Kagonoya

Celebrating 7th Anniversary

Hello.

Yesterday, I finally had some free time, so I decided to treat myself to the Kagoya Noya 7th Anniversary Wagyu Buffet at the K Village Sukhumvit 26 branch. The buffet is priced at 777++ and is located on the second floor in the circular zone.

The interior is in a Japanese style.

Bright, clean, and tidy.

The promotional target for today's meal is the top-of-the-line item at the store, priced at 1,199 baht, reduced to 777 baht.

All-you-can-eat menu available.

90 minutes of intense bombardment.

Including drinks, snacks, but Häagen-Dazs was not available when Ronaldo went.

Choose two out of six broths at no additional cost.

Tea and soft drinks are included. Ronaldo asked for hot green tea because it is one of the techniques to get the most out of a shabu-shabu buffet.

Let's get started...

Even without paying extra for sukiyaki, tom yum, and special soup, I still choose the classic kombu and soba-soy sauce soup because it's another technique for getting the most out of a shabu-shabu buffet.

Fresh, clean vegetables in good standard sizes. I especially like that we can choose the vegetables we want without being forced to buy a set amount. It's great!

Vegetables not only help to change the atmosphere of the meal, but also help to enhance the flavor of the soup. The vegetables are only added to the soba-shoyu soup base, as the flavor of the soup will permeate the vegetables. This makes the soup more flavorful and the vegetables themselves have their own flavor without needing to be dipped. This is another technique for eating.

The seaweed broth has a mild, neutral flavor, consistent with their standard recipe.

To enhance the flavor of the seaweed broth, Ronaldo used bamboo skewers as a flavor enhancer.

This adds a subtle richness to the broth.

All that I have done is for this tray.

Today's star: "Kagonoe Beef"

However, I also secretly ordered "Australian beef" to make a comparison of 2 trays.

In summary, the Australian beef provides four pieces per tray. Upon tasting, the beef exhibits a chewy texture in addition to its tenderness.

The Kagonoha section offers three pieces of meat per tray, and the tenderness is… simply exquisite.

Let's get started.

The texture of the large sheet is beautiful, thick, and flawless.

The seaweed broth is specifically intended for dipping meat only.

Enjoy the pure taste of meat without any distracting vegetable flavors or other elements. Indulge in the full experience of the meat, cooked to your desired level of doneness.

The ponzu sauce was a bit too tart for my taste, and it became quite salty towards the end. However, it was the main dipping sauce for this meal.

The sesame sauce was a bit thin in consistency and had a smell that I personally didn't like very much. The flavor was a bit weak.

Raw eggs are also included in the buffet.

Immersing the meat in the egg wash after the marinade will result in a more subtle flavor enhancement, primarily adding the richness of the egg yolk and fat. It may require additional seasoning to achieve the desired level of saltiness.

The meat dipped in the soba-soy sauce soup will have a distinctly enhanced flavor, creating a delightful contrast in taste.

Fried shrimp

While the size may not be small, the meat itself is incredibly fresh, sweet, tender, and bouncy. The head is also oily and impressive.

A flavorful seafood dipping sauce with a generous amount of shrimp, accompanied by chili and garlic for convenience.

Deep-fried skewered prawns, with a slightly thick but satisfyingly crispy batter. The prawns themselves are not small, allowing you to savor their sweet, succulent flavor. The sauce is also rich and flavorful, making for a surprisingly delicious dish.

However, no matter how good it is, the hero of this meal must be Kagoshima beef... Hoho...

Everything remains consistently the same.

Feeling good after eating.

Vegetables and mushrooms as a side dish

The meal was concluded with a light green tea ice cream. Personally, if I had the choice to end the meal again, I would opt for two more trays of Kagoshima Wagyu beef.

Kagonoiya K Village branch is clean, tidy, and well-lit. The service is good and prompt. The Kagonoiya Wagyu buffet promotion for 777++ baht offers generous portions of tender meat. The dipping sauces are not particularly impressive and may require individual adjustments, but the quality of the meat is undeniable. Other noteworthy dishes include the fresh and skewered fried shrimp, which were exceptionally well-prepared. This is the first time I've encountered such a promotion at this price point, making it an excellent value proposition. I managed to consume over ten trays during this visit, but I'll need to pace myself next week due to a busy schedule.
