Embark on a breathtaking journey through the Vietnamese countryside as we venture into the heart of French charm at Bana Hills. Nestled amidst the majestic mountains of Da Nang, Vietnam, this enchanting destination boasts the world's longest cable car, offering panoramic views that will leave you spellbound.

This trip was relaxing, but there were a lot of people. So we had to find a quiet location. Let's see how it went.
Bana Hills: A Century-Old Resort Town in Central Vietnam
Bana Hills, a renowned resort town in central Vietnam, boasts a rich history spanning over a century. Its origins trace back to the French colonial era, when it served as a popular retreat for the French elite.
During World War I, the French were unable to return to their home country, leading to the first construction of villas. These villas became popular tourist destinations at the time. After the war and until now, the Vietnamese have transformed these villas into tourist attractions and accommodations.
We ascended by cable car, and the view from the top was breathtaking. The cable car system here boasts the world's longest non-stop ropeway, spanning an impressive 5,801 meters.
Enjoying the view despite the large crowds, the cable car ride did not have a long wait time as expected.
The view is like this.
The journey takes about 15 minutes to reach the first station. The air is cool and comfortable. We walked around the first station, not realizing that we had not yet reached the amusement park. From this station, we had to take another cable car to reach the top.
Maps are available here, so be sure to grab one to avoid getting lost. There are many beautiful places to stop at along the way.
We have arrived. It is as beautiful as the story. This place has now been transformed into an amusement park. There are both indoor and outdoor rides. There is also accommodation at another station. I recommend coming early in the morning so you can visit all the stations.
There will be ongoing performances.
Despite the large crowds, we managed to find some less crowded areas to take photos and enjoy our walk.
It's almost noon now, but the weather is still cool. Let's go for a buffet lunch. We can go in the afternoon when there are fewer people.
To capture unique photographs with fewer people, seek unconventional angles that are often overlooked. Observe where the crowds are gathered and avoid those areas. Currently, there is a crowded show taking place, so we are taking advantage of this opportunity to take photos before joining the crowd later.
The parade featured a large number of foreign performers, contributing to the overall French atmosphere of the event.
Let's take a walk up to the viewpoint together.
We have arrived at the warp point. This is the bell, and we are Bank20.
The summit was incredibly cold and windy, but the view was equally breathtaking. From this vantage point, we could see the entire landscape, stretching all the way to the Danang coastline. In the distance, we could make out the silhouette of a Buddha statue, marking the other end of the cable car route. Although we were tempted to disembark at this station, time constraints prevented us from doing so. We were disappointed to miss out on exploring this area further.
The indoor amusement park is packed with toys. When it's crowded, you have to wait a long time. We only played a few rides.
The evening has arrived, and the crowds have thinned, allowing for a leisurely stroll and photo opportunities.

Another technique when there are a lot of people is to turn the camera up to the sky and take a picture of the beautiful view and clear sky.
We appreciate the feeling that comes from Polaroid cameras. It's like capturing a moment in time and preserving it forever.
For us, Vietnam remains a friendly and welcoming neighboring country. It's easy to travel to, affordable, and the transportation is not overly complicated. We highly recommend it for those who want to try traveling abroad for the first time. Vietnam offers a diverse range of experiences, from the north to the south.
