This is an old blog post of mine that I'm re-sharing here.
EP.1
Doi Inthanon
This trip took place in late 2015.
The true destination is the summit of Doi Pha Hom Pok.
While there may be some errands mixed in along the way, they are not included in this review.
My first night in Chiang Mai, I chose to head towards Li District, passing through Chom Thong before entering Doi Inthanon National Park.
Following our model, sleep when it gets dark.
This trip will involve a mix of camping and staying in houses, as I will be joined by other travelers.
We opted to stay at Doi Chaung Ya.
After driving all day, we arrived and set up our tent to rest. I forgot to take pictures of the tent and the campsite.
I ventured out for a late-night stroll to capture the beauty of the blooming flowers.
Due to arriving late at night and the subsequent difficulty in sleeping, I was unable to take many photos at Doi Chaung Yai.
The area was crowded with tourists, and some groups played loud music and socialized until 1 am, making it difficult to sleep.
Another important factor to consider is choosing a suitable accommodation. I once stayed in Phu Ruea, and at 10 pm, they asked the noisy groups to quiet down.
If you wish to continue making noise, please exit the park.
Upon waking, I was greeted by the serene ambiance of the accommodation.
This is the front entrance.
Feeling hungry now. No more photos, let's grab something to eat first.
I ventured out to find something to eat near the park headquarters. There were several rice shops, and I was so hungry that I didn't take any pictures.
I don't plan to visit many places in Doi Inthanon. I'm just stopping by to rest before heading to Chiang Mai for business.
After finishing lunch, we went to the highest point, but we didn't take any pictures. Before going down, we stopped to take pictures at Kiw Mae Pan.
Those who stopped by Kiw Mae Pan were greeted with this stunning view. They couldn't resist taking a few photos before descending the mountain.
And then I went down to Chiang Mai, but on the way down I decided to stop and relax by the Mae Ya Waterfall for a bit.
After exiting Doi Inthanon, before reaching the main road to Chiang Mai, there is a right turn to Mae Ya Waterfall. There are signs along the way.
Upon arrival, they ordered grilled chicken with papaya salad.
A comfortable walk.
Upon entering, finding a comfortable place to sit was easy.
A picture of a waterfall.
After that, I returned to Chiang Mai, took care of some business, and then prepared for my next trip.
I will continue writing about Doi Ang Khang tomorrow.
Thank you for visiting.
