Renowned as the "Grand Palace," this area is a haven for foodies, offering a plethora of culinary delights. It also serves as a picturesque backdrop for capturing stunning photographs and a vibrant hub for socializing with friends and family.
Today is Sunday. I came to work nearby, so I happened to come here for a visit. Suddenly, my boyfriend complained that he wanted to eat papaya salad, so we walked into this restaurant randomly. But when I tasted the food for the first time, I was like, "Wow..."
This restaurant is located in Tha Maharaj. It is a bit of a walk from the main entrance, next to a Thai restaurant. I don't know the opening hours because I didn't plan to review it. However, after the first bite, I immediately took out my phone to take pictures of the food and the restaurant's interior.

The interior of the restaurant is decorated in a warm and inviting style.
Fresh vegetables were served before the order was placed.
The menu is extensive, with additional options available on the back.
There were so many options to choose from, it was overwhelming! After placing our order, we waited about 15 minutes for the food to start arriving.
Pandan leaf water is also available with collagen.
This shop offers both white and black sticky rice.
The first dish arrived, the spicy papaya salad with fermented fish and crab. The flavors were incredibly well-balanced, and I especially appreciated the addition of tamarind juice. However, a word of caution: if you're not a fan of spicy food, order it with a mild spice level. We ordered the standard spice level, and it was **extremely spicy**, so much so that our mouths were burning.
Next, the tamarind pork bone soup was pleasantly sour and well-balanced, not too spicy. Perhaps my taste buds were numbed by the first papaya salad, but I didn't find it very spicy. Overall, it was delicious, and the pork bones were tender.
The next menu is "Yam Khanom Jeen Pla Tu", a delicious and not-too-spicy dish. I especially enjoy the taste when I scoop it up with pieces of Pla Tu.
The final menu item is a must-try: the spicy pork chop steak with dipping sauce. The pork is tender and flavorful, with a slight marbling of fat that prevents it from being tough. The dipping sauce, made with tamarind, is a perfect complement to the pork. This dish is a must-order for anyone visiting the restaurant.
Go for it...
Extremely satisfying and delicious.
Let's see the damage.
The total cost was around 600 baht, including 7% VAT. The price is considered reasonable. (Just showing off my nails, I just got them done. I'm a bit of a show-off, haha.)
Today's review was a happy accident. We didn't plan on eating here, but it turned out to be delicious. If there are any mistakes, please forgive me. We will continue to review restaurants with my partner, so please stay tuned.
