A Family Trip to Kanchanaburi: Exploring Raya Buri Resort and the New Raya Island Jacuzzi Suite
This trip to Kanchanaburi was different from previous ones, as we were accompanied by our little one. Therefore, we prioritized choosing safe and engaging locations for our child.
Our search led us to Raya Buri Resort, which recently completed construction on their new accommodation option, the Raya Island Jacuzzi Suite. Intrigued, we decided to try it out.
We started our journey from Bangkok early in the morning. Before heading to Ratchaburi, we stopped by Chomcheuy in Nonthaburi.
Many people believe that Chomcheuy is located in Nakhon Pathom. However, it is actually located on the border of Bangkok, Nonthaburi, and Nakhon Pathom.
Chomcheuy is a place that recreates the buildings, houses, and household items of the 1950s. It has many photogenic spots, making it a popular location for filming movies, music videos, and photoshoots.
In addition to the beautiful photo spots, Chom Chey also has a restaurant section.
We took some more family photos and then continued on our journey.
After approximately two hours from Chom Cheuy, we arrived at Raya Buri Resort.
The resort is located above the Srinakarin Dam. You can find the location on the map: https://goo.gl/maps/HbhbJucRwkS2
Address: Tha Kradan Subdistrict, Si Sawat District, Kanchanaburi 71250
Phone: 02316-3577, 02317-1274 (Bangkok phone numbers)
There is a coffee shop in front of the hotel, which is owned by the resort itself. It has opening hours.
Walking straight from the front will lead you to the lobby. On the left is a water bar.
On the right is the dining area, which also offers a scenic view of the resort.
Raya Buri offers a variety of accommodations, including floating bungalows and hillside villas.
The floating raft houses include Raya Island Suite, Raya Island, and Raya Island Jacuzzi Suite.
Hilltop villas offer stunning views of the river, lake, and surrounding hills.

It's time to head to your room!
The room we will be staying in today is the Raya Island Jacuzzi Suite, of which there are only two…oh wow!
The room is divided into three main sections: the bedroom, the dressing room, and the balcony overlooking the water.

Dressing Room
A riverside balcony with an outdoor jacuzzi, soaking in the water while looking at the reservoir is so cool.
If you're tired of playing in the water in front of your room, Rayaburi offers other water activities.
These include kayaking, pedaling swan boats, and floating on wet rafts.
And don't forget to wear your two-piece swimsuit, I mean life jacket, before you go swimming!
For those who want to enjoy nature or have a party, there are large rafts available.
This is a paragraph with text centered.
The River Raft Adventure and Dinner
The river raft adventure concluded just as dusk settled in. While Raya Buri offers a combined raft and dinner package, the heavy downpour near dinnertime forced us to enjoy our meal on the upper deck. Despite the change in plans, the ambiance remained delightful.
Pork with lime sauce, fried shrimp, garlic fried fish, and river prawn tom yum soup.
I must say that the river prawn tom yum soup is incredibly delicious. The prawns are firm and the head is full of roe. It's absolutely scrumptious!

The evening atmosphere at Raya Buri is also beautiful in a different way.
Breakfast at Raiaburi Resort includes American breakfast options such as sausages, ham, fried eggs, bread, tea, and coffee. Thai food options include stir-fried noodles, rice porridge, plain rice, and fried rice.
After breakfast, it was time to check out and head back to Bangkok.
Before leaving, we stopped by the Surin Siha Zoo, located within the Surin Siha Camp. This small zoo serves as an educational resource for children about nature and the environment.
The zoo houses various animals, including deer, snakes, monkeys, gibbons, peacocks, and offers pedal boats for visitors to enjoy.
The zoo is open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
This concludes our trip to Raya Buri Dam, where we enjoyed a relaxing stay. I will share more information about my future travels if I have the opportunity.
