Embark on a River Journey to Wat Arun: Unmissable Perspectives

This captivating journey takes us on a scenic boat ride along the Chao Phraya River, culminating at the iconic Wat Arun pier. With a mere 15 baht, a day of exploration awaits.

Opening Hours: Daily, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Entrance Fee: Free for Thai citizens, 50 Baht for foreigners
Dress Code: Respectful attire required. Shorts and short skirts are not allowed, but sarongs are available for rent at the temple.

The boats depart every 20-30 minutes. If there are many people, it is better to wait for the next round for everyone's safety.
After a short boat ride, we arrived at the pier of Wat Arun, which is as beautiful as its reputation.

The Temple of Dawn is believed to bring prosperity and success to those who pay their respects, just as the sun rises each morning. The interior of the prang is adorned with glazed tiles, Benjarong porcelain, and seashells.

We can walk up to the first floor. Be careful, as the stairs are quite steep. There are many photo opportunities upstairs, and we will take you on a tour around.

This angle is not to be missed. Once you reach the top, you will see that the prang is very large. You can walk around and enjoy the view.
In particular, from the side of the Chao Phraya River, you can see all the way to the Phra Nakhon side.

Four prangs, one in each cardinal direction.

The prang is adorned with glazed tiles and Benjarong porcelain imported from China, featuring exquisite and rare ancient patterns.

Appealing to photography enthusiasts

Below is a spacious courtyard that you can also walk around.

Let's stop for a refreshing drink. The coconut water here is deliciously cool.

The prang in Wat Arun is said to be the tallest prang in Thailand, standing at 82 meters tall and 234 meters wide.

My memories of Wat Arun

For those who are wondering where to go on their day off, I recommend taking a boat ride on the Chao Phraya River.
Enjoy the sights of the riverside attractions and don't forget to stop by Wat Arun. It's truly beautiful.
