Welcome you all to my long journey to Europe and this part is going to be all about Switzerland.

Starting from Venice
> Montreux > Geneva > Lausanne > Bern > Lucerne > Mt.Titlis > Winterthur > Stein am Rhein > Zurich (back to BKK)
Arriving to Montreux and continue to Geneva
Actually the plan was from Venice we will go to Florence but the plan has changed due to weather forecast that it is going be raining.
From Italy to Switzerland....
Montreux is another romantic city of Switzerland which is located in the French Speaking Part. Once I arrive it start to rain....
Due to bad weather, I decide not to stay here and move to Geneva instead. (It was not on the plan neither)
Geneva....
It is cold, raining and windy so be prepared of that....
Geneva...is quite a modern city as it is a business town. Some people might like it but it is not for me.
After that I go back and stay in Montreux for a night
Go walking around the old town in the morning after check out before heading to Lausanne....
While the weather is still the same....
It is so amazing to be up here...^^ The view of Geneva Lake....
Many people might not know about this romantic town.
Here we are Château-de-Chillon, Veytaux or Chillon Castle ....
During the way back
Go back to the hotel, grab my back and continue to Lausanne....
It takes about 30 minutes from Montreux to Lausanne...
This station I just stop by not stay overnight....
Leaving my bag at the locket in the train station and heading to the lake....
The weather today is still not good, it seems to be raining all the time....
It is in Spring so we can so some flowers that very colorful along the way....
After enjoying the view beside the lake, I move on to old town area...
Unfortunately, both of my camera and phone are running out of battery so I do not have photos of the old town.

Then heading to Bern....

The weather is still not good but I do not care just keep walking....

At the clock tower, it is the symbol of the city and it is a famous city about watch (actually, it is all over Switzerland).

Midday...It is time to move on to Lucerne (Luzern) which takes us about an hour.
Once arriving, checking in to the hotel and go out to discover the town right the way.....

After walking for a while, I have to go back to the hotel as tomorrow I have to go up to Titlis and the weather will be good only in the morning.
Arriving at Titlis, this is my main destination moreover than Matterhorn. (Due I do not have time so I skip Jungfrau).
Direction Titlis
Lucerne > Engelberg > Bus > Cable Car >>> Titlis....
Lucerne > Engelberg takes about 45 minutes and continue with bus for about 15 minutes then take the cable car to the top for about an hour.
The bus stop is right in front of Engelberg Bahnhof

Alright!!! Let's move up to top which is not the top of Titlis, it is the top of the viewpoint...

Staying outside for an hour, I am feeling like my body is frozen...
PS: Recommended time is in the morning because there are less people and also please follows the rules.
Some people come here for skiing...
Engelberg is another peaceful town that has fresh air and great atmosphere.....
Then heading back to Lucerne, hopefully the weather is better than yesterday....
The weather is better so let walk around the city.....
Walking around until it get dark and arrive to the other side of the town....
The favorite corner of everyone....

Actually my plan was staying in Zurich for about 2-3 days but as public transportation here is so easy to take, I have many more places to stop by as well as Winterthur. The city is only 15 minutes from Zurich Airport by train so I decide to stay here instead.
From Lucerne to Winterthur is about one and a half hours by via the train at Zurich.
At Winterthur, I stay at Ibis hotel which is only 3 bus stops from the station....
As it has been raining all day, I did not have that much photo about the town. It is another peaceful town that maybe best for a day trip.
It is time to go back but body does not want to...
As my flight is in the afternoon so I plan to go to Stien am Rhein in the morning.
Checking out in an early morning and take the train to Stien am Rhein...
There is a train every hour from Winterthur to Stien am Rhein...

Once I step in to the town, I think Why did not I come earlier????? T_T
It is so beautiful and located beside Rhien River. The architecture of houses and cathedral are also similar to Rothenburg ob de Tauber, Colmar, and Strasbourg because it is also located besude Rhien River and used to be same kingdom in the past so they all have quite similar architecture.
The time is passing by so fast...it is time for me to go back...
Taking the train back to Winterthur, get my bags and take another train to Zurich Airport.

...For travelling alone...
- It is not that scarily as I thought because it is safe and easy
- It is more fun than I have ever thought
- New friends and new experience
- Get off my comfort zone
- Cheaper than I thought
For example: Train ticket Global Pass 15 days + Swiss pass flex 4 days = 746 Euro or about 26,xxxTHB but if I travel by a single ticket it is probably over 75,xxx THB.
Give yourself a freedom to travel.....
