Day 1:

The Mae Klong River was historically a vital waterway for trade and commerce in Thailand. Today, it serves as a popular tourist destination, offering scenic boat trips with dining options and breathtaking views of the river and surrounding mountains. Both international and domestic tourists enjoy this unique cruising experience.

After strolling and taking photos for a while, it was almost 1 pm. We continued our journey to the food market in Kanchanaburi to buy ingredients for dinner at our accommodation. We stayed at a floating raft near Erawan National Park for less than 2,000 baht per night. It had one bedroom but could accommodate several people. There was a grill for us to cook, and a platform for swimming in front of the accommodation. You can jump directly into the water, but if you are not a strong swimmer, please wear a life jacket provided for safety. Sometimes the water flowing from the dam can be strong, so be careful.

Everyone had fun playing with the toys they found.

We then went to sleep at our leisure, as we had an early morning hike to Erawan Waterfall planned for the next day...Zzzz

Day Two

The sentence is already in English and does not require translation.

Upon reaching the 77th level of Erawan Waterfall, we decided to capture our triumph with a photograph. We had ascended the entire waterfall without taking a dip in any of the pools. The water at this level was refreshingly cold, and the absence of sunlight created a pleasant atmosphere. The occasional rain shower only added to the enjoyment of the moment.

For those who have never been to Khao Khad, I recommend visiting to learn about the history of World War II. There are both memorable stories and lessons to be learned to prevent such events from happening again on this planet...

Our final destination, the "Mon Bridge" in Sangkhla Buri, was reached by continuing on Highway 323, a winding road with some uphill sections. The distance from Khao Khajad was 140 km, but it took 2 hours to travel.

Wat Wang Wiwekaram is a newly built temple on the opposite bank of the river. The original temple was submerged due to the construction of a dam. We will take a boat trip to see the submerged temple.
