Hello! This is my first review trip, as I just went there a few days ago. I'm still excited and eager to write about it. The main purpose of my trip to Phuket was to visit Koh Mai Thon, and the other places were just amazing bonuses.
After deciding on Koh Mai Thon, we started booking our flights and trip. We chose a One Day Trip with Love Andaman because of their reputation among celebrities, superstars, and travel bloggers. This time, we opted for a Love Andaman tour.
Day 1 -----> In Phuket
We started exploring Phuket in the late afternoon, as we had to wait for my sister to finish work. Therefore, we couldn't see much.
We began by taking photos at the "PHUKET GLASSPLATES MUSEUM"
https://www.facebook.com/Phuketglassplatesmuseum/
Upon entering, you will be provided with a chip card to access the room for taking photos.
The cafe's interior is beautiful, serene, with good lighting and ambiance.
A cool and classic photo angle, reminiscent of the actor Sean Jindachot.
After that, we drove around the old city and stopped to take pictures near the yellow building.
Finally, we ended our day at Khao Rang Viewpoint, where we stood and enjoyed the breeze and the view of Phuket for a while.
The cool wind on our faces and the sight of the city lights at night were simple pleasures that brought us a sense of contentment.
On Day 2, we embarked on a one-day trip to Ko Mai Thon with Love Andaman. During the low season, the trip costs approximately 2,300 baht, while the regular price is around 2,900 baht. For more information on other programs, please visit their website at https://www.loveandaman.com/ or their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/loveandaman/. You can contact them through any of these channels for your convenience.
We woke up early at 6:00 AM to get ready, as the van was scheduled to pick us up at our village at 8:30 AM. We headed to the Pa Sang Pier to board a boat to Ko Mai Thon. Upon arrival, we were asked to sign in and receive a wristband. Once we reached the island, we were given another wristband with an embedded chip.
The dock area offers seating for waiting passengers, along with snacks such as bread, rice porridge, cookies, and fruit juice. The excitement of the day made it difficult to eat much. It was a day of intense anticipation, pushing our luck to the limit, wondering if it would rain. But in the end, the skies were clear, and we were more excited than if we had won the lottery.
After all the tourists had arrived, we boarded the boat to Koh Mai Thon. The boat that took us today was a speedboat called "Chaoluminus 1", which can accommodate 30 people. The journey took about 15-20 minutes, which was very fast. You won't have time to get seasick.
And here we are! Wow, it's so beautiful! The water is so clear that you can see the fish. It really lives up to its reputation.
We waited for the other tourists to walk onto the island before taking photos on the beautiful wooden bridge. This allowed us to take large group photos without obstruction.
After taking some photos, we headed to the table prepared by the tour guide, where another delicious meal awaited us.
After spending some time taking photos and enjoying the view, around 11:00 AM, visitors have the option to ascend to the viewpoint. The viewpoint features a shrine dedicated to the island's guardian deity, as well as various photo opportunities.
Around 11:50 AM, we were escorted back downstairs for lunch. The wait was worth it, as the food here is delicious across the board. The highlight, however, was the seafood dipping sauce, which was absolutely phenomenal. I was tempted to ask for a bottle to take home. The seafood is presented on platters, so all you have to do is grab, eat, and refill. You can refill as much as your stomach can handle. Drinks are also available to order as desired.
The afternoon is dedicated to snorkeling and coral reef exploration. The tour operator provides excellent care, with staff closely monitoring non-swimmers. Before diving into the sea, those unfamiliar with snorkels will receive instruction on their use. Alternatively, they can practice in the swimming pool beforehand.
Those who don't want to dive in the sea can relax at their leisure. As for me, I'm sacrificing myself by taking pictures on the shore.
After snorkeling, don't worry about being pickled. They will provide an outdoor shower for us to wash ourselves, and there are clean and convenient bathrooms inside. After washing ourselves, we will be served with a refreshing coconut ice cream before returning. They will call us to board the boat at around 4:00 PM, marking the end of the wonderful trip.
*** Finally, for many people who have questions in their minds, is it really good to go with Love Andaman's tour? Is it worth the money? : At first, I admit that I had these questions in my mind as well. But I have to say that I was very impressed from the moment I arrived at the pier. The staff was very welcoming from the beginning to the end, smiling throughout the trip. No matter how many photos you ask them to take, they will do it with all their heart. They even teach you how to pose, arrange your posture, and look at the light. They are so lovely! We know that they are really serving us with their hearts. We believe that everyone will end the trip with a smile on their faces that day, and we guarantee that Love Andaman will get our money again next time! ^^"
And to end the day, we had seafood at the restaurant "Hoy Pai Daeng", which is another famous restaurant in Phuket.
Phuket's Culinary Delights: A Dim Sum Adventure
Our journey begins in the vibrant city of Phuket, renowned for its delectable cuisine. While our initial destination, a renowned dim sum restaurant, remained closed, we stumbled upon a hidden gem: "Saphankha Coffee SR Taediaem."
This charming establishment boasts an extensive dim sum selection, allowing us to indulge in a delightful array of flavors. From savory dumplings to delicate steamed buns, each dish tantalized our taste buds. The accompanying sauces, with their mild spice, perfectly complemented the flavors, catering to a wider audience.
Beyond the dim sum, "Saphankha Coffee SR Taediaem" offers a variety of other culinary delights. Crispy fried treats, hearty congee, and aromatic coffee cater to diverse palates. This culinary adventure highlights the richness and diversity of Phuket's culinary scene, offering a glimpse into the city's vibrant food culture.
After a delicious meal, we set off to explore the city. Our next stop was
"Promthep Cape"
Another highlight of Phuket, but the sky was not on our side on the day we went. It was full of white clouds, the weather was gloomy, and the wind was very strong. Plus, we encountered a gang of Chinese people in every corner of the area. It is recommended to come in the evening. Watching the sunset would probably be beautiful.
Our next stop is the "Windmill Viewpoint", located near Laem Phromthep.
We then drove along the beach, where the waves were quite strong. If the weather on the day we went to Ko Mai Thon was like this, our trip would have been canceled, and we would have been stuck at home. Fortunately, we still had some good karma left. 5555+ After that, we went to have lunch at "Kan Eang @Pier".
https://www.facebook.com/kaneangatpier/
The view was amazing. It's a beachfront restaurant with a view of the pier and Ko Lon. After lunch, we walked to take pictures on the pier.

The first menu item is a seafood salad with a perfectly balanced sweet and sour flavor that is not overly spicy.
Menu 2: Some kind of duck (can't remember the name), but it was delicious! The meat was so tender.
Menu 3: Clear soup, a basic dish that still retains its deliciousness.
The fourth dish is crab curry with betel leaves. The restaurant's signature dish is actually crab curry with coconut shoots, but I wanted to try it with betel leaves. In central Thailand, this dish is usually served with rice noodles, but here it is served with rice vermicelli. If you're in Phuket, be sure to try this dish.
The final menu, the best of the best here, is the **shrimp paste with shrimp skewers**, which is absolutely amazing. It is a must-try dish when visiting Phuket. It is truly delicious.
After finishing our savory meal, we searched for a dessert shop to cleanse our palates. Our initial destination was Torry's Ice Cream Boutique, but the queue was extensive, with a waiting time of 14 groups. Consequently, we decided to take a stroll around the old town area.
After enduring the fatigue, I went to rest at the "Bookstore 2521 [Naung (Sue) 2521]"
https://www.facebook.com/bookhemian/
The Old Phuket Coffee "Coffee Station" is a coffee shop decorated with cool and raw antique items.
We returned to "Torry's Ice Cream Boutique", but we missed our turn. Luckily, the staff remembered us and gave us the next available slot.
https://www.facebook.com/torrysicecream/
Torry's is an ice cream shop that offers unique Phuket flavors, using 100% natural ingredients. The shop combines ice cream with local Phuket desserts, creating a truly authentic Phuket dessert experience.
And now, the pride of the shop: the display case of royal ice cream scoops.
The restaurant's decor is a standout feature, with traditional Thai elements seamlessly integrated into the old Sino-Portuguese style building. All dishes are served on intricately patterned porcelain or brass plates.
Our first recommendation is the Phuket Treasure, a selection of local Phuket desserts served with honey graham ice cream.
The second menu item is **O-Aew**, a clear, soft, and sweet jelly served with red beans and O-Aew sorbet ice cream.
Menu 3 Bi-co-moi (yes, that's really what they call it) is black sticky rice topped with coconut milk, served with butterfly pea flower ice cream.
The fourth and final menu item is Ruammit ice cream & Lodchong, which is a refreshing combination of lodchong (a Thai dessert made with rice flour and coconut milk) served with a scoop of mixed-flavor ice cream.
In addition to its renowned ice cream, this establishment is also famous for its tea, specifically from the brand
- MALOU Tea Atelier -
The tea we have chosen to try today is rose tea, which is very fragrant and does not contain any caffeine.
After finishing our meal, we truly appreciate the effort it took for everyone to come here. As soon as we stepped into the restaurant, everything was perfect, both the service and the food. No matter how busy and crowded it was, everyone still welcomed us warmly. Ms. Tory, the owner of the restaurant, also personally prepared and served the food. At this point, it's clear why this place is so famous. Everyone wants to come here because they tell the story of Thailand and the unique identity of Phuket through their food in a truly impressive way.
Day 4 -----> Last day in Phuket
Today, we ended our breakfast in Phuket with another dim sum menu. Today we will eat at the restaurant
"Ket-Ho Dimsum Phuket"
https://www.facebook.com/kethodimsum/
When we arrived, there were quite a lot of people, so we had to wait in line for a while. This restaurant has less dim sum to choose from than the first one, but the taste is no different. The dipping sauce at this restaurant is a bit spicier than the first one.
After our bellies were full, we headed to "Mai Khao Beach" to take pictures with the planes. On the way to Wat Mai Khao, we came across a 7-Eleven at a three-way intersection. Turn right into Soi 6, where you will find a pick-up point for the beach and a parking lot for only 20 baht per person.
The waves were quite strong on the day we went, the sky was overcast but there was no rain. The weather was not bright, and during the monsoon season, there are no planes landing on Mai Khao Beach. Therefore, we could only get pictures of planes taking off, which was a bit of a bummer.
I'll wait here for a while before heading back. The sky is starting to clear, giving me a glimmer of hope. However, my hopes are likely to be dashed, as the sky is only opening up a little.
If you want to take pictures of airplanes landing, it's recommended to come between October and April. We guarantee you won't miss the opportunity like we did. We secretly investigated from the locals, and next time we won't miss it for sure.
After taking pictures, we took a scenic drive and stopped for lunch at "Guay Tiew Kai" Phuket branch.
Link to Guay Tiew Kai Facebook page
This is one of the restaurants we had bookmarked. Their noodles are giant seafood bowls, and I mean really giant. They have a variety of sizes to choose from depending on the number of people, but today we had the biggest plate, which is for 5-6 people.
The visual presentation is stunning, making you exclaim "wow" at first glance. The dish is incredibly appetizing, resembling a miniature ocean on a plate. The white plate we ordered allows for unlimited refills of broth and noodles. The tom yum broth is exceptional, with a perfect balance of sour and spicy flavors. The combination of fresh seafood and the flavorful broth creates a truly remarkable culinary experience.
The customers enjoyed the food so much that they ate everything, leaving not even a drop of broth. The owner couldn't help but smile broadly.
If you're visiting Phuket and can't decide where to eat, this is one place we highly recommend trying. After enjoying a delicious meal, it's time for dessert. Our next stop is "Cafe' Kantary".
https://www.facebook.com/cafekantary
This charming cafe in the Sri Panwa area offers both indoor and outdoor seating options, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing experience. The menu boasts a wide selection of desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth.
I personally love chocolate, so I chose the Chocolate Fudge Brownie menu. It was delicious! The warm, rich chocolate brownie wasn't too sweet, and it was perfect with the vanilla ice cream.
For drinks, I ordered a blended cocoa and an additional cup of chocolate ice cream. The richness was just right, not too sweet or bitter. Everything was perfect. Personally, I loved it.
After finishing the meal, I returned home to pack my belongings. And then, the time came that we didn't want to face.
This trip was so much fun! Thank you to all the participants and sponsors who made it possible for us to visit such beautiful places and enjoy delicious food at every meal. (I have to whisper that there are many more delicious restaurants, this is just a taste!) We will meet again, Phuket. Let me go back to make some money first. Bye-bye!~~
- P.S. -
Personally, I am a salaried person who loves to travel. I can go anywhere, near or far, as long as I have time and money. Because every time we travel, we have different experiences. Traveling is like taking a break for our body and doing what we love. It feels fun and exciting every day because we never know what we will encounter tomorrow. Will it be what we dreamed of? Although sometimes it may be physically tiring, it is mentally very happy. And another thing, when we travel and see beautiful and cool places, it makes us feel loved and want to keep it like this forever. "Like the trip to Ko Mai Thon this time, it may not be the most beautiful sea in the world, but try it and you will know that it makes us happy all the time we are with it. Or even just looking at the pictures we took instead of memories, it still brings a smile and makes us happy until today."
Finally, thank you to everyone who came to listen to our travel experiences through our writing. I hope this diary will make you happy, have fun, and be a guideline for your trip, no matter how much. And I would like to receive all comments and suggestions. See you again on the next trip!
