Have you ever heard that…

"Nature can heal everything"?

But the nature we yearn for often comes at the cost of the harshness of long journeys, long travel times, or having to walk into the park, which creates limitations for families with children and the elderly.

Wouldn't it be better if we could relax close to nature, in our own way

In a way that doesn't require long journeys, walking into the forest, or encountering small leeches, with basic amenities available, accessible to the whole family, even children and the elderly...

A Natural Escape: Rejuvenating Minds at Khao Yai National Park

Amidst the relentless pursuit of academic excellence, a respite from the rigors of studying is essential. This journey seeks to rejuvenate weary minds by immersing them in the restorative embrace of nature. Our destination: Khao Yai National Park, a haven of tranquility nestled within the embrace of Pak Chong district, Nakhon Ratchasima province.

Khao Yai, renowned as one of Thailand's premier ozone-rich sanctuaries, offers a convenient escape from the bustling metropolis of Bangkok. Its proximity and accessibility make it an ideal choice for a rejuvenating getaway. Within its verdant expanse, nature's restorative power awaits, promising to soothe the anxieties and replenish the spirits of our young scholars.

For our trip to Khao Yai, we came as a family group, mostly children. We chose to stay at The Jungle House Khao Yai, located on Thanarat Road, the main road leading to Khao Yai National Park, near popular tourist attractions and many shops and restaurants.

Although the hotel is located close to civilization, the area within the hotel still maintains the natural beauty of the Khao Yai forest perfectly. Therefore, it is an accommodation that can meet the needs of people who yearn for nature but are still afraid of hardship, like our family.

Is it as complete and perfect as we boast? We will take you to prove it.

The Jungle House is designed to integrate its structures with nature, immersing guests in lush greenery from the moment they arrive. The check-in counter is located inside, behind the hotel's restaurant.

After checking in, we explored our room. To reach it, we had to walk through a tunnel of climbing plants, which gave us the feeling of entering a real forest, not just a garden with large trees.

Our accommodation, named "Papinyong", is a row of terraced houses nestled in the forest. There are a total of 4 rooms, each accommodating 2 guests with an option to add 2 more. The living space is spacious, and we stayed comfortably with 5 people (2 adults and 3 children). Amenities include a TV, cable TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, water heater, and complete bathroom amenities. Guests can choose between single or double beds by informing the counter staff.

For those who have added a family-style loft bed, the extra bed will be located on the upper mezzanine level. This is where the children love to play, having fun with their imaginations as little Tarzans in the big forest.

The back of the room has a small balcony where you can stand and soak up the morning atmosphere. If you're lucky, you might even spot the resident hornbill.

After packing our belongings, we set out to explore the forest. Here, there is a short concrete nature trail that may not offer a full 100% immersion in nature, but it serves as a good starting point to instill in children a love and appreciation for the environment.

After being excited by the little squirrels that greeted us along the way and expending energy exploring the forest, we headed straight to the dining room. If you are not comfortable eating in the dining room, you can order food to be delivered to your room.

Our dinner menu focused on children's dishes, and I must say, the taste was absolutely delicious. Every dish was a culinary delight.

The Jungle House's restaurant is located in the front zone, right at the hotel entrance. Even if you are not staying at The Jungle House, you are welcome to come and enjoy their delicious food. We guarantee that every menu item will satisfy your taste buds.

The highlight of The Jungle House is the elephant ride through the nature trail within the hotel. This short journey, lasting approximately 30 minutes, offers a unique opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the surroundings. The elephant ride is available from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

There are a total of 3 elephants here, all of which have been well cared for. They have been raised for more than 10 years, so they are familiar with people and not as fierce as the older elephants that are often in the news. The children were a little scared at first, but once they tried riding, they loved it.

Before leaving, we fed Bua Ban some food. Thank you for taking us on a fun adventure through the forest and streams.

This trip to Khao Yai was different from all the others, but it was the most memorable one yet.

For families looking for activities to do together with friends on weekends or during school breaks, The Jungle House in Khao Yai is a great option.
