When we first got invited to the press conference for the launch of the newest resort in Pattaya - X2 Oceanphere, we were so excited to stay a night here. Thanks to a complimentary voucher, we were lucky enough to get a chance.

This has to be one of our favorite resorts, especially in Pattaya. So come join us as we take you around X2 and tell you what's what here.

As soon as you enter the property area, it's like you're at this private island of luxury and sophistication.

These stairs at the lobby area (and where the restaurants, spa and fitness is located) immediately grab your attention. You know that you're going to take lots of photos here for the 'gram.

This door is also pretty "Instagram-able".

After you check-in, they take you to the room in a golf cart. However, it's possible to walk there too as the rooms aren't that far.

Lots of in-room amenities to enjoy

Here is how our one bedroom villa looked like. I absolutely loved the color minimalistic color scheme of whites with dispersed orange and blue elements. It gave a very luxury feel in a non-pretentious way. Just the way we like it.

In the room we had everything we could need. Technology-wise it has a TV, Bluetooth speakers, and a telephone. In the bathroom - a bathtub, shower, toilet and of course all the grooming items you can think of. Behind the bed, a mini fridge complete with a mini bar as well as a coffee/tea maker and even a cocktail set!

We even starting thinking that if there was a zombie apocalypse, could we survive? Yea, I could see it happening for a day or two before we would run out of food and drinks...but then there is always room service and Food panda (provided they are immune to a zombie attack).

5 things to do in the Pool Villa

Read a book or magazine. You can bring your own or spend some time reading the in-house magazine that tells a story about each of their property within Thailand.

Make a cocktail...or two...or 10!

I had a nice time making my own drinks. I love using the cocktail shaker as I'm a pseudo bartender who enjoys crafting new drinks. It's usually me that is making the drinks at parties anyway.

However, this one we ordered from room service. I didn't have the ingredients for a LIT.

Lounge by the pool

Get in the pool to do...whatever

OK, well, not whatever but you can swim a bit or simply chill in the pool.

Listen to music, dance, do a photo shoot

Whether you're inside the room or outside, just turn on the Bluetooth speakers, connect your phone and listen to some music. Then get some drinks in you and you're ready for your own party.

Given that you're not too loud, you're free to do anything you want in your private villa. This is what I love about resorts like this. Privacy without the solitude.

What if I get bored in the villa?

Well, there is a lot more to do in and around the resort too.

Fitness and Spa

There is a small fitness room and spa at X2 Pattaya. The fitness room in particular isn't anything great but it has a few weights and couple of cardio machines. However, they do have bikes and electric scooter that you can rent for free. It's a great way to explore the area in and outside of the resort.

Chili Blue Bar & Infinity Pool

They also have a bar with an infinity pool on the 3rd floor of the main building so if you get bored in your room, this is a pretty cool place to hang out. .

Breakfast with champagne

Drake said it best when he sang "Champagne with purpose while I'm yawning
Can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning". That's exactly what we felt when we had the breakfast at X2. Oh and what a breakfast it was. First we got a menu where we got to select our main dish, which was basically a choice between different styles of egg and other items. We went for Eggs Benedict with sausage and bacon. Rest of the stuff such as breads, cereal and soft drinks was all you can eat.

The champagne was also all you can drink! We could only have 3 glasses each...mainly because we arrived just 30 minutes before breakfast was ending. We opted to make our champagne into Mimosas using orange and pineapple juice. We could even add fruits such as strawberry and blueberry. Hmmmm, it was so delicious! Also really like how they bring you the bread and fruits platter in a 3-tier

Explore Bang Saray beach and town

X2 Pattaya Oceanphere just minutes drive away from the beach and Bang Saray fishing village. You could either ride a bike, scooter or your own car there. Bang Saray has a lot of things to do from restaurants and bars to temples and local markets. It's a nice place to spend the day as well.

It's all along the beach too! Oh and yea DISCLAIMER, the sand isn't white like this photo...it's edited...but shhh don't tell anyone.
