The Forgotten Path: Exploring Doi Pui's Hidden Trail to Doi Huamu
With Chiang Mai sweltering under the summer sun, seeking refuge in the cool embrace of the forest became an urgent necessity. After scouring online forums for inspiration, we stumbled upon a forgotten gem: the Doi Pui Nature Trail, leading to the enigmatic Doi Huamu.
After marking our location on the map, we looked around for our companions and found three more people to join our trip. We set off at 5:30 AM.
We met at the front of Chiang Mai University at 5:30 AM. Four humans and two motorcycles set off on our journey. Along the way, we saw people cycling and running up the mountain. The morning air was very refreshing. We rode our motorcycles, passing Doi Suthep and Phuping Palace, until we arrived at our destination…

On the left side of the entrance, there will be a large sign like this and an abandoned fort in front. Before entering, do some research and then start your journey.
The entrance looks like this. The path there and back is the same. Walk along the concrete road for about 40 minutes (including time to take photos) to reach the Doi Huamu viewpoint.
We are almost there! After this point, there will be a pavilion for us to rest. If we continue walking straight, we will reach the Doi Huamu viewpoint.
At this point, you will start to see the view on both sides of the road. The fog is full. It is very worthwhile to wake up early.
We have always believed that every journey, the fatigue will not stay with us for long, but the memories will stay with us forever.
