Given our school's convenient location in Downtown, we'll begin with nearby attractions.

Walking towards the pier, one will notice a prominent building.

This is a port.

Where can we go from this port?

Devonport

This translation is concise and maintains the original meaning of the single word "Devonport". It is also grammatically correct and appropriate for an academic context.

A small town across the river from Thonburi, just a 15-minute ferry ride away.

The city is a bit quiet upon arrival.

At Devonport, there is also Mountain Victoria. At that time, we followed the GPS and didn't walk far. I remember it wasn't too tiring.

As you ascend, you will encounter red mushroom-shaped seats.

After descending the mountain, we visited the renowned local chocolate shop. The chocolates were delicious, but the shop was rather small and the prices were quite high. There was a wide variety of chocolates to choose from.

Before leaving, I stopped by to take a picture of the Sky Tower view near the pier.

Overall, the atmosphere of the city is pleasant.

Waiheke Island

This island is also accessible by ferry, but it takes about 45 minutes.

A secluded island with few tourists.

At that moment, a plane happened to land, so I stopped to watch.

I was curious about what was interesting on this island, so when I arrived, I saw a bus sign that said where people were going, so I followed them. At first, I went to Palm Beach, but there wasn't much there, so I took the bus back to Stonyridge Winery.

The bus only took us to the mouth of the alley. The rest of the way we had to walk. Luckily, we met an American woman who was just about to go there, so we walked together.

With them

Arrived.

The winery offered a wide variety of wines. We sampled a few with our male companion and enjoyed the ambiance before departing.

The following locations can be reached by bus from the city center. The bus ride is not too long, but we don't remember the exact bus number. (Don't worry, the bus monitor will display the name of the destination.)

MOTAT (Museum of Transport and Technology)

We had a free day, so we decided to visit the Auckland Zoo with a friend. However, we were unsure about the transportation options. We knew we needed to take the Cyberlink, but we got a bit lost and didn't arrive until 3 pm. Before entering the zoo, we came across a museum about vehicles, so we decided to visit that instead. We'll save the zoo for another day.

We saw a sign for a tram going somewhere unknown, so we hopped on for fun. It turned out to be a tram tour of the museum.

As the tram came to a stop, we disembarked and explored the lower level, which showcased various automotive and engine exhibits.

This may not be a famous landmark, but it was worth the chance encounter.

Auckland Zoo

I woke up early this morning and arrived early.

The zoo here appears warm, clean, and well-maintained.

Let's grab a bite to eat.

Mountain Eden

Mountain Eden is a large volcanic crater. We had to hike a long way up the mountain to reach it, and it was quite tiring. 5555

From above, the view of Auckland city unfolds.

Exhausted after our descent, my friends and I decided to grab a bite at a nearby restaurant. We stumbled upon Kowi.

This is a Korean fried chicken restaurant. The name "Kowi" is a playful combination of "Korean" and "kiwi". The food is delicious, and I ate several pieces.

Auckland Museum

The museum exhibits sculptures, animals, and other artifacts. It also features shows about New Zealand history and Maori culture. However, these shows have specific timings, so check the schedule beforehand if you want to watch them.

Pannell Village

A narrow street lined with charming restaurants, galleries, and cafes. Cyberlink cars likely pass through, if I recall correctly.

Let's stop for some cake first.

After that, I took a walk alone and saw a sign for the Rose Garden, so I decided to check it out. There were signs along the way, but it was a bit far to walk.

Upon entering, it resembled a small garden with roses, but unfortunately, it wasn't the season for them to bloom.

On the way, you will pass buildings of this type.

One Tree Hill

This place resembles a sheep farm with a vast number of sheep. I believe we are incredibly close to the sheep here. I've seen some people practically playing with them.

Free entry here.

Climbing to the top, you will find a statue like this. The view from above is beautiful.

Mission Bay

This beach is close to the city and doesn't offer much in terms of activities. There are some roadside restaurants, and it's a short bus ride away.

Before returning to Thailand, we bought honey cream at Countdown to spread on bread. It was about 200 baht per jar, and we brought it back to share with our friends because we thought it was delicious. We ate it often for breakfast when our host family prepared food for us.

This concludes the post about studying and traveling in New Zealand. It was a long one, but I hope it was helpful for those who are interested.
