Seoul Adventure: Exploring the City on Foot
This trip to Seoul was all about embracing the city on foot. We wanted to soak in the unique atmosphere and discover hidden gems, so we opted for an exploration-focused approach.
Walking became our primary mode of transportation, allowing us to stumble upon unexpected sights and capture spontaneous moments along the way. While pinpointing the exact locations of some of these discoveries might be challenging, the journey itself was an enriching experience.
Sightseeing is divided into zones:
- Auguk District: This district boasts fascinating landmarks and palatial architecture. It houses the popular Bukchon Hanok Village, a favorite spot for photography enthusiasts. Additionally, the area offers a plethora of shops, including food stalls, clothing stores, and cafes. I was particularly impressed by this district.
* Ehwa district: This is another university district with a vibrant entertainment scene, numerous shops, and a large population of young people. The area is known for its trendy, youthful atmosphere and its popularity among Korean fashion enthusiasts. The sheer size of the district is impressive, and it's a popular spot for taking photos. Note: There are many Thai people in this area.
Hoegi District: This upscale district is a haven for young, affluent individuals. The streets are lined with luxury cars, reminiscent of scenes from popular Korean dramas. The prestigious Ehwa University, with its grand and fairytale-like architecture, adds to the district's allure.
* **Dongdaemun** district: This is another favorite area, with the DDP, and a plethora of shopping, food, and dining options.
* **World Cup** district: This is a natural area that we like. It's very relaxing, but it may require a lot of walking. However, when you come up from this station, there is a very large shopping mall with cheap and good food. I'm still excited about it.
There are many other areas. You can see more here.
