ONE-DAY TRIP: Kanchanaburi

Transportation: We opted for a van from Bangkok's Southern Bus Terminal to Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal.

The journey takes approximately 3 hours and costs 120 baht per round trip.

The Bridge on the River Kwai

After arriving at Kanchanaburi Bus Terminal, our group of five decided to hire a van for 800 baht to visit four locations: the Bridge on the River Kwai, Krasae Cave/Death Railway, Erawan Waterfall, and Srinakarin Dam.

The area surrounding the Bridge over the River Kwai boasts a pleasant atmosphere. Across the river lies the Guan Yin Shrine, with shops and restaurants offering a variety of services. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll and explore the surroundings.

Tham Kra Sae/Death Railway

After visiting the Mae Kwae Bridge, we headed to the Tham Krasae/Death Railway, where we paid our respects at the shrine inside the cave and took some leisurely photos outside.

Erawan Waterfall

Continuing on to Erawan Waterfall, there are buses available on the Kanchanaburi-Erawan Waterfall route according to the schedule. In front, there are restaurants to serve tourists. However, it was a pity that when we arrived, the sky began to darken and there was a light drizzle, which made it impossible to walk around and see everything.

Srinagarind Dam

The final stop on this trip was the Srinakarin Dam, where we enjoyed the scenery of the dam and the surrounding nature before returning to Bangkok.
