The Professional by Kru Rodj, established by Rungroj Dullapan, invites over 100 teachers and students to present a music phenomenon and a merit making opportunity which gives back to the society through a charity concert Sing for Help 2017 under the concept 10-Year Sing for Help, Sing for the Memory. Thai people are invited to join this journey and celebrate a decade of success through a fundraising activity to help the underprivileged through charity organizations. This charity concert will be the final edition of this outdoor concert. The concert will raise funds to support the construction of Ban Paew Eye Hospital and procurement of medical tools to help underprivileged patients with eye conditions.

Kru Rodj or Rungrodj Dullapan, a singing teacher who founded The Professional by Kru Rodj, said, “Sing for Help charity concert is a powerful gathering of music people to give back to the society through music. Over the past decade, the teachers and famous artists who are either alumni or current students have raised funds to support organizations which help the underprivileged in our society. The funds have been used to help our society sustainably such as by helping children with cleft lip and cleft palate in Yim Suay Siang Sai project by the Thai Red Cross, supporting the purchase of medical equipment for Children’s Hospital Foundation, assisting the Thai Alarynx Club at Siriraj Hospital, and raising funds to buy hearing aids for Setthasathian School under the Royal Patronage.

Sing for Help 2017 charity concert’s mission is to give through music. This is a significant event which brings together 100 singing teachers and artists who are current or former students of The Professional by Kru Rodj to use their voice to present the power of giving, inviting Thais to make donations to support Ban Paew Eye Hospital’s construction and medical supplies to help underprivileged patients with eye conditions.”

Kru Rodj continued, “This is our last outdoor concert before I leave it to my students who will keep giving in other forms as music people. The journey of Sing for Help has continued for a decade and we will wrap up with this memorable concert under the concept 10-Year Sing for Help, Sing for the Memory” through the voice of well-known artists such as “Tu” Nantida Kaewbuasai, “Jeab” Nontiya Jewbangpa, “Kwang” Kamolchanok Komolthiti, “Aokbab” Chutimon Chuengcharoensukying, “Non” Chanon Santinatornkul, “Sophie” Apsornsiri Intarakusin, “Yves” Puttida Sirachaya, “Image” Suthita from The Voice, “Kang” Vorakorn Sirisorn, “Pinta” Nattanich Rattanasaereekiet, Part Kieran, “Aim” Satida Pinsinchai, “CD” Guntee from The star 10, AF 10-12 singers, and The Star singers. The performance is divided into four parts.

  • A Christmas choir featuring happy festive tunes like I will follow him | When Christmas comes to town | Warm & Fuzzy | Rudolph the red nosed reindeer | All I want for Christmas is you | Celebration

  • Songs of Friendship featuring popular songs like Sabaidee Rue Plao | Ying Ru Jak Ying Rak Ther | Kradod Kord | Thum Yoo Nai Jai | Hau Jai Phuk Kan.

  • Songs of Giving presents songs with inspiring meaning such as Ther Khue Pleng | Kod Kod | Khue Rak Thae | Nam Oei Nam Jai | Ther Phu Mai Pahe | Song Tor Kwan Rak | Ton Mai Khong Phor.

  • Farewell Songs to create the last memory include special theme song by Neung Jakkawal and Mac Sarun | Khwam Suk Khwam Song Jam Mai Mee Thee Sin Sood.

A limited edition commemorative T-shirt in memory of 10 years of Sing for Help, designed by the teachers, in red, white and blue, are available for sale. The design is inspired by previous years’ concerts and stories of giving, illustrated through the three symbolic colors of Thailand.

Short-sleeve T-shirt is priced at 300 baht, long-sleeve T-shirt is priced at 500 baht, and jacket at 600 baht.
