Bang Krachao is now well-known.
Have you ever been there?
Today, I will take you there.
There are flower gardens for taking pictures during this period.
Bang Krachao = Bangkok's Lung
Looking at the map, this place is clearly a green area of Bangkok, like the lungs of Bangkok. The atmosphere is really good, so try visiting it.
Today's Plan:
Morning:
- Depart from Bang Na Nok Pier
- Cross the Chao Phraya River to Bang Krachao
- Rent bicycles
Afternoon:
- Visit the Siam Fighting Fish Gallery
- Explore the Bang Krachao Botanical Garden
- Climb the Bird Watching Tower
- Visit Wat Bang Chao Klang (Flower Garden)
Journey to Bang Na
I arrived at Bang Na pier around 9:30 AM. Despite the large crowd, I managed to find a parking spot. It's a good idea to arrive early to avoid traffic congestion.
This pier allows motorcycles to cross, which is convenient. However, I opted to drive as the distance from my accommodation was too far.
The boat is equipped with handrails for support, as well as orange flotation devices that appear to be intended for use in the event of someone falling overboard. Overall, the boat appears to be safe.
The seat is empty. There's nothing there. It's in the sun.
The text describes a toll collection point located near Wat Bang Nam Phueng Nok temple. The toll is 4 baht per person, and there are separate lanes for pedestrians and motorcycles.
Upon arrival, I wasted no time in finding a bicycle to rent. I didn't think much and just went with the first shop I saw, which was Odd Doo Coke. It cost 50 baht and included water and a cold towel. However, if you walk a little further to the right, there's another shop with similar prices but more bikes available. It's up to you, as your butt will start to hurt after cycling for a while anyway. Haha!
To rent a bike, you need to exchange your ID card. You pay later after your ride. I picked up my water and cold towel when I returned the bike. Remember to note down the number of your bike when you return it.
Cold towels are a lifesaver in this heat. It's so hot, I even brought perfume to spray on myself. Trust me...
The cycling atmosphere is fantastic, with numerous photo opportunities along the route.
This area seems to require all houses to be built on stilts, resting above the water. Pretty cool.
First Stop: The Siamese Fighting Fish Museum
This museum offers free entry and showcases a variety of betta fish breeds. It's a great place for enthusiasts, and even if you're not particularly interested in fish, you can enjoy a cup of coffee while you're there. However, I didn't stay long, as I only had a limited amount of time.
Second Destination: Botanical Garden
This is the garden where people take aerial photos from the bird-watching tower, capturing the playful antics of the gibbons. The entrance might be a bit tricky to find, but look for a large temple-like gate. Bicycles are allowed free entry.
The weather is excellent, and the surroundings are incredibly lush.
Passing through... Bang Krachao Temple
The flowers are in full bloom right now. Please don't step on them.
It is said that if you cycle along the canal, you can take shortcuts to get to each place more quickly. However, I have never tried it myself.
This place actually has quite a few main attractions, I've listed them down in case you want to drop by. As for me, this is enough for now.
- Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market
- Bangkok Tree House
- Found love at Bang Nam Phueng
