The Golden Staircase Rice Terraces of Khun Pae, Chiang Mai 🌾

This translation aims to be concise, informative, and maintain a formal academic style. It avoids personal pronouns and colloquialisms, and focuses on providing factual information about the location.

The golden rice terraces stretched out before us, a breathtaking sight that demanded to be captured. As we made our way to the hydrangea fields, the golden hues of the rice, ready for harvest, filled our vision. The sheer vastness of the scene left us speechless, and we couldn't resist taking countless photos. The reality surpassed any image, leaving us unsure of how to best capture its beauty.

The golden rice fields are in bloom from late October to early November. To get there, drive from Chiang Mai city towards Hang Dong on Highway 108. Pass the intersection to Doi Inthanon and continue for about 26 km. You will see a sign for Tham Tong Meditation Center, turn right and continue driving. The road is winding and steep with sharp turns, some with 5-6 consecutive bends. The road surface is a mix of asphalt and gravel for about 22 km. The journey from the entrance takes about 40 minutes for experienced drivers and about 1 hour for those who are not familiar with the route.
