The journalist recently visited Copenhagen, Denmark, and Stockholm, Sweden. The cities were charming and offered numerous picturesque photo opportunities. Transportation was convenient, with easy access to the city center and a comprehensive public transportation system that allowed for leisurely exploration of the entire city. This made for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

Today, I would like to share some photos and highlight tourist attractions and delicious restaurants (+ not expensive compared to their cost of living). Finally, I will end with some shopping tips. If anyone has plans to go, this might give you some ideas.

Let's go on a trip together!

I used Thai Airways which offered direct flights both ways. On the outbound journey, I landed in Copenhagen, and for the return flight, I departed from Stockholm. It was very convenient as I could get a good long sleep without wasting time on connections. The flight schedule was great too - overnight flights arriving in the morning meant I could start sightseeing right away.

This time I traveled in business class, which came with a dedicated check-in counter, priority baggage handling, and access to the exclusive lounge.

Royal Orchid members also have access to exclusive lounges, which offer comfortable seating and a wide selection of food and beverages.

Business class passengers will now receive an Amenity Kit designed and produced by Jim Thompson, a Thai silk company, with a focus on sustainability. I've arrived in Copenhagen! Let's start the tour at the Little Mermaid statue, which is considered a symbol of Copenhagen.

Rosenborg Palace, once the summer residence of King Christian IV of Denmark, is a magnificent Renaissance-style palace that now houses a museum showcasing the Danish royal family's priceless treasures.

Nyhavn, a historically significant commercial port in Denmark, has evolved into a must-visit tourist destination. Its vibrant, colorful houses lining the canal's banks provide an ideal backdrop for photography, making it a popular attraction.

The city boasts stunning architecture with vibrant buildings, offering a plethora of picturesque photo opportunities.

The Gefion Fountain, a tribute to the Norse goddess Gefion, stands within the Langelinie Park. While the fountain was unfortunately closed during the visit, its presence serves as a reminder of the rich mythology that permeates Scandinavian culture.

The Aleksander Nevsky Church, built in the Russian style, commemorates the marriage of the Danish princess to Tsar Alexander III of Russia. It stands as a symbol of the historical and political ties between the two countries. The church's distinctive feature is its three golden onion domes, unlike any other church in the city.

The Church of Our Saviour, constructed in 1680, stands as a testament to Copenhagen's rich history. Its distinctive feature, the spiraling tower resembling a corkscrew, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city.

This building is one of the tallest in the city, and it can be seen from almost anywhere. The stairs are quite narrow and steep, so it's a bit of a climb to the top, but the view is worth it.

Christiania, a self-governing community located on the site of a former military barracks, operates as an independent city-state. Within its boundaries, residents have established homes, businesses, gardens, a lake, cafes, and other amenities.

The interior boasts unique features, making it a worthwhile destination for a visit.

As I was leaving Christiania, I noticed a sign that read "You are now entering the EU." This was a quirky and interesting detail to observe.

Stroget Street: A shopping street surrounded by numerous stores, and for luxury brand enthusiasts, you can find almost every famous brand you can think of here. Special note!! Shopping in this region offers a higher tax refund rate compared to many other European countries.

Stockholm, Sweden
Next, follow the shrimp to check in at Stockholm.

Stockholm City Hall (Stadshuset) is one of the most iconic and renowned buildings in Stockholm. Situated on the shores of Lake Mälaren, it is best known as the venue for the Nobel Prize banquet. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from the tower.

The ambiance is pleasant and the air is fresh due to the riverside location.

Grand, beautiful, classic

A statue of Evert Taube, a renowned Swedish composer and singer who significantly influenced Swedish music and culture. (In the picture, Kung is gesturing towards the monument, but with the wrong hand - the photographer didn't even whisper to him! 55)

Riddarholmen Church, one of Stockholm's oldest churches, serves as the burial ground for Swedish monarchs and prominent figures.

Mariaberget and Skinnarviksberget offer stunning panoramic views of Stockholm, showcasing the city's beauty from a unique perspective. These viewpoints are free to access, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the breathtaking scenery without any cost.

Note: Be aware that the wind can be strong on these hills, but the panoramic views are well worth the occasional gust.

The designated photo spots are well-partitioned, eliminating the risk of falling, and there are rest areas at regular intervals (as the walk can be tiring).

Standing there, taking in the view, the atmosphere was truly breathtaking. The sunlight, on the verge of disappearing below the horizon, reflected off the water's surface, creating a mesmerizing scene that felt almost dreamlike.

Gamla Stan, the charming Old Town, boasts a vibrant streetscape lined with enticing shops, inviting restaurants, and delightful souvenir stores.

Stortoget Square, the oldest square in Stockholm, is a picturesque location with beautiful buildings in the background. It is a must-visit spot for photography enthusiasts.

The Nobel Prize Museum: A Treasure Trove of History and Innovation

Located across from Stortoget Square, the Nobel Prize Museum offers a captivating journey into the world's most prestigious award. Visitors can delve into the fascinating history of the Nobel Prize, from its inception to the present day, and explore the remarkable achievements of its laureates. The museum also sheds light on the life and legacy of Alfred Nobel, the Swedish inventor who established the prize. Through interactive exhibits and engaging displays, the Nobel Prize Museum provides a unique opportunity to learn about the groundbreaking discoveries and contributions that have shaped our world.

The Stockholm metro stations are renowned for their unique and captivating artistic embellishments, transforming them into subterranean art galleries.

This station is decorated in red, as hot as a blazing flame.

I traveled by train, getting off at each station to take photos along the way, then continuing on to the next station.

I recommends taking photos at each station during the daytime on weekdays. This is because it is during working hours, so there will be fewer people and we will not disturb other people's travel.

The Swedish Parliament (Riksdag) is a magnificent building situated on the waterfront.

The Stockholm Royal Palace, the official residence of the Swedish Royal Family, is a magnificent example of Baroque and Neoclassical architecture. Visitors are welcome to explore the opulent interiors of the palace, which showcase the rich history and heritage of Sweden.

If you arrive on time, you will also be able to witness the daily changing of the guard ceremony performed by the Royal Guard.

Birger Jarlsgatan & Stureplan: A shopping street featuring luxury brand stores, historic buildings with European architectural style, restaurants, bars, and high-end hotels - everything you need to spend your Swedish kronor.

The architecture is beautiful, and even if you don't shop, you can still go for a walk and take pictures.

While shopping enthusiasts are guaranteed to have a blast, they can also enjoy some last-minute shopping before returning home. Notably, the service provided by many brand employees here surpasses that of several European countries I have visited.

Before concluding this review, I would like to add reviews of two more restaurants. The first is TGI Friday's, an American-style restaurant that previously operated in Thailand for a period before closing. I recommend trying their lunch set, which offers excellent value for money.

My friend and I came back to eat two days in a row.

The recommended menu is the Pork Ribs family, which is tender, fragrant, and has delicious sauce. This set costs 175 SEK (rate 3.4), including a large soft drink. In terms of Thai baht, it is not expensive, and even compared to the cost of living in Sweden, it is not expensive at all. And it's delicious too.

Concluding with MAX Burgers, a renowned Swedish burger joint.

This fast-food restaurant chain, originating in Sweden, offers a decent dining experience with multiple locations to choose from.

This establishment is well-liked by both locals and tourists.
