Tha Chin River Home... Serene as the river, flowing as the wind.

To escape the whirlwind of chaos, both physically and mentally, without resorting to temples or donning white robes, seeking only a day or two of tranquility and stillness, like recharging your batteries and revitalizing your spirit with therapeutic waters, to sit in quiet contemplation without succumbing to foolishness, to allow the gentle breeze to flow through your body, and to become like a water hyacinth, drifting wherever the current takes you... this is the place to be.

A light and airy atmosphere.

Due to certain obligations, we found ourselves wandering to Bang Nang Bua, a small but charming district in Suphan Buri province. We decided to spend the night there and began searching for accommodation based on local recommendations. We asked nearby friends for suggestions, seeking a comfortable and peaceful place to rest. (A brief explanation: Before arriving, I had been working continuously for 7-8 days, so I took this opportunity to relax as well. Since it was a weekday, most residents were busy with their daily routines, making finding accommodation easier due to the availability.)

Based on the general environment, Bang Nang Bua was originally a place where nuns were ordained. The Tha Chin River flows through the area, and both sides of the road are surrounded by rice fields as far as the eye can see. We wanted to find accommodation that was close to the water, close to the rice fields, and close to nature, with a soft bed... Tha Chin River Home is the answer... or is it? Follow me.

While waiting for a response, let's take a trip to the Sam Chuk Market to make the most of our time. Visiting tourist destinations on weekdays, when there are fewer crowds, is truly a delight. The lack of congestion allows for leisurely strolls without the need to jostle shoulders. Additionally, capturing photographs becomes a more enjoyable experience, as the backdrop is free from the distraction of countless heads and unfamiliar faces.

I'm feeling peckish as I arrive at the Sam Chuk Centennial Market. After a brief search, I stumble upon a cluster of giant meatball vendors. Intrigued, I decide to give them a try, assuming they're a local specialty. I order a dry noodle dish, a meatball soup, and some grilled meatballs, filling my table. To my surprise, I'm unable to finish everything. The giant meatballs prove more substantial than anticipated. I pack the leftovers for later, savoring the delicious flavors. Feeling satisfied, I take a leisurely stroll until my friend calls with the name of our accommodation: Tha Chin River Home. Trusting their judgment, I readily agree. We've already discussed our preferences, so I'm confident it will be a comfortable stay. It's time to unwind and enjoy our well-deserved rest.

The atmosphere at the Sam Chuk market on a quiet day…

Leaving the Sam Chuk market for about half an hour, heading towards the original Bang Nang Bua district, there is a left turn into the original Bang temple. Then it is a small road through the green rice fields. Hmmmmm… starting to fit the concept.

Idyllic atmosphere in the rice fields...

Following the clear signs along the way, we arrived at Tha Chin River Home Scarecrow House, a small and cozy homestay nestled amidst lush greenery. The eclectic decor seamlessly blends vintage elements with a natural forest ambiance. A charming café adorned with adorable dolls adds to the quaint atmosphere. However, the true highlight lies at the back of the homestay, where the riverside restaurant boasts a small pier offering breathtaking views. The serene ambiance is simply perfect, exceeding all expectations.

Arrived at Tha Chin River Home, the Scarecrow House...

I'd love a room with pool access. This place has a small pool perfect for cooling off. The room is fantastic, clean, and the bed is incredibly comfortable. I arrived around 3 pm when the sun was still strong. I think I'll take a dip in the pool, then head back to the room to turn on the AC and take a nap. See you later in the evening...

The room is right next to the swimming pool.

Let's play in the water...

After taking a break for over an hour due to a low battery, I'm now almost fully charged. I'll top it off before heading out. Leaving my room, I took a walk and snapped some photos. There are so many great photo spots here! I had a lot of fun taking pictures. There's also a small cafe inside, filled with dolls from various countries. It seems like they've been collecting them for a long time. They're quite charming.

The Tranquility of the River

As the sun began its descent, casting long shadows across the landscape, a gentle breeze swept through the air, carrying with it the scent of the approaching evening. We found ourselves drawn to the banks of the Tha Chin River, seeking solace in its tranquil embrace.

Behind the cozy confines of our homestay, we settled down by the water's edge, allowing ourselves to be enveloped by the serenity of the surroundings. For an hour, we sat in quiet contemplation, our gaze fixed upon the flowing water, the lush greenery, the vast expanse of the sky, and the quaint houses dotting the opposite shore.

As dusk enveloped the scene, our thoughts drifted aimlessly, meandering through the labyrinth of our minds without any particular destination. It was a state of pure reverie, devoid of any profound insights or revelations.

And yet, in that moment of untethered contemplation, we found a profound sense of peace. The gentle murmur of the river, the rustling of leaves in the wind, and the soft glow of the fading light combined to create a symphony of tranquility that washed over us, leaving us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

As darkness finally descended, we reluctantly rose from our seats, carrying with us the lingering essence of the river's serenity. The experience had been a simple one, devoid of any grand adventures or earth-shattering discoveries. But in its simplicity, it had offered us a profound sense of connection with the natural world and a much-needed respite from the frenetic pace of our daily lives.

Riverside beauty...

It's evening, so you can go out and buy something to eat. There are no restaurants here, but you can buy food or ingredients to cook yourself. It's up to you. This also helps to generate income in the area. However, breakfast is provided, which is probably for convenience.

Tonight, only two rooms are open: ours and another family's. If it was peaceful during the day, it's dead silent at night. It's perfect for resting your body and mind. If you're feeling unwell from a hangover or overwhelmed by the chaos in your mind, we recommend seeking solace at Tha Chin River Home. Recharge and replenish your energy to face the new day...

In today's fast-paced world, it is impossible to escape the constant flow of information and the rapid changes in urban society. However, we can choose to pause, take a break, and then restart.

After a delightful evening, we bid farewell with a heavy heart after breakfast the next morning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tha Chin River Home and are confident that we will have the opportunity to visit again in the future.
