Hello Phuket! ; )

This is my second time visiting Phuket. My first visit was about 2 years ago.

During my first trip, we went island hopping and decided to take a bus back to Phuket Town.

After that long bus ride back to Bangkok, I told myself that

I'm probably not cut out for long bus rides that last more than 10 hours....

This time, I booked a flight because it was a 3-day long weekend.

For this trip, I wanted to spend more time with my friend in Phuket, so I chose an early morning flight on Saturday

and a late-night flight back on Monday to make it to work the next day. ......

The round-trip ticket cost around 2,600 baht. But if you book early and are flexible with times,

I think you can find round-trip tickets for 1,800 - 2,000 baht (or maybe even cheaper).

I booked my tickets in a hurry and didn't pay much attention to the details. I just looked at the airline and flight times.

On the way there, I flew with Bangkok

Airways, and on the way back, I flew with Lionair.

After I paid for the tickets, I realized that

Bangkok Airways flights depart from Suvarnabhumi Airport.....

And my house is closer to Don Mueang Airport.

The start of a bright trip : )

The goals of this trip are:

1. Eat dim sum

2. Eat seafood

3. Walk around the walking street

4. Find a cafe to relax in

5. Watch the sunset while sipping on some light alcohol

On the morning of October 13th,

I woke up at 2:00 AM (I had just gone to sleep at 12:30 AM). I packed my bags and called a taxi to take me to Suvarnabhumi Airport.

The flight departs at approximately 5:25 AM and arrives in Phuket at approximately 7:30 AM.

This time we rented a car with Hertz. We booked in advance with the Call Center and picked up the car at the Hertz counter at Phuket Airport. When we went, there was an AIS promotion, rent 1 day, get 1 day free.

We started our trip with a morning dim sum feast.

We didn't do much research, just searched for a dim sum restaurant near the airport and headed straight there. "Super Dim Sum"

We arrived quite late, so there were only a few dim sum options left.

We didn't do much today. We checked into our accommodation (which was located near the old town) and then met up with a friend who lives in Phuket. We went to a bar with a nice view of the sea in Patong and enjoyed the atmosphere while chatting with our friend.

In the evening, we arrived in Phuket and craved salmon. We decided to indulge in a salmon buffet at "Kuma" restaurant.

Today, I drove to Laem Panwa to eat seafood at the restaurant "Kieng Le Pla Pao".

The food here is delicious, and I sat and ate for a long time.

In the evening, go for a walk on the walking street.

"Ended the night with a kebab. So delicious! Maybe it was because I was so hungry after all the walking..."

This morning started with a repeat visit to a dim sum restaurant, this time at a branch in Phuket Town. We went early in the morning, hoping to have a wide selection of food to choose from. :)

This coffee shop near the Old Town is great. I love the atmosphere and the coffee.

Today's intention was to watch the sunset. : ) At first, I searched for many places to go, but in the afternoon, we went to worship the Big Buddha and stayed until almost evening. I thought that I wouldn't be able to make it to Laem Phromthep in time. While driving down the mountain, I saw a bar on the way, so I decided to park my car and sit and enjoy the sea view instead.

The sunset here is incredibly breathtaking, with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The crowd is minimal, allowing for a relaxing beer while enjoying the moment. This is undoubtedly the highlight of my Phuket trip.

I have never seen the sunset like this before. It was amazing. It was like saying goodbye to the sun and smiling at each other, saying, "See you again tomorrow." It was a happy goodbye.

To end the trip, we searched for a salad restaurant. We really wanted to eat Caesar salad, and we found a restaurant called "We Cafe" on the way back to our accommodation. We had it before going to bed.

On the morning of October 16, 2018, I woke up at 3 am to return the car at Phuket Airport and flew back to Bangkok to continue working.

See you again, definitely coming back.
