This journey is a trip to the destination of Baan Rabeang Dao.
On this trip, we traveled together, a total of 3 people, by train. I had already traveled in advance, and my friends followed by train, starting from Hua Lamphong.
The train departs from Hua Lamphong at 10pm and arrives at its destination at 12:10am. Passengers are advised to arrive at Hua Lamphong before 10pm.
We opted for the cheapest option, the 3rd class train, which cost 271 baht.
The scenery continuously changed as we traveled.
Who would have thought? The train arrived right on time at 12:10. Haha!
From the Chiang Mai train station, take a red songthaew (shared taxi) to Chang Phuak bus terminal. The fare should be no more than 40 baht per person. If it's more expensive, don't get on! The journey takes less than 15 minutes.
At the terminal, purchase a bus ticket to Tha Ton for 40 baht per person. Buses depart every 30 minutes.
With ample time, explore the city center on foot, visiting both temples and Tha Pae Gate, all conveniently located nearby.
This is the car we will be taking. It departs from Tha Chang Phuak Pier and takes approximately 2 hours to reach Chiang Dao Station.
Upon arrival at Chiang Dao Station, please call the red truck driver in advance. There are no regular red trucks passing by, so if you miss it, you will need to hire a private car. If you call the driver, the fare is 60 baht per person, and they will take you to your destination. The driver's phone number is 0931311361.
The journey from Chiang Dao Station to Baan Rabeang Dao takes approximately half an hour. This is a view along the way to Baan Rabeang Dao.
This is Doi Luang Chiang Dao, we took a picture from Baan Rabien Dao. The price per person at Baan Rabien Dao is 600 baht, including two meals: dinner and breakfast.
Let's start with a drink.
The day I visited was a weekday, and there were very few people. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet.
This is the front porch area of Baan Rai Dao, where you can bring your own food and drinks. The chair here is a landmark of the place, with a black glue view of Doi Luang.
This is the dinner that Baan Rabeang Dao has prepared for us. It looks delicious.
When darkness falls, millions of stars become clearly visible.
And this is the morning view. The resort will deliver a pot of rice porridge to our doorstep.
View from the hotel room.
As the sun began to rise, the fog gradually cleared.
Let's summarize the travel expenses to get here (one way):
- Train from Hua Lamphong to Chiang Mai = 271 baht per person
