Last weekend, I had the opportunity to stay at Samsen Three Place in the old city area of Bang Lamphu, Phra Nakhon district. I would like to recommend it to anyone who wants to relax in the old city area of Bangkok.
History of Samsen Three Place
The three-story wooden house, painted in candy-colored hues, has stood for over a century. In the era of its construction, the land belonged to Dr. Amathyatri Luang Wityesrangkun, a physician who studied medicine in England and served at Siriraj Hospital during the reign of King Rama VI. He later established a hospital for the care of infants, where former Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej was once a patient.
This teakwood house, originally a long U-shaped building, was converted into a family residence after the business closed. One wing of the building was transformed into a 7-room boutique guesthouse, each room decorated in a different pastel color and named after a fruit: Orange, Strawberry, Peach, Grape, Banana, Kiwi, and Blueberry.
Currently, Samsen 3 Place still has a 5-story building with a total of 40 rooms. It offers both fan and air-conditioned rooms, which were built to welcome tourists and those who want to relax in the Bang Lamphu area.
Travel
Samsen 3 does not offer parking facilities. If guests have their own car, the most convenient way to get there is by boat, taxi, tuk-tuk, or public bus.

Disembark at Tha Tien Pier / Phra Sumen Fort on the Chao Phraya Express Boat. Then follow the map for about 10 minutes.

This building is a shared bathroom, but it is very clean. There are rooms with double beds and single beds with air conditioning.
After that, walk straight out the back and you will find a new building. It is a 5-story building, also beautifully painted. Let me know in advance that there is no elevator here.
This building offers a variety of rooms. I had the opportunity to see some beautiful rooms and I took some pictures of the atmosphere to share with you. There are many different types of rooms available, including rooms with 1 king-size bed, 2 single beds, or 3 single beds. There are also rooms with air conditioning and rooms with fans.
For those seeking privacy and a home-like atmosphere, the fifth floor is highly recommended. It features a single room with a balcony offering panoramic views. The cool breeze from the old town district is truly refreshing, making it ideal for individuals who value tranquility and solitude.
