it's very sunny.

And at that time, I missed the train. So, if anyone has any tips on how to avoid missing the train, please share them. As I will explain below.
What to do if you miss the sightseeing train?
Having encountered problems, we have become aware of them and sought solutions. The methods vary, but let me tell you about them.
A trip from several years ago, but posted as a reminder because I haven't been able to go alone yet. I don't really have time. When I get to go alone, I'll tell you again. This trip was special because it was the first time in many years that I had been on a train. We rode it when we were adults.
Recalling the thrilling experience of falling off the train. 55555 From the dream of a relaxing train ride, it turned into an unexpected trip, so we call it the "Girl Chasing Train" trip. 55555
At that time, I went with four friends who fell off the train. All of them were colleagues from my previous job. We hadn't taken the train together for many years. When we finally did, we fell off the train.
Translation:
Early morning departure at 6:30 AM, on the dot! This excessive punctuality led us to miss the train, as we had to wait for everyone to arrive. Even a single minute's delay was unacceptable. Time is truly precious.
This story features a total of four characters.
Brother Bo - Blue Shirt
Little Bee - Blue and White Shirt
Little Pui - Red Shirt
Interestingly, despite not having planned our outfits beforehand, all four of us ended up wearing shades of blue, white, black, and red.
The train arrived in Bangkok before the two gibbons, Bo and Pheng, could board. They missed the train! They asked the staff what to do, and were directed to the motorcycle taxis. It seemed like a well-established business, with the drivers waiting eagerly, as if they knew that someone would miss the train every week.
Let's go, Brother Suchart!!! We rode a motorbike to wait at Bang Bamru Station. At first, we didn't know anything, we thought it was near, but it was so far. Brother Bo, Sister Phong, Sister Pui, they rode a motorbike early in the cold morning. As for Sister Bone, she rode a motorbike with her boyfriend. But wait, it's not over yet. When we arrived at Bang Bamru Railway Station, there were only 2 of us. Oh! Where's Pui? The train is coming. Unlucky in unlucky, we got separated. Worse, the budget is out of control. The taxi fare is 300 baht. I cried so hard!! Everyone is out of control, going too far.
The two individuals who won the campaign and boarded the train first were P'Bo and N'Pheng. They talked on the phone the whole way, keeping each other updated on their progress. However, there was a catch: neither of them had a train ticket. They exchanged bewildered glances as the conductor approached to check tickets. With a sheepish grin, they explained that their friend had missed the train and was holding their tickets. The conductor's response remains unknown.
The officers allowed us to take a scenic train ride to Nakhon Pathom. We hurriedly took photos together, constantly checking on our friends who were still on their way. Meanwhile, Bo's girlfriend arrived on her motorbike, and Pui also reached Nakhon Pathom, but they were still behind schedule. Bo and Pheng anxiously waited until the train reached the bridge over the River Kwai. Before that, we encountered someone Pheng knew on the train, which gave us a chance to observe the train drivers in action. However, we were not allowed to take pictures. It was exciting to see the drivers, but we were also worried if our friends would make it on time. Unfortunately, they didn't.
I feel sorry for the two younger siblings who followed. It was very cold in the morning, but the younger sibling Bo sat on a motorcycle with the wind blowing hard. The younger sibling Pui was also confused and had to find a way to get there. Both were excited and screamed when they met.
What's next after taking the photo? Oh my god, we missed the train again, four of us this time. We're all here, we're not afraid, we can pay, we won't miss this train. Let's take a car to chase the train.
After crossing the bridge over the River Kwai, I walked to the main road, hoping to hitch a ride from a local. However, there were no cars passing by. I asked some nearby residents, and they told me that there was a local bus going to the waterfall (I don't remember the price).
What should I do? I missed the sightseeing train.
1. Punctuality is crucial for tour groups, as missing the train, like our case (haha), will result in no refunds. Once you miss it, you miss it.
2. To avoid overspending, consider abandoning your pre-purchased tickets and returning home separately.
3. If dignity comes first and you refuse to take the train, then use our method 55555. People fall almost every week. We are confident! Public transportation can accommodate it, but you have to be happy with the budget that will go over.
4. If you miss the morning train, there are other attractions you can visit by taking a later train. Replan your itinerary and wait at the station to visit another destination.
5. Can't decide where to go after getting off the train? Check out this page for tons of reviews! "Traveling Solo" - perfect for those who want to explore on their own. #sponsored
To avoid missing the train, punctuality is key. Since then, I have never missed a train. Lately, I have started traveling alone and have become much better at estimating time. However, there have been many times when I have had to run with my ears flapping and eyes wide open to catch the train because I almost "missed the train" haha.

"Pa Sak Cholasit Dam Sightseeing Train"
Travel by train number 921
Fan car Price 270 baht
Tickets can be booked on Saturdays and Sundays.
Schedules and fares are subject to change. Please inquire at 1690.
When a person who enjoys traveling alone has to travel with others, the Pa Sak Cholasit Dam sightseeing train offers a unique experience.
Many others have already reviewed the travel experience, so I won't go into detail about that. However, the most important thing to consider is the ticket. If you manage to secure a ticket, consider yourself lucky, as they are notoriously difficult to obtain.
Sold out quickly, book now for a once-a-year event.
Many reviewers have complained about the crowds, saying it's difficult to take photos without other people in the frame. This time, I decided to embrace the crowds and take photos of the people themselves. If anyone's photo appears in my pictures, please let me know and I'll be happy to get your permission.
If you don't like the photos I posted, you can ask me to delete them. But I think I've chosen the photos that make everyone look good and hip.
The photos we share are in our own style, capturing people and trains from our unique perspective. We use our mobile phones and edit the photos with VSCOCAM.
I have previously visited Kanchanaburi and the Suan Son Pradipat Park on a sightseeing train. This is my first time experiencing the floating train.
One crucial aspect of traveling by tourist train is to manage expectations. This applies to aspects such as timetables, service quality, and overall travel experience. It is essential to approach the journey with an open mind and embrace the spontaneity of the experience.
On the morning of January 28, 2017, I woke up late and rushed to catch the 7:10 am train. I arrived at the station out of breath, with my hair standing on end and my eyebrows furrowed like a Shaolin monk. To my surprise, the train was delayed by 15 minutes.
I'm putting on makeup because there are a lot of men around. I'm worried they'll be shocked if they see me without it.
The train picks up passengers at each station and provides a document outlining the day's activities. Follow the document, view the train parked in the middle of the dam and take photos, eat, explore, shop, and take the train back. This is a rough outline, but there are some important details that should not be overlooked, which I would like to recommend.
The weather is extremely hot.
This route is relatively arid, and the trees along the way are not very green. What you need to prepare! And should have is a long-sleeved shirt, an umbrella, a hat, sunglasses, a scarf, aromatic medicine, wind medicine, or a mouth cover when riding the train because there will be both dust and leaves flying in. You don't need to dress up too much or wear high heels. Dress casually and comfortably because you may have to climb up and down while the train stops to take pictures in the middle of the dam.
Lunch break
If possible, don't hesitate. Choose quickly, think, and make a decision. Choose a restaurant because there are a lot of people. This trip, even though we took the train, when we went to eat, there were tourists who came in their own cars with their families. It wasn't just us, you know. We rushed to the chicken rice stall first. Even though it was just a single dish, the wait was very long.
How to ride a sightseeing tram
Translation:
If you eat rice for a long time and walk outside for a long time, there is a 100% chance that you will not be able to catch the tram to see the dam.
To ensure a smooth journey, it is recommended to eat before boarding the train to avoid excessive hunger. Alternatively, passengers can purchase tickets and board the train first, then eat on board. It is important to note that strong-smelling food should be avoided to prevent discomfort to other passengers. Passengers may also choose to eat after disembarking from the train.
We arrived just in time for the last round and went alone, so it was convenient to buy tickets at the same time. The staff kept announcing how many rounds were left for those who came by train and how many people were left because the last round was at 1:30 PM. The round trip on the train to see the dam takes 50 minutes, which would make us miss the 3:00 PM train. We had to believe the staff, as they had calculated that we wouldn't make it. Others were a little disappointed after the staff announced that we wouldn't make it. Some looked for a place to eat, but the wait was long because there were a lot of people, a lot of orders, and maybe because they came in large groups. As I said, it wasn't just people who came by train; there were others who came as families. One person stood in line, but they bought 5-10 tickets. So the tram tickets sold out very quickly.
I overheard someone waiting for the tram say that
Translation:
B1: It's a shame for those who came with the train. They couldn't go because they had to make time. If we had given up our five seats earlier, they might have been able to go.
B2: While that may be true, we also waited in line for a long time to purchase tickets. Perhaps it's not entirely our fault.
After listening to the explanation, I realized the truth in his words. If I hadn't attended this session, I would have had to come back again later. There's no room for complaints.
If you don't take the tram to see the dam,
Translation:
There are museums, photo spots, product displays, OTOP (One Tambon One Product) corners, and handicraft workshops where you can watch demonstrations. However, the main highlight for most visitors is the tram ride. Tickets are only 25 baht, so as I mentioned earlier, be sure to buy your tickets as soon as you get off the train. Don't waste any time! Although it may be hot, the wind blows pleasantly while you're on the tram, making for a very enjoyable experience. Young tour guides will provide commentary throughout the journey, explaining the different places you pass by. Once you arrive, just sit back and enjoy the ride!
Caution!!
Many people like to hold their phones out of the train window. The train is running very fast, the wind is blowing, and the phone may fall. It is best to find a case that can also be worn around the neck to prevent accidents. Not only on the train, but also on the dam where you like to stand near the water, be careful not to fall. Both people and phones fall. People falling is not a big deal. There are staff members on patrol boats looking for love below, waiting to pick us up when we fall into the water. But cameras, mobile phones, or 10-carat diamond rings are not responsible, you know.
No need to fear loneliness when traveling solo.
Translation:
There were many people around, and we wanted to talk to them or they wanted to talk to us. Anyone could take pictures for us, and people were happy to do so because everyone had the same goal: to take pictures with the train. Some people even talked to us just because they saw we were alone and invited us to join their table, share snacks, and walk around with them. There was no time to be lonely, as it was a very fast-paced one-day trip. It was a different kind of fun, and it was nice to be around so many people for a change.
When will the tickets go on sale? For more information, please call the State Railway of Thailand's call center at 1690.

Roundtrip air-conditioned car for 240 baht

Many people have written reviews about their travels to various places, taking beautiful photos, especially group photos and couple photos. It's really enviable. But what about single people like us who don't have anyone to take photos for us? Today, I want to encourage single people with a small budget who want to travel and have solo photos. I took hundreds of solo photos, but I gradually deleted many of them because some of them were missing heads or legs.
For those who want to try traveling by train but don't know where to start, trying a sightseeing train is not a bad idea. This trip was a long time ago, but I would like to tell you about it again, in case it can be a guideline for many people to start traveling by train.
This train journey was on the 911 Bangkok-Suan Son Pradipat tourist train. This tourist train has both air-conditioned (240 baht) and fan (120 baht) options. If you're not too concerned with comfort, I recommend choosing the fan option. It's cheaper and gives you a more authentic train experience. You can check seat availability beforehand by calling the State Railway of Thailand Call Center at 1690.
On the morning of the trip, I arrived at Bangkok Station around 5:30 AM. The train was scheduled to depart at 6:30 AM. To be safe, I checked where I needed to board the train first. With some time to spare, I went to the bathroom and grabbed something to eat. The train departed on time, so there was no room for delay or procrastination. Missing the train was not an option!
Throughout the journey, there will be staff to provide services such as cleaning the floor, holding bags to collect garbage, and most importantly, providing information and notifying the time to get on and off the train during this trip. Because time is very important, if you are not careful, you will not be able to catch the train. This also makes us more punctual. The staff took very good care of us, as announced. Here are some rough details: the train will depart at...
From Bangkok at 6:30 AM to Nakhon Pathom at 7:40 AM. Departing Nakhon Pathom at 8:20 AM.
Translation:
Point 1: Cha-am. On the return trip, we will depart Cha-am at 3:58 PM.
Point 2: Hua Hin Beach (need to take a car after getting off the train). The return trip will depart from Hua Hin at 3:39 PM.
Point 3: Suan Son Pradipat Beach (next to the station)
Departure: 3:30 PM. This is the final departure from Suan Son. There will be no further trains. If you miss this train, you will be stranded.
Note: This stop is primarily for sightseeing. Passengers are allowed to disembark and explore the area before the train departs again.
Returning: The train will return to pick up passengers. However, it is crucial to be on time for the return trip.
Tip: Passengers can order souvenirs with the staff, who will bring them back on the train.
We ordered three dishes: Ratchaburi noodles, Phetchaburi sweet potato stew, and Hua Hin catfish curry.
Translation:
Upon arrival in Nakhon Pathom at 7:40 AM, disembark to pay respects at the Buddha statue and return to the train promptly by 8:20 AM. The statue is vast, so it is advisable to offer prayers and return quickly. Avoid walking around the statue, as you may get lost and miss your train. This is the most common spot for passengers to miss their train, and there are no subsequent services. You will be left with nothing but sticky rice to take home (as per the official announcement, haha!).
I opted not to enter the temple to pay respects as it was crowded. Instead, I stood outside with my hands clasped in prayer. I still had a long walk to the train station. Afterwards, I had breakfast at a stall selling pork rib porridge. The vendor was very kind and bowed deeply after I paid. I also bought some grilled chicken in case I got hungry on the way, as hunger can affect my mood. Eating is a big deal! With 10 minutes to spare, I stopped by a convenience store, which was also crowded. I almost missed my train.
Run, Ae, run! Run!!!
Upon arriving at Suan Son Beach, we were free to relax and explore at our leisure. We split up to take photos, play in the water, and rent beach chairs for 20 baht each. However, we opted to walk along the beach instead of sitting down, as we knew that if we sat down for too long, we would fall asleep and miss our train. With the cool breeze and the beautiful scenery, it was easy to doze off. We decided to keep walking and take photos until it was time to wait for the train. Oh, and the restrooms at Tiu Son Restaurant were exceptionally clean, spacious, and free to use.
"Informative corner" is a direct copy.
Suan Son Pradipat
Located in Ban Nong Kae, Nong Kae Subdistrict, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, under the responsibility of the Infantry Center, the area covers a total of 1,065 rai, 1 ngan, 86 square wa. The front faces Phetkasem Road, located on the Suan Son Pradipat Beach, approximately 190 km from Bangkok. It is a beautiful beach that still retains its natural beauty. The charm of Suan Son Pradipat Beach from the experience is the peacefulness, shade throughout the area, rows of Pradipat pine trees, the beach looks beautifully curved, clean white sand, shallow sea level, suitable for swimming.
The beach is well-equipped with amenities, including freshwater showers, restrooms, sunbeds, mats, inflatable rings, and restaurants. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own food and cooking equipment, but cleanliness must be maintained. Safety is not a concern, as the beach is under military supervision.
Travel
- By private car from Bangkok, head south through Phetchaburi Province to Cha-am District and Hua Hin District. From Hua Hin, approximately 9 kilometers on the left-hand side, turn the car in a little and you will arrive.
- Take a bus from the Southern Bus Terminal, Bangkok-Hua Hin-Pran Buri route. The bus will pass in front of Saensuk Prasat Park.
- The journey by train will have Suan Son Station located within the Suan Son Pradipat area. Just like this, you will arrive at the Army Recuperation and Recreation Center (Suan Son Pradipat).
One of the most captivating aspects of solo travel is the opportunity to encounter diverse individuals along the way.
We never know who we will encounter, whether they are kind or unkind, especially when riding a train with four seats facing each other and sitting across from a "stranger".
With a pounding heart, I boarded the bus, praying that I wouldn't be seated next to a creepy man, a scary woman, an annoying auntie, or a noisy child. The thought of accidentally falling asleep and having my belongings stolen kept me on edge, unable to truly rest.
This trip is a nightmare. I'm surrounded by screaming children and their exhausted parents. The family sitting across from me has been staring at me the entire time. I can't wait to get off this train.
May I initiate the conversation with "Do you often take the train?"
The answer is "This is my first time sitting here. I want to bring the children here so that I can tell my teacher and friends at school about it."
We chatted idly for most of the journey, drifting in and out of sleep. The young child was restless, occasionally tripping over our feet. The parents were delightful, constantly reminding their child to be respectful of others.
Traveling alone, the most important thing is your mouth. If you don't ask for directions, if you don't know how to initiate a conversation, you will never get anything from the people around you.
Have a wonderful trip!
